    You seem like a very interesting person...and a hell of a harp player! That was awesome. Would you mind telling me how you came about playing the harp? Are you self taught or did you get lessons? Keep up the great job.

    What about the plunger just above the TPS. Have you ever thought about replacing the plunger that opens and closes the air flow in the throttle body intake? I took mine off and pressed the plunger. I could have blown on it to depress the plunger. I am hoping that the solenoid is working strong enough to push the plunger. Yeh I could have hooked up a 12v supply but thats just a PITA.

    If it works for you, the simplest solution is the best one! You will know when you do some hard corners, aggressive acceleration/deceleration if the pump gets starved for fuel. I am running dual facet 480532 lift pumps to fill a small surge tank with two Bosch 044 fuel pumps mounted vertically inside. Pretty quiet, reliable, redundant, and capable of 1200hp on gasoline or 800 on E85. Baffled efi conversion fuel tanks with even big fuel pumps inside have issues with fuel starvation on high-G loads on muscle cars. Keep up the great work!

    Why not use a seperation tank with the high pressure injection pump inside and a low pressure pump in the main fuel tank? I really cannot understand how the ls is so versitile it fits everywhere and everything.

  • @MatthewFinlay

    Ah the trusty ol’ lift pump! Ya know, I wonder how that changes the calculation on the fuel pump sizing requirement?? Something I’ve never thought to math out

  • @abalke6612
    @abalke6612Ай бұрын

    That’s pretty much my question too. Are you thinking of doing an in tank pump down the road or is it more of it works it works and keep the inline pump?

  • @thisisyourcaptainspeaking2259
    @thisisyourcaptainspeaking2259Ай бұрын

    @@MatthewFinlay As light as the car is, I kinda doubt you'd experience any issues with even the most basic of pumps. Other options probably exist as well, such as a replacement tank with the correct flange or modification to the existing tank to accept a fuel pump module (flange installation). Those guys running their cars on the track must use fuel cells to qualify, this might be an option worth considering.

  • @MatthewFinlay
    @MatthewFinlayАй бұрын

    @alexbalke6612 I’m more of an if it works it works kinda gal but I’ve always had better luck with in-tank setups. Cools the pump and quieter. Buttttt working with such odd tank size restraints led me to the custom aluminum tank you see here.

    Ugh…my friend power washed my brick thinking the sandy finish ALLLLLL over the house was a sloppy motor job. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m super upset. Now I have a section with slick brick and of course, very noticeable. What do you suggest I do to restore the look? I’m calling the brick co Monday for their advice. Home is almost 9 years old.

    I’m not at all surprised by this being a “boring” revival. These brick-era Volvos are unkillable machines. I bought a clean 940 Turbo Wagon several years ago out of curiosity and it has been such a great car that I picked up a cheap 940 beater wagon with 300,000 miles on it as a daily work car. If looks like hell, but nearly everything works and it drives like new. 4,000 trouble free miles so far in that old car. It’s easy to become a fan of these.
