Boy did I have a crush on Lani Hall back in the day. Very distinctive vocals--you heard her singing from any medium and instantly recognized it.

Apples and oranges, yes, Glen's version is the standard but Brasil 66's became a classic on its own. Both versions remarkable and timeless.

Apparently Anderson wrote this as the record company wanted a”hit”. Not a bad contribution when looking back. Unfortunately this clip looks like they are miming as they were also required to do on Top of the Pops way back in time. This was never acceptable in my opinion from a band who’s live offering was nothing less than sensational in the 60’s and 70’s. Saw them again last month in London for about the 30’th time and although it’s not the same it was they are still musically as tight as ever they were.

I love Christy Moore but he is regrettably gagged today. Happy to sing of the opression of our ancestors but devoid of notes in 2024. Sad but commonplace today. Without liathrothi.

Honestly, it does not get any better .I.M.H.O This is music at it very best, so simple with a catchy sing along with melody. Kiwi at it's very greatest. No skimpy clothing, loud music or flashy props . just talent, talent & more talent. Peggy Wood
