I'm not sure what you mean. Once the rom has been connected, the rom files are then stored in my documents with your savefiles.

For some reason the Zelda64Recomp application won't open for me. It'll open while it's still in a zip file, but as soon as I extract it to a folder it won't open up the window. **EDIT** Turns out it was Windows Defender. If anyone else has this issue be sure to go to properties and tick the "Unblock" option.

May I ask why it has to be a USA rom and not any other region version?

Because that is the rom the creator choose as the base. They usually pick the USA rom because they used ntsc format, which is a 60fps container, instead of pal's 50 fps container. Plus, most of the rom mod creators are from the USA.

In decompile projects they have been using difference in these versions to add more stuff to their projects. The more important thing is it is a way to avoid legal issues from big brother nintendo. 'see they sourced a rom that they owned'

Nintendo is quite known for hunting and shutting down fan projects, rom providers, modders, etc. but from what Ive heard the recompiler doesnt use any of the games assets since it only recompiles the game code and the rom isnt included so Nintenso cant just shut it down I think

The discord has good advice but as far as I know(could be wrong). The hoster gets the multiplayer version. Everyone else gets singleplayer version.

This is super sick. im a big fan of the Extended Options, which allow you to tune the emulator in game. Now to play this! Also the performance is really great so far too! It looks almost as good as the XBLA version so there must be lots of upscaling, I'm playing on 1440p monitor and its seriously nice

just tested it is the same install process. You just need to go into settings, general, then change analog camera from off to on. Hope this helps you can also use the decompile version, which is less taxing and has more options to explore. including tweaks to improve the experience video on the channel.

Very nice and useful video. This was the only guide that helped me to actually start the game. You also need to get the N64 file of the game (around 30-40MB) but that's available online on certain websites. The game runs amazing, but I think you still need a powerful CPU/GPU combo to fully enjoy. 😉

Try restarting your computer if that fails you can remove the selected rom by going to users/(your account)/appdata/local and deleting 'Zelda64Recompiled'. That is where the rom data is stored incase your rom is somehow the issue. Best of luck
