  Had guy already played a land on the turn Stella’s ability exiled the minamo? If not he could have played it before his win attempt to untap Stella and recopy his wisps to try and go over the top of any interaction/removal

  Yes, he played Thundering Falls (a surveil land), which is relevant because binning the card off the surveil and then scrying both cards to the bottom off preordain is how he got to the Minamo. Would've been a sweet rip off the top otherwise though!

  The main issue I have with Nadu is that you cannot IMO have an EDH version (unless you are just intentionally making the deck bad, like building an Urza, Lord Artificer deck without artifacts, which would be silly). It’s just a range between a strong to weak CEDH deck based on how you build it. A weak CEDH deck though is still going to destroy EDH opponents. Kinnan can be more powerful, but you have to intentionally build it to be CEDH. I don’t think you have to sabotage it during design to simply be limited to a high power EDH build.

  The two of you are right, you can't respond to cleanup phase. Necropotence puts the cards in your hand at the beginning of your end step, so you hold priority BEFORE going to cleanup to do all the things you wanna do with those cards. Ranger-Captain silence lasts for the entire turn, meaning there is no point where that falls off and you can respond, no matter how many cards are in hand or what cards are on board. You used to be able to take game actions in cleanup, but not for over a decade. Thank god because nobody misses Wall of Roots making infinite mana between turns. Still a good game, and like Danny said it didn't impact the game.

  So I haven't watched the video yet. But I will respond to this because it has some some misinformation. Necropotence does place cards in hand in the end step, and normally you can play instant speed cards before you move to clean up. and if someone has cracked a ranger captain or silence you wouldn't have a chance to react to anything before you go to clean up. However rule 514.3a explains that if there are any triggers that go on stack during this step that players do gain priority and may respond to any spells or triggers. After stack empties players have priority during this clean up, and then a new clean up phase begins. So while you wouldn't go back to "end step" you can keep cast spells during this clean up phase. So Gitrog will create triggers if you discard lands in clean up. Necropotence creates triggers to exile discarded cards. All of which can be responded to with other spells and ability. This does mean that if you silence someone with ranger captain or silence, they proceed to clean up and then have triggers that happen in clean up, the silence effect will have cleared at the beginning of the clean up phase and they will be cast spells again. This is used with necropotence and borne upon a wind to get around silences and the exile trigger by flashing in Underworld breach. Or whatever B.S. gitrog uses to theoretically win the game in a couple 100 loops.

  @@LightBulbPlayz I see now what Senpai meant about necro, that you'd discard to hand size, then respond to the triggers with born once the silence is gone, very cool. We do mention the Gitrog scenario in the video at the end but the necro thing is going to be very useful.

  Look I play Jhoira 😅 it's been my favorite commander deck so far. It's underpowered because I don't wanna get super crazy good good cards for it ( it's kinda expensive for me rn). I do Jhoira/extra turn/ big spells (creatures, enchantments, and instants/ sorceries)

  Great game. Can't imagine how long the editing took for this one. Those were some serious stacks. Also no need for apologies for things not going quite in order. We play literally the most expansive and rules-heavy game in the world, while also using the most powerful cards in addition to playing it in a four player format. Its a lot to keep track of. Thanks for the content. You guys rock.

  Pretty nitpicking but at 5:47 the Dwarven Grunt does 2 damage to John with the +1/+0 Magda gives to dwarves.

  Yeah so we gave Guy a card he shouldn't have had which lead to another win attempt, once the og spell is gone Stella's ability should have fizzled, which was a big oversight by us. Made the game more fun though right? 😅

  Hi! Great content I have a question: 7:15, triggered ability of Stella Lee, player exiles sorcery DMFC and play it as a land. Can you do that? My guess is no, 'cause the card is a DMFC only in your hand. At any case, I'd like to be sure. If I'm wrong that would be great haha. Keep up the content, greetings from Chile.

  Greeting to you too mate. I believe because Stella says "play" not "cast" the card form exile it's fair game to play it as a land, it doesn't matter if it's from your hand or not. Glad you're liking the videos 👍

  You can, as it specifies you can play that card. If it had qualifiers like cast, or a nonland card type then you wouldn't be able to.

  That was a hell of a game. So many win attempts. Also note for stella Lee. If you counter spell while her ability is on stack, it will fizzle. So he had a couple of extra cards that he probably shouldn't have drawn. Thanks for putting these out and great to see another video. I was worried that we weren't gonna get one. :)

  Yeah there was a bit of confusion of when people were responding (to the ability or to the copy) so Guy may have gotten cards he shouldn't have but it did make the game more exciting 😁. I'll put a post on to explain, but we're doing uploads every 2 weeks so we can do better quality videos and have more free time. Glad you're enjoying them and there will be more!

  @@DissedentMageMtK Caesar is the only deck I’ve ever owned. It’s no cEDH (missing the fast mana), but I’ve put some good money into it. It’s a blast to play, but do you have any other suggestions on other commanders with a similar feel but in different colors? I want to make a new deck, because I’m sure everyone is getting bored of playing against Caesar, but I really enjoy the play style.

  Planeswalker abilities are sorcery speed, you're absolutely right. It'd be too long to leave in but what's happening here is Danny's making infinite mana by flickering his mana sources then casting and killing jeska with her own minus ability after finishing the loop by reanimating another creature that he could put in the bin with a card in his hand, we just admitted defeat because we knew he had it.

  He still has hull breaker and can make infinite colored or ride spout to bound and create infinite mana and he can draw it through Thrasios so it really didn’t matter to much

  Okay so in my defense for both EXTREMELY questionable plays: 1) the spirit I literally thought wouldn’t matter because I thought I had turn 2 win attempt in hand which wouldn’t have mattered who had the spirit at that point and both Dom and Toan have evolution effects which can win the game on the spot, where Danny would have gotten one extra card… (big mistake as it was turn 3 win attempt not turn 2, makes a big difference with a spirit in the Tymna deck) 2) giving the claw to Danny again was because I was going for the win, so giving it to the person last in seat order was fine with me. If I get stopped (which I did) I hoped Danny would have interaction to stop either of you and have to waste the claw on something he didn’t want to, knowing if I got stopped turn 3, I could come right back and put another win on the stack turn 4 (which I did and got stopped again lol) Either way not saying my plays were right or wrong, just my mindset on the situations I was in. Still very raw on turbo in general, definitely tons of room for improvement!

  You were very close to a win pal, it was just something to point out to play tighter. For the record there aren't any evolution effects in the current ikraum list, though I can use the spirit as fodder for culling the weak or diabolic intent

  Yeah I've got the mox opal, LED and mox diamond out so opal is turned on and I can make infinite mana by just flickering the opal and tapping it each time, I didn't sneak one by the table don't worry 😆

  @@MovetoKraumbat mox diamond isn't like chrome mox though. You can't have it enter the battlefield without discarding a land, it's a replacement effect on if it would enter.

  @@RealTheBurgerKing Oh, I see where the confusion is. Abdel lets me choose any number of non land permanents to exile so I'm only choosing the mox opal and animate dead and tapping for mana in between the triggers. Everything else just stays on board.

  I wanted to stop the repeated dockside etbs, I think we figured that even without those 2 he had enough for dockside to go infinite so I thought remove that and we're safe.... I was wrong haha
