Loved this! I was at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra FF Rebirth concert when this was airing, LOVED the experience so much as always. FF15-16 are next to be live... so I need to play those, huh? I didn't know Josh before this, so it's awesome I know him now. Super thoughtful videos. I'd love to talk games with you guys but I really have no audience to offer lol. Maybe one day, but keep these GTKG videos going, I liked them back then too. As for GTA-- the PS2 generation is hella dated, but that doesn't mean they're bad. I've just found that playing them now without friends surrounding you rings hollow. I prefer going back to the story of GTA4 and the DLC stories that genuinely feel heavy at times. Fallout games are on my list of need to plays. I've always been impressed by Vegas specifically.

Thanks for the fun discussion. I know Limited Run is specifically targeting remaking expensive retro games with the carbon engine. I appreciate them for that. It does seem to be becoming more of a thing. Retro-bit is doing amazing rereleasing expensive games too.

Thanks so much. My birthday is actually August 23rd But we couldn't get the switch video out in time so we put this one out. Looks like I have a few more days to be 34 LOL So happy you don't see those Alice figures around there because if you would have told me you only have those all the time for 50 bucks I would have cried lol 🤣

Josh is one of the best for sure. Just a stellar guy and we had planned to do this well over a year ago and life just kept getting in the way. We knew he had to be the first one when we brought it back.

That's the thing that bothers me the most about doing these at 8:00 p.m. Eastern standard Time is because I know it's really hard for anyone across the big blue ocean to view it at a reasonable time. Josh is one of the best hands down!
Atari was the 1st console I had played when I was a kid. Then like Josh when I went to play Super Mario Bros for Nes, I was just blown away on how The game was really ahead of it's time. Finally a game that had a start & ending. Super Mario World is my fav Mario game. You'd be surprised on how many people don't know where the flute locations are. The Nes American version of Super Mario 3 is the easiest. You can swim under the ship & jump on the broken brick. In the Japanese version & the All Stars version if you swim under the water you can't jump back onto the ship because the brick is there. This is World 8. It's one of the ship levels where you can swim under. Golden Eye for the N64, I used to love that game a lot. I beat all the times required for every level, got all the cheats by doing that & basically 100% the game. Beat it on Hard as well. You get different missions to do on the harder levels. Now that I replayed it, I just beat the game on easy because it wasn't fun anymore. I've never seen the Wizard until I was an adult. Again you are talking 90's here where info on stuff was terrible compared to the internet age of now.

So here’s something that may surprise you! I was born a day before the OG XBOX came out! I remember my mom was telling my that my aunt was trying to order that along with the GameCube (which came out 4 days before I was born!) For her boyfriend. (They try to get it through a sears Christmas catalogue) My mom told me that after I was born she wanted to go see the movie Harry Potter and the sorcerer’s stone! My favorite games for the launch are DOA3 HALO CEL DAMAGE oddworld Munich’s Oddysee fusion frenzy and project Gotham racing Also mad dash racing is pretty good too!

@@RetroRivals Actually I grew up with the PS2 GBA and GameCube! I got my hands on a Xbox around 2012 after surgery and I wanted to get the games that aren’t compatible with the 360! It wasn’t until 2016 where I REALLY started to appreciate the console a whole lot more!!! And it was surprising to know that the console along with the GameCube and movies like Harry Potter lord of the rings monsters inc. and that one jimmy neutron movie came out around the same time!

There's nothing to be ashamed about being in our 40s, we're all young at heart! Nice pickups and an amazing gift! Regarding GTA, I would recommend any one of them, but I would say to start with the one that is most relatable to you. If you like any type of mafia movies, 80s vibe, Vice City is the one to go (and still my favorite)! If you like gangster and hip hop / rap scene of the 90s, then San Andreas is your pick! If you want a modern one, then 5 is your choice! But they're all good! Funny enough, I also bought the Triple Pack and just received it! Evoland looks awesome, so I've just added it on my wishlist! And that birthday gift was so amazing! Now, if you're missing one in the set, you've got to get them all, lol! Great video and keep up the good work!

Still play 3DS,PSP and PS1...these system had GAMES,not half finished,money sponges that you have to be online all the time just to play.
@@mikeburkhart8336 That's so very true! Well, I don't play my PSP nearly as much as I should. I loved playing shattered memories on it this year even though I also have it on the Wii. The 3DS always gets lots of love from me as well. Just the Castlevania games alone are worth the price of admission. That being said, I went down a horror rabbit hole and while there's not many, I got everyone I could find between the DS and 3DS.

I always wanted a gameroom and once I bought a house with my girlfriend and I was going to make it I realized what a waste of time and money it is and I decided to study stocks and bonds and get a Roth IRA account and invest for the future. I guess that is what when use to do in the old days
That's too bad you decided against doing your game room. I think we all deserve a little joy in our lives and for us it makes us happy and it's a space we share with family and friends. We've had so many great times and memories because of it. At the end of the day you can have all the money in the world that you want but you can't take it with you 🤷🏼♀️

We are lucky to make $100 a month on KZread 😂 We don't have a patreon, we don't have super chats turned on. 99% of the time we don't ask people to subscribe on our video. We enjoy what we have and eventually it'll get passed down to our son. We had all the toys and comic and some of the games well before we started KZread. We've NEVER bought any of this stuff to do KZread. It started with my husband wanting to recollect and share this with our son. @@jensenandthepuppetshow8143 yeah, I realize a lot of people probably think cartridge has more to do with retro. Typically we tend to go with a 20-year mark and PS1 compared to anything today to us at least is retro. Hope that makes sense

I have not played any of the handheld Metroid games. Metroid Dread was a lot of fun. Physical media winning over hearts. Generation Pixel is definitely a scaredy cat. 4 hours a day gaming!!!! If I get 4 hours every 2 weeks I am lucky. The graphics evolve too!!! That is amazing. I do generally stick to the same console for a game series. Such cool figures. Nice new games n stuff!
