Quick question: what mold was in the weird flex 2023 player pack?
In sweden the kastaplast discs are 199kr in K1 wich equals to about 18$, which feels like just average for premium grade plastics
Don’t sleep on the Mint Freetail, great understable driver
Putting 2 of their best discs right off the bat in the third tier is wild.
Trespass is the people’s driver. It will be your furthest flying disc. That and the vanish for flip up straight lines.
So Trilogy has not produced any distance drivers since 2021? 🫣
I think the Discraft Cicada is very good for people who are a little past being a beginner, you can make some crazy shots because of how stable it is.
gorgon ?
For some reason it seems the trilogy orbit whatever plastic (opto, supreme, ...) is often like a softer coating a top of another plastic. I had flashing on the Slammer which I bought for giggles and when sanding it down it quickly went through the soft rubber and underneath was just whatever plastic the disc otherwise is. And same goes with my ice orbit Pure. Flashing, sand down, where did the top layer vanish. They're pretty but don't seem durable, the trilogy has some minor flashing issues.
Innova IT was basically supposed to be a Leopard4. Rated 76-21 was originally designed as an 85-21 (re: 18mm rim) but turned out to be too flippy for 8s, and recategorizing it as 76-21 makes it look better on paper.
You guys do no research before your videos? Missing many discsflight numbers. Lost of discs in the description would also be helpful; 2:29 cannot find the "gracko" at any retailer. Not sure if no one has stock or if it's amerispeak. Flight numbers and disc list needed.
Where are you finding understable Destroyers? Not saying you're lying i just want to know so i can buy it in the future. Unless you're talking about a lightweight beat up DX Destroyer, of course those can flip.
All of the active line discs ive felt have felt like really good plastic. Not what id call top of the line but for cheap discs its better than any other baseline plastic ive had. The molds themselves are whatever. The mentor i got was way more stable than it said and the astronaut was as flippy as an old beat up DX sidewinder.
Innova Champion Valkyrie Innova Star Sidewinder Innova Champion Eagle Innova RPro Pig Westside BT Soft Swan 2
Can you rank drivers that you're able to hyzer flip, please? This list is hilarious.
I have a first run rask and I love it
Most likely you had a Core Honey. They are not even the same disc anymore. Most of the Honeys before rebranding to wild honey were more stable then what Hades usually is. The blue proto Honeys go for a lot right now because they were the most stable versions of the Honey. Easy distance but definitely not unreliable. I had about 400 feet back then but that thing would not hyzerflip. Thrown flat they had a little drift for me to the right but always came back. Been too scared to try a wild honey cause from what I've heard they are more Hades like and that's not what I'm looking for.
How'bout the Time Lapse (Neutron and Fission are 2 different molds :-P )
hunter did you throw any defenders? i had a lucid that was dope. and i bag destroyers. i noticed my game slumped since not having it, would sorta end up grabbing it as a goto as like it would fit the same slot tho. idk.
I love love love the anvil sidearm more approach than mid range but its so solid
The invader is the only Innova disc I own. Everything else is MVP/Axiom, low glide approach discs aren’t something that really gels with their technology.
The discmania TD and the Innova made TD are nothing alike. Flights are different (discmania made is more like a 0,2 turn and fade). The wings are also completely different. The innova made TD is convex while the discmania made is concave. The new innova Gorgon is the exact same mold as the innova made TD. Compare them and see for yourselves.
We all know that the Glitch is the best 1 speed. As long as there’s no wind
Gateway has some good distance drivers that came out recently. Anti Gateway channel?
Where's the grace?
Find a Z Lite Venom & try to throw it. Thank me later.
I got a Claymore in a Trilligy Challenge this year and almost liked it. However I found it very touchy and never quite know it if it was going to turn right, left or go straight.
PD2 > Venum
IME a really domey Curl is a bomber, like a good Star Wraith. The flatter ones are flippy like pro Wraiths.
Shhhhhhhh don't mention anything Innova to these two.
Jet is 11,5,-3,2 and that baby gets some super easy distance.
I got a glow astronaut 🤌🏼🤌🏼
I agree that some of Yikun's old stuff is hit or miss but they have been coming out with some great stuff. Check out The She Gong and Fu Xi. Great straight to under stable Distance Drivers that were approved 2023.
I bought 3 scorches. Terrible. Definitely not understable as Reid says. They fly like 11 4 0 2. Gave them all away for better stuff.
Thats how mine fly thrown less than 250', but my Z Scorch flip up and glide a long way thrown farther... not stable enough for headwinds imo. What plastics/weights? =)
@Iliyena87 all 3 esp max weight. I throw about 350 max. Not even a slight flip if thrown flat. Just way better discs out there.
