  @@ep3389 No I haven’t. But that’s also why I practice a ton and make sure my bow is completely tuned and build my arrows perfect. I know things can happen, but I’ve seen fixed heads that perform awful too. I believe bowmar has a video explaining how he had no issues with them when encountering bone.

  @Foreverbowhunting84 yeah I'd rather be able to make sure I can get through the shoulder. I don't have a ton of opportunities so I don't want to sacrifice a quartering to shot because I'm unsure of my equipments capabilities. I use iron will single bevels and it blasted through the ball joint on a big whitetail at 35 yards. I like the big cut but all the best most humane stuff to hit is tucked right next to the shoulder.

  @@ep3389 Yeah. It’s all personal preference at the end of the day. I tried and tested the heavy arrow thing in the past… I seen no difference. I am a 30.5 draw shooting 70-72 pounds I don’t worry about that kind of stuff. I’ve harvested a bunch of deer with the megameats, grim reapers and some fixed heads. I never had any issues with mechanicals.

  Awesome video man full of a lot of useful information! I switched to a thumb probably 8 years ago and I haven’t looked back! I actually used the Carter wise choice for many years and loved it! I now use a Stan Onnex heavy metal and absolutely love it! It has definitely made me a better archer and has improved my groups and repeatability greatly

  Another down side is you can’t take the head apart to sharpen or replace the blades. I used they but not worth the price for a one time use

  I believe in having firearms for home protection. But when you hunt you should have to do it hand-to-hand combat style or at the very least make your weapon with your own hands
