Looking at the date of posting, the most shocking realisation is 9 years ago we where still theorising Ruby and Sapphire as twins rather than a couple. Because untill Ruby and Sapphire, the idea of an a gay couple as prominent characters on an American kids show was honestly a pipedream. Like I remember how revolutionary Stronger Than You felt as a queer anthem. Hell I expected them to only appear once or twice again because I didn't think they'd be allowed to be present. SU did real change.