@@justinsimpson9892 Expected ESP to be flippy! Wowsa, might have to get some, loving the feel of a microbeaded convex rim! =)
Got an ESP at a tourney, flies like a beefy Wraith. Glad I'm not the only one lol.
Founders curl is what you need....
Westside getting a lot of love in the comments but I'm a huge fan of the Warship. It's my favorite straight midrange and flies further for me than anything else.
Try a 148g Innova Charger. I've got a 'throw a Wraith 300ft' arm but my local Innova pro talked me into trying a light Charger. It is super fun to throw and I can get a S turn out of it. It goes in my bag if playing wide open courses. Another enjoyable disc ranking video.
I've got that same arm. Maybe 325-330 if I'm giving myself credit. I'll keep that in mind. Distance drivers are crowded in my bag right now, just bought 3 Gorgons. I'll add it to the never ending list of discs to try though.
@JaredTG. It's a serious illness, my three new Gorgons just arrived from the Innova factory store today. One in each plastic.
@@cosmoleanGuys, lightweight Champ Tern will add distance, I promise. I'm talking, 164ish. Once you develop your arm, lightweight Shryke. Two amazing discs not talked about too often. The Gorgon is exceptional, by the by.
I love scorch lol 😅
My Yeet has the same "wb" stamp as my warbirds. I'm not a fan of alpha and definitely prefer Bravo or glow plastic. Also like the DD for sure. It's got some understability but for me the one I have does have some fairly reliable fade at the end.
It’s genuinely comical at this point to watch how much Luke actively avoids saying nice things about Innova🤣
For Lone Star/Hooligan - The yeet is the warbird, the vibe is the curl, and the thread is the lariat.
And none of them are done by LS for Hooligan anymore right? Don't remember whom they started to work with after they split, they have reapproved something as well... Didn't Hooligan also do the Flip? Would love to try that midrange!
@@Iliyena87 correct they no longer have an affiliation with lone star, the new vibe has been reworked and the plastics are gateway. The flip was a hooligan original through lone star, so it could come back without re-approval I believe, as well as the cash (which might already be back, I didn't remember in know they have the dime now).
Any reason the newer distance drivers were omitted? Discraft Drive? Innova Gorgon? Also agree with the Time Lapse being included.
What about having some notes on the discs before you make the video? That way you know the numbers and have some more info on each disc.
I didn't see the Strive or the Brave from Latitude or others from Dynamics. I clicked off the vid immediately after the comment.
Agreed
Agreed
Congratulations, you are a superior human. Everyone should bend to your will.
You should try out the new CNC driver. I got the CNC-, and it is nice!
I heard the newer Fission Time Lapse is pretty fabulous.
Lone Star doesn't make Hooligan discs anymore. Gateway manufactures them now. Also, the Hooligan Thread was the same mold as the Lone Star Lariat.
I love the Jet. I bag 2! A proton one which is way more stable (it's like an entirely different disc) and the neutron one for tailwind bombs. The neutron one with a hair of hyzer is my distance record holder. Bang for the buck, an incredible disc.
They are so good!
There’s like 8 more molds that deserve to be on the list that aren’t even here…
Sounds like you could be more specific :-) - and I bet they’ll make another list for us
@@JacobWarwick Sure; here’s some very notable ones that didn’t appear: Innova Racer, Innova Gorgon, Discraft Drive, Gateway Ether, Gateway Realm, Westside Prince, Axiom Timelapse, MVP Trail, L64 Strive, Lone Star Growler, Finish Line Daytona, Finish Line Interval, Sacred Discs Starship, Innova Juggernaut Best part? None of these go before 2023
Many of what you listed are so new they're not yet readily available in most stores and some are in prototype phase. Reviewing such product is waste of time for viewers, they can't buy it, and how could one review something that has not been tested properly? So, while it's cool there's more new discs coming I would limit my ranking to only those which are now commonly available in most shops.
I have seen many or bagged of the discs on his list. I have been really loving the PP Drive. It has a very tight straight flight with little left to right. Still traveling over 400.
Venom #1 Time-Lapse #2
My favorite disc that no one talks about is unfortunately out of production at this moment, the Discraft Impact. There was a tournament special released last season, but normal production from what I understand has stopped. It is a fantastic mid-range disc that can point and shoot with the best of them. It has glide for days and is very beginner friendly. I have been playing disc golf for most of my life and I still find a place in my bag for some. Every time I throw one I am surprised by how much glide and distance they get even after all these years. Great video Swanky!! You earned a new sub today! Keep up the great work!
