    My PL-5 turntable is now fixed thanks to your video and some Deoxit D5 sprayed in the pitch control pot. It means a lot to me because I got this turntable as a high school graduation gift in 1982 from my parents. Now all these years later, its running pitch perfect and I am passing it down to my son, who just graduated from law school and thinks it's cool. Thanks Jim!

    I am thinking that mounting on the side of the house in shade if possible, would help with connectivity to the phone app. Inside the metal of the air conditioner has to reduce signal...just thinking out loud.

    Found PL-7 at garage sale for $5. I find this video after struggling getting the turntable seperated ugh..... 3 out of 4 buttons didn't work... the stop start spring piece was broke so bent some excess wire out from it and got it functioning.... speeds and repeat doesn't change hitting buttons - thats next project.... putting it back together to test is annoying though ...

    Question for you. I installed my Micro Air Soft Start on my 5 ton about 3 weeks ago. The 5 ton unit is less than 3 years old so it's fairly new. In the heat of the day, I get a "Over Current" fault. It'll be 93+ degrees out when I get that fault. Micro Air says it may be a weak run capacitor...... But I doubt it being so new. They also tell me to have the soft starter to relearn in the heat of the day. That hasn't solved it. Have you ever experienced this with your unit?

    Thank you very much! Your video encouraged me to (finaly) put in order the servo of my 40+ years old PL-320. Same problem, same solution. Most of the instructions fit PL-320 at 100%! Some of my friends will also be grateful because I need PL-320 to digitalise some vinyl records of their youth. As PL-320 seems to be mechanicaly simpler than PL-7 (less buttons), I neglected your instructions to properly set the arm moving mechanism. So, right now, my PL-320 preforms the arm retract but does not switch off. In fact it does, but than it switches on again... So, I'll have to redo the exercise.

    Got it by myself! In fact it is simple: with power off you perform a manually driven retract until final stage, when the handle lands on the hook. I have the Trane XLi18 4TWX8 which looks very similar to yours. When I looked at the Trane electrical one-line it shows a variable speed fan, so the 240V is directly connected to the fan and then turned on by control wires. I am assuming yours is the same and doesn't cause a problem with switching on the fan first? I sent an email to Micro-Air and they said it shouldn't be an issue. But wanted to ask someone who might have installed it on the same type of CU.

  • @litzdog911

    Yours is different. My A/C does not have a variable speed fan. It seems that there are several version of this A/C. But they're right, it should still work fine. The EasyStart helps with the compressor and doesn't do anything for the fan.

    Very good video. Did you happen to check the amps on the Fan? I am curious to know what the fan amps are initially to allow deducting the fan amps from the Total amps prior to installing the Easy Start. That would provide the amps initially by the compressor to allow knowing what the Easy Start is doing with the compressor after installation. I am considering a similar installation for my Trane outdoor unit with Easy Start 368 Blue unit. Did you contact Trane and ask about using the Easy Start ? I want to know what they said if you did. • @litzdog911
    @litzdog9112 ай бұрын

    Not sure what you mean by a "wand type AC voltage detector". To test the switch you need an ohmmeter to see if the switch opens and closes properly. If the new switch tests out OK, then it's likely a control board problem.

    @@ddgardner5671 That's very puzzling. I doubt that the freezer would operate at all without its control board. The fact that it worked for a few days and started again suggests a defective switch or control board. That can happen.

    I really need some help with my DiecTV Dish. I have the older SD Dish and not the HiDefinition. I want to install it on a taller pole, because for three years, I’ve been getting letters some DIRECTV claiming that the satellite dish I am using is going to be obsolete because they have a 17-year-old satellite that’s going out. They want to install it on my roof through my shingles and all and I don’t want to do that. One of the problems I’m having is with trees and possible location of where to install a pole. The only reason why I had DIRECTV primarily was for the NFL SundayTicket, however, as some may know if not all, DIRECTV has lost it contract with the NFL to sell the programming. Can anyone give me any advice on how they would install the newer wider style type of DIRECTV satellite dish, or would you just simply go with a company like spectrum or AT&T on a wired line? Thank you very much for any advice or input

  • @litzdog911
    @litzdog9113 ай бұрын

    The Slimline HD dish doesn't require much more sky view than your old SD-only dish. The required satellites are very close together in the sky. If you don't want the dish installed on your roof they should be able to find a suitable location for a mount your siding or a pole in the ground. The nice thing is that the HD swap won't cost you anything, unless you upgrade other services. You'll get more answers if you post in the DirecTV support forum.

    Hey thanks for this video. I just put my DA4ES back in service this weekend and was disappointed to find the left side surround channel was dead. :( I have the service manual and it looked like IC701, the power amp for the left side surround would be the culprit. After seeing how simple it is to remove the A-Class board in your video, I disassembled my entire setup and pulled the board. No obvious solder defects, even under a microscope, but I re-flowed all the joints anyway. Knowing that servicing that board would be a cinch pushed me over the top to just get it done, and it worked!
