  This is the one character that I think actually will run Thermal Blast. You're already racing to 9 foundations before you ever want to play an attack anyway, and the blitz just ensures that he will have plenty of targets. If you can't block it it's just a free win at that point, but it's not even necessary.

  Sounds like the counter to this character is simply to hard cap at 8 foundations in any game, whether or not that is a good counter or not is another question.

  @UKVersus the real spice from hand though in magic Christmas land is what i put earlier but instead of titan as the first card from hand you play smashing stomp and godzillas momentum out and now it's on a 10 which is now an 8 with plus 5 to the check you can't fail it lmao

  Australia is huge land area wise, but population is relatively low. A singular state in the US has more people than Australia. And Europe as a whole has like 40x more people.

  Are you sure it doesn't build down after used as a block its a response ability that says this card I would have thought it would work that way the armored says after you block so you get it right then and there but maybe I'm wrong

  @@fuzzxi6139 armoured Titan Builds after you block, Small Builds end if turn after u block and the Shift Keyword says during "Your end step" so would build if u blocked a reversal I guess

  Since the closest comparison we have is MTG, and since bill is an MTG fan: 'Double faced cards' will have 3 states. The Front. The Back. and Transformed (subject to rules committee verbiage). If you flip a card with shift in your card pool, that will then show it's 'back-side' not its 'transform-side'. if a shift attack gets built from say the top of your deck (or an overhaul enhance for example), that won't transform it. Easiest way to think about it is "flipping cards doesn't take them out of the sleave, shifting them does". Again, that would be my assumption on the ruling, otherwise... start gambling everyone!

  @MattIsAMage I get that bit once it's in the Stage but if a Shift Attack is flipped with Condescending Explanation does it still Shift as it says this card similar to Crow and Frog not counting yo progressive when flipped

  @@UKVersus I'd assume that since the Card is face down, the ability is not active while it's being cleared from the card pool since it's an ability checking "when its cleared (if its been played)", rather than "after its played (when its cleared)". ofc FAQ on the ability will clear things up, but I'd be somewhat confident that's how it shakes out

  I really dont like planeswalkers-esque design mechanics. But, this seems more reasonable than planeswalkers in terms of power. I do hope higher rarity backups aren't op

  if attacking backups do trigger these style of effects. new players will be turned off from the game because they 'got got' in a way that offers "just don't do it next time" as the counter play. Which is feel bad's, but maybe new players are more resiliant and smarter than i give them credit

  frankly those are common, so thing could change when a rare or UR come out, but with those ability and difficulty I would put a foundation or asset over those two, there is literally no reason to put those in a deck. This seem like a really complicated new mechanic for a game saying they want to lower the mental load.

  What even is symbol identity? I thought everyone just picked a character they liked, saw a few cards like an attack they like on a symbol then just build it on that symbol. Litterally had no idea symbols meant anything. AoT looks so trash. Hope the game survives through it, looks impossible for new players to pick up now, so many extra rules and nonsense. Good coverage vid though bro!

  I agree that if they wanted to do 6 symbol splits maybe do two smaller sets with 6 symbols each. You made e a lot of good points and while I too don’t like this idea, I love the game too much to not be cautiously optimistic. Also don’t worry about Hood, he has those Infinity symbol Titan cards to throw 13 damage on things lol

  @@UKVersus absolutely. I’m an older player, so I’ve seen the game through some wild changes, I’ve always tried to give the benefit of the doubt and voice criticism in a constructive manner. I too have been disheartened by the chaos online and doom saying but as a community leader of sorts I am gonna keep calm and carry on. I’ve worked too hard otherwise.

  Attune is definately a step down from "the infinity symbol" (in a good way!), and Personally I feel it's best Suited on tool box style cards. EG, Faith Shield as Attune [Life], would be awesome. Also: this makes Drafting Sooooo much easier! since Attune cards can be more specific in identity, while still being generic in their symbol. Where I am worried with this design is: "you need to run this UR attune card, or your deck is not competitive", because so many more decks can use them, the demand will be wider, and prices will go up. But that depends on what cards have attune or not. on rares and lower? should be fine by me. time till tell how the designers use this power!

  @@UKVersus and now if battle aura release was say instead "water attune". It's not just water decks that need it, it's every water Characters that need it. But maybe there's no difference if every atune card is locked on one symbol. Again, just depends what cards get this typing

  Very Awesome to get content from a creator first (to my knowledge!) For blitz itself: its a cleaner way to say "Response: at the start of the Enhance step X" (assuming that would work in the rules), so its at a speed where giving it Flash would be a negative (cough - cheer leader - cough). its a pretty standard window, any card can use it with any ability so its very very flexible (and so is the name). I'm not exactly sold on another keyword for "mental load" on newer players, but its simple and saves card text. good mechanic, if people like it or not will depend on the individual cards that get it. Good job team!

  Wording it as response makes it optional. The wording on Blitz makes it sound like it happens regardless of if the player wants to.
