Jan Hammer

Jan Hammer

Hello, my name is Jan Hammer. A child of the Basque community in Boise, Idaho I have spend much of my working life in television. Though I love music I am not the Jan Hammer of Miami Vice fame. I do admire his work however. A wannabe guitar picker I once told a friend "I want to learn to play in the worst possible way". He replied "you already do". I am now retired and live wife in Grand Junction, Colorado, USA. Editors note: Many, if not most, of the descriptions or the songs and/or artists heard here are taken from Wikipedia.

I'm in my 60s, it was one of the first songs me & my Dad sang together, He had a Beautiful Italian Voice❤😊 I was 3 & he recorded us.❤ Carl Sprague first did this, I remember Woody Guthrie too.

I always laughed that his wife gave him a sandwich every day, rather than the nickel he needed. She kept him down there on purpose!

Loved this song ever since the first time I heard it as a kid... poignant sentiments increased with all life's love tribulations, esp when life herself throws at ya amazing significant loves that never ends, to know exactly who is our true love...for we'd only know for sure at the end of our lives.

Joni Mitchell is one of the best songwriters ever. The main reason why she doesn’t get mentioned as much as men is simply because she’s not a man & her lyrics are so moving. Incredible.

Al gran Julio Iglesias es prácticamente imposible imitarle el timbre de voz, pedazo de artista, punto aparte es ese cautivante y melódico coro de voces.

My late husband, rhodes reason, appeared in summer stock in the play. He was in his 20's. He thought that William Holden was too old for the part. I did not agree. Rhodes went on to Broadway to plsy Daddy Warbucks in Annie! William Holden was magnificent!
