Farmers Branch TX: Whelen Vortex, DSA, & FS 2001 3 Minute OWS Test Ambience Full Alert (August 2023)
This is the August 2023 monthly test of the outdoor warning siren system. Every month (assuming the skies are clear and weather permitting) in Farmers Branch, the outdoor warning sirens in the city will be activated for 3 minutes at 1 PM local time. Today, I mightve been able to hear Addison, Farmers Branch, and Carrollton all in one. I caught the test 1 year ago, however I seemed to have only heard Farmers Branch. Hope you enjoyed!

Windup begins at 0:40 for anyone not wanting to wait. Also turn your volume up all the way to hear all sirens! This features sirens from Farmers Branch, Carrollton, and Addison, TX. You will mostly hear sirens In Farmers Branch, Whelen Vortex R4s. In the first minute, you can faintly hear a Carrollton Federal Signal 2001. And around the start, you may hear a couple Addison DSA sirens. Sirens heard: Whelen Vortex R4 (Farmers Branch, located at Valwood Pkwy) Whelen Vortex R4 (Farmers Branch, located at Senlac Dr Whelen Vortex R4 (Farmers Branch, located at Welch Dr) Whelen Vortex R4 (Farmers Branch, located at Janie Stark Elementary (this is faintly heard.) FS 2001 (Carrollton, likely located at Josey Ln) DSA 6 (Addison) The Vortex at Janie Stark is faintly heard sounding Alert in 850hz between 2:59 and 3:04.

Yeah but they're all Whelen Vortex R4s. Obviously they sound like that because Goddard Enterprises installed UV and ThunderMod onto them
