Hello! This is one of multiple channels owned by DFW Railfan Productions. This channel is all about my passion for outdoor warning sirens, storms, my NOAA weather radio, and some tornado related stuff I own!
I won't post real sirens often on here because they only go off during a test or an emergency. However I will post weather radio videos and sirens in games like Roblox. But occasionally you'll find siren videos.
Anyways, thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy these videos!

Nice, I got Plano
We installed it in April. System does wail now. As time progresses, all units will be replaced with 2001-130s.
That's very nice to know! I didn't know they switched to Attack/Wail.
Hey, just so you know, this signal is Attack and 90 seconds is the standard test length in Dallas. They did 3 minutes in 2020/21 but switched back in 2022
I am aware about the signal. I for some reason did not pay attention and accidentally wrote "Alert" instead of Attack. I did not know they switched to 90 seconds though, so thank you for the information! I'll change the title and thumbnail as soon as possible to show the correct signal
@@dfwstormsandsirens lmao it be that way sometimes. The amount of dumb shit I’ve typed because I wasn’t paying attention is … immense. You’re welcome for the info!
Nice video!
Thank you!
Hey DFW Storms And Sirens I Can Hear 👂Federal Signal 2001-SRN In The Background Also I Love ❤️Hearing 👂The Siren Ambience Too
Hey DFW Storms And Sirens Cool 😎Siren Ambiance I Can Hear 👂 Federal Signal 2001-SRN In The Background
I don't hear Thunderbolt 1000/1000T from Dallas. It's been only active sense the year in 2009. In 2010 they had 2001-130's that's installed and it's begin to active those sirens in dallas.
Yeah well idk, there are some departments still using the t-bolts. The one at Station 47 seems to go off every time. I guess some of the guys down there like to activate it despite there literally being a 2001 a couple hundred feet away
@@dfwstormsandsirens They actually let them set it off except for us. Back in August of 2021 they got to film a Dallas Thunderbolt 1000 set it off the first time. they only active with RCM Controllers which only the 1000 they set it off over there dallas fire stations, the controllers was inside the dallas fire station. But I ask a friend of mine if this maybe August they would probably do a Thunderbolt 1000 again this summer to set it off for us again. they could do a Station 11 Station 45 Station 48 Station 55 Station 31 any Stations they could set it off the older Thunderbolt 1000's again this summer.
If you turn your volume up all the way at the beginning, you will hear the ambiance of a Thunderbolt 1000/1000T from Dallas. I was in northern Carrollton when I filmed this, so that's just to prove how loud those things really are. Despite them being inactive, there are a few departments out there that still use them lol And yes, i know Farmers Branch has similar sounding sirens, but there is a pretty noticeable discrepancy between Dallas' thunderbolts and some of FB's whelens. In this video you can almost perfectly hear the ambiance of one of the tbolts. I dont know how it was possible to hear it, but yeah.
I’d call that a Thundermod if it was a mod, but how about Thundertex?
XT22 imitation 10/12 port ❤
Actually it’s the same as Thundermod’s UV
@@tornadof25 that's good
It would be nice if they had an 8 port Bflat toned siren nearby, like a T-128, maybe add a C as a model siren would.
Bro how Whelen sounds like this like Mobil B&N director
This doesn't sound like a thunderbolt, it sounds like a 500SHTT in my opinion.
Whats the location of the first one, i plan to record it.
4460 Spring Valley Rd
Nice work
Thank you!
2nd one sounds like the EOWS 612 from Hawai’i
Meh. More like a thunderbolt at chopper level 7
@@nationsirenproductions5209then the blower would be off when it’s a test
THE FIRST ONE SOUNDS LIKE A THUNDERBOLT 1000T WITH A 6M ROOTS BLOWER
That's why I call it the VorBolt.
Sounds like a system of 500s and Thunderbolts ngl
Yeah but they're all Whelen Vortex R4s. Obviously they sound like that because Goddard Enterprises installed UV and ThunderMod onto them
Hey DFW Storms & Sirens That Whelen Vortex R4 Sounds Like Federal Signal 3T22 But I Enjoying Hearing👂Federal Signal DSA 6
Hey DFW Storms & Sirens That Whelen Vortex Finback Sounds Like Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1000T
MUY PARECIDO A THUNDERBOLT 1000T PERO POCO DIFERENTE
Windup begins at 0:40 for anyone not wanting to wait. Also turn your volume up all the way to hear all sirens! This features sirens from Farmers Branch, Carrollton, and Addison, TX. You will mostly hear sirens In Farmers Branch, Whelen Vortex R4s. In the first minute, you can faintly hear a Carrollton Federal Signal 2001. And around the start, you may hear a couple Addison DSA sirens. Sirens heard: Whelen Vortex R4 (Farmers Branch, located at Valwood Pkwy) Whelen Vortex R4 (Farmers Branch, located at Senlac Dr Whelen Vortex R4 (Farmers Branch, located at Welch Dr) Whelen Vortex R4 (Farmers Branch, located at Janie Stark Elementary (this is faintly heard.) FS 2001 (Carrollton, likely located at Josey Ln) DSA 6 (Addison) The Vortex at Janie Stark is faintly heard sounding Alert in 850hz between 2:59 and 3:04.
Whelen VorteXT22 siren.
Whelen vortexbolt 1000t
How do you customize a uv to do a thunderbolt tone
FSPWARE programming software and a LOT of patience
I believe FB and Addison were customized by Goddard Enterprises in about 2015. Reason I say that? I was sitting in a bedroom back in the day during a tornado warning, doing nothing but minding my own business. Then I heard what I thought sounded like cars passing over a highway, but since there isn't a highway nearby within about a mile/half mile from my home, I realized it was the sound of the first siren. But at that time I didn't know what was going on, so I was like "meh, it's just a storm" when an EF4 was hitting the city about 20 miles away.
Where was the second one located
32.9097694, -96.9214903 on google maps
Nice video
Thank you!
@@dfwstormsandsirens You're welcome
If yall are wondering about the house and that door closing and opening by itself, there's an explanation to that. This house is my grandparents' house. They moved in to that house almost 40 years ago iirc. While the house is most certainly not haunted despite its age, it is very old, and is slowly collapsing. The room I filmed in at the start is the living room. The walls look like that because they're obviously wood. As for the door, that is the bathroom. It is usually always left open with a lamp on in there. Next to the toilet is a window which has a screen but is always left open for various reasons. Now this wind almost reached peak winds, with the peak winds being 59 mph, and our area only got one mph less. The wind was strong enough to move the door open and shut. While the environment looks ominous and haunted due to the lack of lighting throughout most of the house, I can promise you that this house is most definitely not haunted. I can tell because I have had some paranormal experiences. If you want to, I'll tell you about them. But let's not get off topic here. Anyways, when I shine the flashlight at the bathroom, you can see colored handprints and barely readable text. Well the handprints are just something I did when I was much younger. FYI, I didn't get ahold of some paint and put handprints all over the walls; I was allowed to. As for the text, it's just a "tradition" at this point.
Looks like a horror movie
Creepy
GOD DAMN

