Omg!!! That happened to me but they didn’t suspend me.. they said show a receipt really I bought it at a yard sale.. so they asked me to delete REALLY and it was just a Gap pair of jeans with a black sharpie marked through the tag cuz apparently someone bought it on markdown 🤦🏽♀️ they said I wasn’t selling a legit Gap pants are you for real? So I took them down went on the posh started selling there and guess what my gap jeans sold on posh so I took it as the sign and I’ve been doing really well on there ever since I do post some on Depop but mostly vintage T-shirts so that’s that. Hope they reinstate you quickly.🙏🏼

I also have been on Depop since 2017 but didn’t really start selling until 2020 and since then they keep changing everything on the daily it seems. Loved it in the good ole Days when a single post would be on the feed and now they have Multiple pics. But I was considering leaving on my own just last week like I’ve outgrown it and this is just confirmation. It’s so weird mama cuz I have a CD vintage prairie nightgown that I was gonna to post literally need to press post just needed to add measurements but with this happening to you now I know that I will not be doing it. Not to sound conspiracy-ie but maybe someone reprted the ittem as stolem through Depop? So that's why they asking for proof of purchase? It's really weird that a RESELLING app that knows its market and knows how many people resell from thiftstores ask for something so specific and for most cases, imposible to provide. Gurl they did me dirty too! I was doing good. I was even a featured seller! When I tried to log in. No luck. Just a message saying I violated their terms! No other explanation. I strongly recommend you cross list in other platforms. It will bring in more revenue for your business as well. Don’t sell yourself short. You do too much work to depend only on one site. And if you do have your items listed on other sites already good for you! Like I said you work too hard to depend on one site! Tyfs❤

@@FunkyKoolThreadsMercari is a great option! eBay is great for vintage, because people on eBay aren’t low ballers. They’ll pay up for vintage, specially designer brands. Poshmark users will too, a little slow for me, but every sales helps. Vinted was great until they upped their postage. But a lot of Depop users use Vinted as well. Vinted doesn’t have seller fees. Ty for replying and wishing you the best!

Depop is shady as heckkk! I noticed a couple months ago that sellers were being charged shipping regardless of the settings and they tried to claim it was my issue on my end. I took that and decided to remove everything off of the platform. I didn’t even sell to the extent of some sellers like yourself and I cannot imagine the lost revenue for those who may not have caught Depop doing that! Absolutely there are awful sellers still on the platform 😢. eBay should create a clothing only platform!

I can't believe that happened to you! Especially as a seller with a good record, 5 star reviews, consistent listing and being so active on the app. To me that sounds like Depop didn't even look into it before making their decision and saying you're trying to scam people. To my knowledge, Depop does not authenticate designer items, they place that burden on the sellers themselves (according to the 'Depop Seller Guidelines' on their website: "To double-check if items are authentic, try using online authenticity checkers") so them asking you for a receipt from Dior to try and authenticate your item is ridiculous. I'm scared to list anything designer now. I'm also pissed about Depop offering AI to write your product description for you! Talk about scammers... that feature makes it so easy for them bc they don't even have to make something up! How many sellers are using that and not even reading it? How am I supposed to know if any description is accurate? Crazy...
