@@PlumQuickRacing so I wouldn't need lithium? I could use 12v deep cycles instead? And just get the 72v solenoid instead of the 48v? And also why doesn't everybody just get the 72v if you can just put 6 12v deep cycle lead acid batteries for like 40-50mph over doing the 48v which is 35mph? All the difference is, is the solenoid is 72v and u got 12v batteries, right? Or is there a downfall to having 72v on this system? Because I believe this same system you installed is good for 72v also.

I would have liked to know what is actually done for $250 dollars.... Thanks for the Video...

When you do any up grade like this the next thing that crops up is the next "Limiting Factor " which I would suspect would be the brakes . Not really knowing about golf cart brakes does the electric motor provide "Dynamic Braking" to stop the cart ?

I went to your web site and read your literature about upgrading to one your motors . It mentions upgrading the controller to handle the increased current demands but to my surprise it makes no mention of upgrading the cart brakes to handle the increased stopping distance that will occur with the increased operating speeds . This seems kind of irresponsible not to include a warning about an upgrade to the brake system along with this motor upgrade on non sepex carts . Am I missing something ?

I recently mounted up your Grizzly motor in my 97' Club Car DS. I found it to be a tight fit. It looks like the shock is going to rub. I'm thinking about relocating the shock mounts or trying to slide the axle forward on the leaf spring by a half inch. Not sure if the latter is even possible but I'll try that first. Although, it can't go forward too far, or it'll be into the frame. I bought the cart used and it seems to have been pieced together with different parts so I'm thinking someone had maybe adjusted the rearend at some point and maybe didn't get it set just right. If you have any best bets for me, please share, but I'm confident I'll figure something out. I'm really happy with the looks of the motor and really excited to see how it performs. I'm in the process rebuilding the aluminum battery tray from acid damage. Planning to buy a 48V NMC kit from BigBattery. I'm going NMC because I don't want to have to keep it heated when charging as I would if I went Lifepo4. A concern of mine was the lower voltage of their NMC batteries. Thats only slightly less than a typical FLA set at 51.2. Any reason to be concerned? I couldn't find a spec sheet on the Grizzly motor with operating parameters but I'm betting 50.4V will be fine for it.

I have an early ‘70’s Harley electric golf cart and two questions: first, there are five or six electrical devices in a row behind the seat battery bank. I believe that these are “solenoids”. I want to replace them because of age. What new components replace these silver small canisters. The second question is the motor configuration. The back of the motor bolts directly on the differential. The other end has the disc brake assembly bolted directly to the motor with the disc connected to the armature drive shaft. Can plumb quick provide a new motor or do they rebuild the old motor?