2t22/vortex
Hmm that’s a bit sus but ok
The back of the siren remind me of solar cell
thundermodwhele

basically lol. Didn't expect this unit to sound that way
Sounds like a 3/2t22
Yea. That's becuz they have thundermod tone programming (or ultravoice)
Very interesting pitch. Nice!
Yup. FB's sirens are designed to sound like that
What game is that?
I forgot what the name was but I'll get it to you later
😁
Nice radio.
Sure is. Thanks for watching
Ya really it might alert ⚠ you and any one close enough to hear it. but its more of a toy so don't expect any one to truly be alerted . who would you expect it to hear it when a dangerous E-F 2-4 tornado is heading in your Path. .
Nah, it's not really a toy. It's 115 db at 100ft
Siren sounds a bit like a sad vaccuumcleaner :P
It's because I have to sound it low because it's an apartment
Come move to mesquite tx bro.
Nah, I'm good here.

Thanks!
Appreciate the context. Glad you all are safe. We are in Plano.
Yep, I'm 100% okay. We got hit hard but no damage in Carrollton as far as I know.
This video also includes power flashes, a shelf cloud, high winds, and a lot more. You just have to watch to find out cause it was awesome being in this storm and finally hearing the sirens for an emergency! Edit: I also set my *own* siren off in Alert & Attack about 4 times, you can see a couple other videos of me setting it off for emergency activations.
Did your lights go out?
