    It's a great little spot! I think it's easy to skip over a bit with the likes of the Gibb River Road and El Questro so close by (I know we almost went straight through Kununurra the first time we were up there) , but its a gem of a spot to explore. Would love to get up to Wyndham one day though!

    Thanks for another great video guys. I'm setting a tourer similar to yours with a rooftop tent, and noticed you use your Maxtrax for levelling your car. Is that generally all you need or do also need some higher levelling ramps? Cheers Gaz

  • @BorderlandExplorers

    No worries and thank you for watching! 😀. Yep we only ever use maxtrax for levelling and that’s all we’ve found that we need. We carry 4, and do use all 4 sometimes. I don’t think it’s worth trying to squeeze in extra levelling ramps if you’re short on space!

    We have no weight left for any friends to come with us, put it that way! lol. We did a Pedders 3450kg GVM Upgrade which has been awesome. Our last fully loaded weigh-in was about 3400kg. That's for full-time living though - we did a year on the road. Since being home, we don't need as much gear in there for our shorter trips and have more weight to play with now.

    Curious, how do you go with condensation in the RTT... you are probably the best to ask given the amount of time you have been living in one now...

  • @BorderlandExplorers
    @BorderlandExplorers5 күн бұрын

    The Bush Company that we run is excellent. We don't get condensation issues at all and we've been in some VERY cold weather in the Vic High Country) with all of the canvas sides zipped up. The key is leaving the condensation vent open and it's good as gold. We did a lap of Australia with a soft shell rooftop tent a few years ago and it was shocking - like dripping wet walls all the time. Definitely depends on the tent :)

    That’s awesome, you’ll love the trip! We have only ever stopped at the carpark that’s RIGHT on the Oodnadatta Track - it’s literally next to the track. That’s where this footage is from. We have seen that turn off that runs to a more northern part of the Lake (looks like it runs along the Western side of the Lake in a Northbound direction) but we haven’t done it and aren’t too sure what kind of condition it’s typically it. Would be interesting to see what it looks like from there though!
