Most of my early video was taken with an aging Panasonic camcorder (of 2002 vintage) and I edited that stuff with Microsoft Movie-maker. Despite these limitations, the results aren't too bad (I think).
More recently I've switched to a Sony PJ760VE HD camcorder with "super steady shot" and that's made a huge difference to the quality of the videos. I'm also editing with Sony Movie Studio and that also helps.
I'm no expert videographer but if you have any questions about my videos, just ask and I'll try to answer them.

Other than the rules not categorising your glider. Has anyone actually had a problem with you flying it yet alone told you it's against the rules ???? On the flip side I can logically and convincingly argue it us in fact electrically powered as you use batteries to move control surfaces in order to align the wings to provide the motive force. With a traditional motor it's like a servo moving prop just faster

I do wonder what a drone could see that satellites. Just look at publicly available Google earth imagery. I am sure governments have better imagery than that.

Hey Kiaora Bruce, I have been flying Drones since they first came out, also an ex RC Heli pilot AND and Recreational Pilot as well. I think you might be interested to read an OIA I did to CAA and the response I got which you might find very very interesting. I, like you dont take nonsense from the council as I think their rules are ridiculous and to me as long as I fly safe and within the rules I basically fly where I like even on council property including but not limited to private property. Now to put that into context I live on the coast in Whangarei so I do a lot of flying out here but in a suburban situation I WOULD get permission to fly over private property if required or depending on circumstances BUT you will also find on my channel many situations where I have flown over and around Parliament building and over and around the Marsden Point Oil Refinery WITH land owners permission being the local IWI or HAPU. Anyway I will send you a copy of the OIA I did, have a good read.

Just getting back into the hobby after about 30 years. I just spent over $1200 on Amazon for a plane radio, and batteries. The funny thing is; not one of these listings said anything about the FAA, or the ama. It's sad that now I have all of these roadblocks put in place that a man can't take his grandchildren out and teach them the wonders of modern day aviation. I got reacquainted with the local flying club, they still, 30 years later have about 30 members, and are dying off quicker than they acquire new members, sad, and unfortunately I won't rejoin the group with all of this government overreach. I have a big farm field down the street from my house in the middle of no where where I fly. I dont care for remote id whos gonna show up to ticket me for flying over a farm field without a id signal. I dont care.
The US wants DJI's code for use in militarty drones (because DJI has code superior to any other). They've tried to bully the company into handing over their code (even using a third party company which manufactures military drones to take DJI to court). DJI, rightly refused to give in. This ban is revenge for daring to stand up to extortion and bullying!!!

Hi Bruce, it is not just about the hobby. We are al being caged. Al over the world. Now there is bird fly just like they tried covid. Ww3 in Ukraine etc. Cloud seeding (chem trails) messing with our food etc. We al need to stand up for all our right. Not just this hobby stuff, all the rights that are slowly taken away.

The problem is hobbyists don't support each other the government has divided and conquered. RC aircraft operators dont care about 4x4 drivers who dont care about firearms who dont care about sky divers who dont care about motorcyclists who dont care about bow hunters and the list goes on. To get a voice we need to support each other because it is us against them, they ban everything separately because mushroom foragers and firearms hobbyists dont support drone operators. We need to start seeing all of us as recreational hobbyists regardless of what spectrum. It then becomes all of us against them, even if you dont like another hobby support it before the government starts attacking yours.

Not defending anyone but the fact that you have to "activate" a DJI action camera with an app that is banned from playstore before you can use it is a bit scary if you ask me, there is no reason what so ever to require "activation" of a camera besides colleting user data, if I would have known that (yes my fault, I should have checked) I would never bought my action 4 camera even if it is good, at least I can delete the app when the camera is up and running.
