Great video as always!
What a wonderful video. Thank you !
@@stankulesza8107 thank you for watching!
I love that horn on that engine
Now I wonder how often I see that pair (when the trains from/to Sharon from Youngstown)... on plans on clipping anything to do with Elwood steel?
good video since I grew up in Sharon pa and know that yard really good
I got a cab ride in a CN FPA4 from Walkerville to Toronto , Ontario in about " 76 , we had a rolling meet outside London and it was sheer joy to experience . Both trains at track speed , snow flying and time for just one frame ..... It is probably my favorite cab ride EVER !! ALCO's RULE. Ok , MILW's .
Are these from the Napa Valley Wine Train ? Glad to see them saved , there was talk of simply scrapping them on site !
@@johnuhelski8613 These came from the Grand Canyon Railway.
the best thing about c.n is that they leave their old engines in the old lines colors and letting so they donot have to do a whole fleet paint job on units
great video on the old units and that swithers unit thanks
THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!!
The horn quills remind me of either B&P 458 or 455( can’t remember, might be both) older SD45 builds. The horn got bent by something and the crews never refitted her with a new one. Everytime she ran through town I could tell cause the horn sounded like a dying elk.
Imagine hearing that at 3 am and then nothing goes by 💀
is it the CSX Cleveland sub that the branch to Willow Connects to or is it some other CSX sub bc I do know that NS also interchanges with the CVSR somewhere
@@riverlinerailphotoproductions NS hasn’t interchanged with CVSR in quite a while considering it connects with CSX on one end and W&LE on the other. When NKP 765 used to come to the valley, it was on NS rails but then transferred to CSX to be interchanged to CVSR. And Im not sure the name on the line to Willow, but I guess it could be considered a branch of the Cleveland Sub.
@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 so apparently its called the Willow industrial track which is where the CSX cleveland sub begins
Excellent video really enjoyed watching your video keep up the great work thanks again and have a great day
What brand is that GEVO
Walthers Mainline
Any idea what will happen to these critters after they are retired?
@@trainchaserlouisvilleindia7096 They have been retired from freight service for almost a year now. The railroad currently uses them for their excursion trains regularly.
@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 well that’s nice to know they are still used and not sitting and rotten away!
It’s always cool to see the Buffalo sub get some attention. I live and work right next to the Salamanca station. My dad and grandpa also worked out of there as dispatcher and conductor
You can tell that those Dash 9’s came from BNSF because they are wearing the BNSF’s H2 paint scheme but they look great👍
I have not seen a FPB-4 in ages. I recall them on CN and CPR/CP rail and VIA Rail. Wow.
That first train was the "devils train" engine 6666😂😂😂😂😂
Nice to see that those FPA4s are being preserved. I remember watching them pull VIA passenger trains in the 1980s. Nothing like a set in A-B-A formation pulling hard on a long passenger train, with black smoke at the stack and the ALCo designed prime movers giving their all to get to the 79 mph track speed.
Awesome video nice 💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂
I grew up just east of State Road (RT 94) west of Broadview rd. and just north of the east west main of what is now CSX ( formerly NYC, formerly Big 4) in the 1950's and 60's. I played on and around those tracks as a kid. I haven't lived in Cleveland for 46 years now, and don't remember much of where you filmed (Parma Yard) In my day that would have been C&O trackage. Thanks for some great shots. I wonder, was the ethanol train on that east west line? I was a bit surprised by a dear being in that area.
@@robertweldon7909 Thank you for sharing! And yes the ethanol train was on the east/west line.
Does this mean that G-type signals on the Greenwich Sub are the next project after replacing everything on the CLE shortline?
@@MP_67_Productions To that, I don’t know. There’s been rumors about that for a long time, but I guess we’ll see
Any idea on Age of the B&O Signals like the Color Position one?
@@doublediamondrailroad5949 I believe the ones shown in the video were installed in the 50s? I will have to double check but I believe around then.
Fantatic Fantatic my friends excellent Like 👍🏻 Greeting from Argentina nuevo subcritor suscribete 😊
Nice, I like watching the local operations and short trains. Getting ready to start my first layout. Want to keep it small and local in nature.
@@monmixer I love smaller local operations as well. I hope the layout building goes well! That’s always a fun process.
Them rails look whooped. All wavy and squiggly. No wonder NS has so many "incidents"
You can stop worrying about the squiggly rails. Bidens 2023 infrastructure plan has those tracks slated to be replaced .
I guess that's still good (PTC) if it's placed on that sector (It means the customers expect to remain dependent on rail)... but I'm confused. I thought PTC was used on main lines (Class-1) only? Some of those rails, I walked from point A to point B, when I was younger and more foolish (and gogglemaps wasn't much a thing yet)...
PTC is used on Class 1 mainlines yes. But recently a lot of Class 1s have been equipping some of their smaller lines with PTC if they see it fitting and worth it. In the example of the video, CSX has been installing PTC on their Cleveland Subdivision because they suspect an increase in traffic levels for Clark Avenue Yard. While it is not a mainline, it still is a branch line with a lot of potential.
great chase😃
Great job as always bud!
Nice! I actually saw 6773 and 6871 on an EB BNSF manifest on 6/5, it was crazy
What a GREAT video ! ! i have been down at the 13th ST. diamond down at Clark AVe yard BUT never can get them at the right time ? what days and times do they come into Clark AVE yard ? LOVE your channel !
@@B83024 Thank you for the kind words! Most recently Norfolk Southern has been leaving Campbell yard around 10am, with CSX getting there around 11. When NS returns and when CSX leaves is all dependent on how much work the train has on a given day. Hope this helps.
@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 yes it did ! thanks and PLEASE keep those COOL videos coming !
@@B83024 That’s the plan!
Since CVSR has 3 FPA-4’s, will these “new” ones be used in active service or as part sources?
@@allohiorailfan6123 the plan is for 6773 (the new arrival) to be placed into service. I’m not sure about the accompanying B unit.
Ok, I’ve heard CVSR has been struggling financially and I’m not sure buying new locomotives is the smartest option unless they’re replacing old ones. I would imagine the B-unit would be used as a parts source or a generator car.
@@allohiorailfan6123 They’re doing alright financially. 4241, 1822, and 182 have been sold to LTEX and were sent out a while ago.
Alright, putting the puzzle pieces together. Makes sense now.
@@allohiorailfan6123 I would have much depression if CVRS folded: It would be 105% certain that the rail would be pulled not long after that...

Nice stuff!
I know it's been a full year since this video came out and since I last commented. But here's a little update on what's happening on the Youngstown Southeastern. As of right now they have put in more tracks in Gateway yard for storage of the shell petroleum hoppers. So I wouldn't advise going back down to Gateway with how much activity that's been going on lately
nice seeing these guys run after seeing some of them get built^^
