Interesting. I wonder if this can be , or is applied to voice? Japanese Enka and Portuguese Fado both employ vibrato.

Thank you very much for your impulsive talk in the film "I know that I play every note" about how to handle the violin and also have fun while playing. That helped me a lot and significantly improved my violin playing and especially the control of the bow.

What if my bow constantly shifts and moves around in my finger and it feels kinda loose or almost hard to control? Could anyone help 😭🙏

MR. PERLMAN,HONOUR TO MEET YOU AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR TUTORIALS. I WAS TAUGHT THAT VIBRATO WAS GENERALY OVERDONE. NEVER TO USE VIBRATO UNLESS YOU NEEDED TO EXPRESS SOMETHING IT WAS INTRODUCED TO ME LATE IN MY FIRST YEAR AND SOMETHING ABOUT A BANDAID ON THE THUMB OF LEFT HAND TO REMIND YOU NOT TO STRANGLE THE NECK. THE BEST TRICK I KNOW OF IS TO PLACE AN ARTGUM ERASER IN THE CROTCH OF THUMB OF LEFT HAND AND THIS IN TURN SEPARATES V OF THUMB FROM BEING TOO DEEP INTO VIOLIN NECK. THE OTHER IS HINGE LEFT PALM TO RT. UPPER BOUT OF VIOLIN TOP PLATE. I HOPE IM ON COURSE AS I AM TEACHING MYSELF FROM VIDIOS OVER U TUBE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SHARING OF YOUR EXPERTISE. I did too. I bought a little plastic device that goes over the end of my bow, has a place for my pinkie. It works! Try the music companies like Sam Ash Music or Sweetwater or Elderly music. 🎼

It is so good to see how music actually rejuvenates/maintain people not aging, looking way younger than the actual age, I mean, this video is from 11 years ago, and Perlman looks the same. Also the fact that he aged soo slowly over the years... Lolll and still u see so many people wasting thousands to millions of dollars to look younger, when music does that by free...
