I have several bristlenose plecos in my pond. Bristlenose not common, that is a bristlenose they don't get big. my pond is heated to aboit 77f. I take them out through the winter tho. . never had a problem with them even had them breeding in there but I'd take the eggs out to prevent the koi eating them. Great idea tho
Keen to see an update!
Where did you even get 1,000 koi from that’s awesome
Cuttlebrook koi farm
It looked like the first netful Had a hi utsuri with a badly damaged fin.
Yh I noticed that as well it’s doing well now though

@@UkKoiFish 😭 I wish I was rich.
Nice Koi You Have … 😅
Thank you
I have a 300-gallon tank through which I have a constant flow of fresh water flowing around the clock, and I currently have 17 Koi all about four inches in length. The tank measures 7 feet long by 3 feet 6 inches deep by 3 feet wide, and the inflow of water drops 5 feet from an overhead pipe to aerate it before it reaches the aquarium water surface. Do you think the fish will remain healthy if I grow them to 2 feet in length or greater in this aquarium? I do have an outdoor pond but I like seeing the koi in the aquarium and intend to keep them in the aquarium for as long as possible. Any thoughts you can share on my dastardly plan would be appreciated.
The tanks definitely big enough but I’d recommend moving them into the pond once they get bigger
@@UkKoiFish This reply is appreciated, sir. I will watch them as they grow and when they get a bit bigger I'll transfer them to the pond.
Love your vids.
Thank you
Where's that bell at?
Absolutely awesome. Dropping likes and comments on all ur videos.
Thank you I appreciate it
Can you do a filtration video
I definitely can
I have a question. Can I put another kind of fish in a koi's acquarium? Is it dangerous for koi or not?
You can but I wouldn’t recommend it
Omg that's amazing
Thank you
Fabulous 🐟 🐠
Thank you
W O W +1+
Thank you
I have a lots of koi fish example like one Japanese koi, 4 butterflys but different which. Is 2 mayon and one butterfly koi yea.
SOAKA (素赤) should be excluded as soon as possible. Otherwise, it is not NISHIKIGOI. It is out of principle. What you are doing is just fish farming.
Go away
where do i get that scooping net from ?
Norfine nets
How many gallons is that tank
Around 50 gallons
The koi wont harm it?
No they won’t
Get rid of the music please and I'll subscribe. Thax!
Hi this was the one video where I miss edited and put the music way to high. Please do check out my newest videos there much beater quality. Thank you 👍
wonderful🙂
Thank you
Hi, does the ropes across the pond actually work at stopping herons? Nice videos :)
Hi the ropes don’t really deter the heron there more for giving the pool more stability although they do stop bird from diving on the fish
I am getting a 8 inch Sanke just 1, is a 55 gallon tank big enough for just the 1 when it grows?
You probably saved more fry than you lost with this video.
Looking good 👍
Thank you
Wery Nice 😅
first??
Yes 👍
Welcome back.
They come on well but for your next batch you want to stay clear of cuttlebrook they just take 99 percent of the quality out and sell there rejects as fry bags mate , you got a perfect setup spend a bit more and get better quality fry then you will see a great financial return and get better outcomes mate , thanks for the update mate and keep up the passion and videos lad 🍻
Where would you recommend to get them from 👍
@@UkKoiFish Adam byer but order months in advance, and tell him what types you want not a general mix he charges a few quid more but It worth it , and crazy but all my best apart from Adam I've got from eBay just decent hobby guys with too much fry from quality blood lines I got 75 showa for £40 on eBay got £100 each for them the following year 👍🏻
@@Koi-addict33 I had always seen them on eBay but was never to sure if to trust the quality or not I’ll definitely give it a look now thank you 👍
Get in touch with new forest koi 30 a bag mixed fry lots of diff stuff in the bags available for next ten days mate ask for rick say lee and Vince referred you mate
Looks great mate!
Been looking for an update as I’m growing some cuttlebrook on soon . Where did you get your floating bowl from ?
I think it was off Amazon just a standard blue bowl not one designed for koi makes it a lot cheaper
@@UkKoiFish koi tax is a killer . Looking forward to more updates keep them coming 👍
Again, why not just pick the top 10 per cent and keep them separate? I think it is the accumulation of this work that differentiates NISHIKIGOI from other ornamental fish and is the essence of NISHIKIGOI.
Hi I’m planning on doing this once they get a bit bigger. At the moment there’s enough space for all of them but as they get bigger I slowly get rid of the lower quality ones until I’m left with the 20 best ones. You can see how I did this with the last ones as these are now in my main pond. I simply do not have the space to split them up at an early age 👍
@@UkKoiFish The more selective you are, the closer you get to Japanese quality. I am looking forward to it. Keep up the good work.
Nice to have you posting again Good luck with your A level exams keep up the great work
Can’t believe how big the fry are getting
I know !
Glad your back 👍
Thank you
Actually that’s a bristle nose pleco. Doesn’t get much bigger than that
Yh sorry my mistake I realised after filming 😭
Just the video I needed to see. Thanks for sharing. 😊 Neil # Stoke koi adventures
Thank you I appreciate it 👍
you still arround ? how did those fry developed?
Hi I’ve just recorded a video should be posting it tomorrow 🙏
@@UkKoiFish sounds good
Is it not a good idea to push the eggs and sperm out of the fish?
Hi Yes this does have its benefits as it results in more eggs getting fertilised and many large koi farms use that method but it is quite difficult and I don’t have to facilities to do it effectively. Natural spawning is also more fun to watch
