I have been safely flying my RC planes and drones over the past month or so and here's just a snippet of the hundreds of GB of footage I now have to edit up into something I hope you'll find entertaining and inspiring. I also have another go at auditing and fail again.
KZread's content-ID system is F'd. It keeps flagging the music that I have paid to *LEGITIMATELY LICENSE* from Audiio.com. As a result, the algorithm will not promote this video and I expect it to get very few views.
Keep an eye out, I *WILL* be self-hosting my content soon, KZread is effectively making this a necessity now.

Welcome to the Dark Side, Bruce. I've been ducking the Park Rangers while flying my 1.5m Maule in my town for months. Supposedly, I'm in a no fly zone for miles and miles. No citations, yet. Some nice conversations with reasonable Rangers... Some not so nice. But, as long as I'm not the A-hole, no one really seems to mind me flying where i fly. I'm as responsible as i can be, while not complying with unreasonable over-regulation. It's a little added excitement to already exhilarating experience. If flying a foam beer cooler lid in the shape of an airplane is wrong, then i dont wanna be right. 👍

Don't you ever stop your whoop with your chest or even your head? I enjoy arresting the flight of my Nano Goblin in that manor...Ok once I forgot what colored shirt I was wearing an almost used a fellow pilot as an arrest device. A strange out of body moment. "No one was harmed in that or any other incident." ...ok once I got my finger traumatized by my 5 inch quad as I stupidly reached down to press it against the ground. It opposed that action vigorously against two of my fingers. They still function wonderfully. Thank you.

Wow... i can't believe this high-quality video is coming from a tiny drone camera!! I always thought video like this come from a 10,000$ camera set and a a expensive drone to carry it

Well the camera on the drone is a $49 unit (Runcam Thumb) and the drone weighs less than 250g.

It hasn't felt like summer in the mornings recently -- temps around 5 to 8 degrees C, very chilly. It's decidedly autumnal already in this part of the world. I guess we've had our few weeks of *real* summer :-/

@@EnglishTurbines It's pretty much the same here. It's not uncommon for us to set a fire in the evening during December (our equivalent of June in the Southern Hemisphere) and I'll be filling the woodshed in the next few weeks in anticipation of relighting the fire next month.

You sir, have nailed it. Who is better equipped to come up with *effective* ways to ensure safety without unreasonably restricting freedoms? Those who never do this stuff or those who are actively involved in the hobby? I think anyone with an ounce of intelligence can work out the answer to that -- complete idiots may disagree :-)

In this months BMFA magazine it says and I quote "I don't need to follow the rules in my own back garden as its my airspace." the answer was "Believe it or not you don't own or have any control really over the airspace above your own property, ALL private airspace comes under the same regulations set out by the CAA in the Air Navigation Orders." Does this mean you can claim rent from the CAA for aispace over you property??. LOL

All I see is someone enjoying the hobby as we used to before the CAA got overzealous. The fact he's an "outlaw" for safely operating a tiny multirotor tells you everything you need to know about the overreach of the regulator.
