  Honestly- when you said you started a sketchbook i was expecting the impeccable art i always see in sketchbook tours, and then i saw how excited you got to present your mistakes and it made me feel less bad about how terrible my own sketchbooks look. Like i KNOW i can do better but something in my brain expects me to get it perfect on paper as well, without the tools i'm used to digitally. And it really boosted my confidence❤ thank you for showing us your sketches💕

  Honestly, you openly talking about allowing yourself to make mistakes and just do what looks good has kinda helped me out in my art journey. I’m letting go of my more perfectionist side and it’s genuinely just making art fun again. I’m even using a sketchbook and drawing traditionally for the first time since high school! And it’s fun! Honestly, thanks for helping me get out of this rut, you’re a massive inspiration for me, especially with your newer style, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

  when I see someone draw so much I feel bad about myself, because I cant make myself draw that often, especially in sketchbooks, AND you make your sketchbook looks like its a freaking gallery, just cant wrap my head around all of this, you are too good.

  The thing to understand is I don’t treat it like a gallery! I’ve got years of experience so I do know some quick ways to make things look a little nicer on the page, but my focus is never on making things look pretty! It’s all about studying and experimenting, learning and applying the things I just practiced so I continue to improve c: Don’t worry about making sketchbooks pretty! It’ll come in its own time as long as you spend time on learning

  I’ve never understood people criticising artists for their style developing and changing over time I mean, I get that people may personally find an artist’s older or less developed style more aesthetically pleasing than the newer, more developed one that has emerged but that doesn’t mean you get to *criticise!!* Like, I personally find your older style’s shading to be rather aesthetically pleasing but I also know that your style has changed as you’ve truly come into your own. It’s been really fun and interesting watching you and your art style grow and evolve over time I just wish that everyone could see the value :T
