I remember visiting Beatrice's tomb in Florence and I authomatically had to put my headphones on with this music to show my respect. It was like transporting yourself to another era. Need to go to Ravena ( Dante's Tomb ) and do the same.

When I first heard this song, I was unaware of the film Hannibal. I never watch horror movies. but I decided to watch the film because of this beautiful song.

I've listened to this song since its release... and since then I've always hoped for other arias from La Vita Nuova. This is one of my favourite songs ever!

I haven't seen the film Hannibal, but I can say with certainty: what a privilege this film has to have you as the composer of this musical masterpiece. I must someday meet you and have a great conversation about beauty; because it is universal!

Vide Cor Meum teaches a powerful man humility, before God, that secular power, is swift and sudden, and the holder of which, must wield it with care and fear in God. We are all but dust. But the will of God may momentarily be realized by any of us - from the highest to lowest

A very good friend of mine went to see a recent performance of this in a LA church. Got a picture with Patrick and all! He sent it to me immediately with a video of the performance. It's a very special piece to both of us. A very long story but we both hold it very dear. So when he got to meet Patrick and see it live it was so wonderful to get it on video. Patrick if you're reading it, his name is Karl. He's Irish, as am I. You may remember him. He told me you hike the same trail.

What a Great Art !! 😍🫶 These words are written by Dante in XIII century, and the music and arrangement composed by Patrick Cassidy in 2001, so You ;-) yes ? It's also the part of "Hannibal" and "Kingdom of Heaven" soundtracks. I love it 💓 Pozdrawiam z Polski ! 🙂
