Exactly what I was looking for, this is amazing
WOW you did such an amazing job putting this whole documentary together. From one editor to another, you did a great job editing fron start to finish. Much respect!
This video is criminally underrated. Where are all the views!?
this game deserves so much more than it got
That disgusted look when theres an Xbox💀
this was lovely and cosy to watch! LittleBigPlanet is my favourite game of all time, and I know *all* of this already, but going back into it felt so wonderful, especially with so much of the creators' voices to tell the story. thank you, thank you!
I’ve had this documentary in my watch later tab for about 2 years… finally watched it today and I must say, what a documentary. Thank you for making this from the bottom of my heart.
Bring back LBP!!!
This is incredible, totally wished I would have found this earlier.
I want a little big planet 4
one thing LBP deserves more credit for is that it was released over 6 months before the first developmental version of Minecraft was ever uploaded. They were the first piece in a massive wave of creative, user generated content based games that defined pretty much the next decade of gaming
This got recommended to me today, just in time for me to see this in my birthday Little big planet has always been a important thing to me, it's more than a game, it's a whole world in which you can grow, learn and a lot more, it doesn't matter where you are in life, here you can be yourself and enjoy a wild ride
Awesome video man. Takes me way back. That first year when LBP was released was like nothing else. I can’t imagine what it must’ve felt like to be at the heart of it all when it happened. Bittersweet.
I was born after the peak of lbp. But my dad had his old ps3, and I always wanted to play it, I always wanted to create level, although they weren't that good. And I just found the ps3 a few weeks ago and haven't stopped playing lbp 1 and 2 since.
Don’t like the direction the game went with sumo and lbp3 but the classics made by media molecule are masterpieces, I don’t think we will ever get games like that anymore, especially since Sony is more worried about release date and money than giving time for the game to reach its peak, great video btw, surprised this doesn’t have more views
If they for whatever reason they can't get Stephen Fry back to narrate Little Big Planet 4. They should just hire you instead :)
From what the description says, Pumpkin Dynasty didn't narrate the video, he did all of the editing, interviewing, etc. Says some guy called Alexander Luthor is the narrator here.
@@HungryHungryB ***If they for whatever reason they can't get Stephen Fry back to narrate Little Big Planet 4. They should just hire the guy who did the voice over for this instead :)
NO WAY!!!! my first ever playstation game was Rag Doll Kung Fu !!! I loved that game as a kid (5 to 6 years old) it was always funny to me. As a person that states Little Big Planet will forever be my favorite game of all time, this makes it even better! I had no idea.
You can definitely see the similarities
LittleBigPlanet is that "if you know, you know" game. Truly amazing series, and I hope it has some sort of revival... perhaps on PC outside of the Project Lighthouse private servers.
18:50 GENIUS !!!!!!! These guys are sooooo psychedelic and I LOVE IT. Inspires me to bring something beutiful into this world truly
LBP4L❤❤❤
This hit me in the feels, I love how Studio Ghibli's movie had an influence on the game's visuals! And not only that, but how we as players have also inspired one another (the cycle of inspiration never ends)💛 This game has such a special place in my heart. Thank you for making this documentary!
My story with LBP starts with the PS3 designated demos. I was really, really young when I started playing. To say that the saga has impacted my life would be an understatement. I'm now a teen essayist, artist, and content creator looking to take that next big creative step, and I have decided to go back to LBP to figure myself out. I've always been curious about how LBP came to be, and I'm really happy that I've found this video. It presents itself in such a pretty manner, it feels so cared for. You should be proud of your work, it is a great piece, and it's really inspiring. Really excited to see what else you've got on the horizon!
If you’re the creator of this Doc, thank you, was great, and had so many great stories! ❤
What a beautiful game
I have been chasing the fun and imagination this game brought me ever since i was a kid. I have never found a game like LBP. Im hoping restitched will recapture the fun, imagination, and love poured into this game.
Thank you for this documentary! I love LBP and i loved the documentary either
The passion behind this game is truly amazing... almost tear-jerking when you consider what a tremendous impact the series has had on so many of our lives. Brilliant video! Thank you for making it :)
i don't know when it was, but the ps3 servers got shot down for a long time. Sony gave out free games as a apologie and lbp1 was one of them. I was not home at the time. As i came back i see my older brother play a new game named lbp 1 and that was the beginning
This was my childhood :D Thanks for this video <3
man i miss lbp so much, reminds me of when life was easier and simpler.
While y'all are missing the game, I 'm playing a legitimate copy of lbp on my ps3😂
I personally prefer the sequel over the first one
Great document btw! LBP has been a huge part of my life, even though I was in my mother's pregnant stomach when the first game arrived, I was born a year and a 4 months later. Biggest years have been 2016-2018.
sacrea bleu what a beautiful thing mi amore
This is 2 years late, but idc. This documentary is amazing. It gave me so much more information and an incredible, indepth look into the creation of this masterpiece of a video game. I especially love how much care and emotion was put into the video. The music, quotes from the developers/art director and the visuals were just PERFECT additions to the video. This wasn’t just a documentary, it was an experience. Well done man, well goddamn done ❤️
Near the end at 40:28 there’s a shot that made me sit up and remember. That’s from PS Home! I doubt many people even remember that relic, but ps home was really interesting and honestly feels like an early vr chat experience. Miss the old ps3 days
OH MY GOD THAT PLACE WAS MY FAVORITE I MISS IT SO BAD I STG THATS HOW I DEVELOPED SELF AWARENESS
Genuinely keep talking myself out of buying a vr headset bc it would definitely make me miss ps home.
To this day, I am glad to say there were only two game franchises which actually made me want to stay up late just to keep playing. One was Dark Souls, the other, this one. I used to have so much god damn fun fooling around with the game it felt dreamish then, and still does feel that way whenever I look back. I truly, TRULY wish I can relive this sort of experience someday, because the end of my time with this cute little fella spelt the end of the best years of my life, and the start to a life of spiralling down to a constant state of wanting to do everything and just wanting to lay in bed.
“No you can’t quit yet!” “Ok fine” “Good, you’re fired” 🗿
I recently grabbed LBP again to be sad at the fact that the OG servers are down. So i got 3 and have been messing around. Love it in the same way i used to in middle school!
monotribe :D
This game and its franchise is a masterpiece
Such an underrated video. These guys are the true definition of game developers and i'll always be grateful for their work and dedication towards lbp. My mind went wild playing this game and the community and unlockables just added so much to my curiosity it was like i could never get enough. Absolutely revolutionary of a game, I do hope that maybe mm might emerge again and do something even more ambitious, but for now it seems like dreams is still their #1 as of now from what I know.
Everybody in this video seems so charming and I owe them a lot of my best memories in terms of videogames. It's honestly really touching to hear them thanking the people who embraced their game and did things they couldn't even imagine with it. Really great work on this.
I literally cried whilst watching this. I thank god for my sisters ex-boyfriend for bringing LBP2 to the house and giving it to me. I met my best friend for 8+ years on there, without this franchise, I legit would not be who I am today. Little Big Planet was a safe space, a haven where I could simply be my annoying kid self and make the weirdest shit ever and laugh about it. Roleplaying, costume creation, copying other peoples works/objects (AKA community objects); it was everything I could ever dream of. Ever since they officially closed servers, I honestly still haven’t completely gotten over it. I made so many memories on this game, good and bad. Recently however, I’ve seen a resurgence in LBP content on youtube. Cute and funny memes of SackBoy “shaking his sack booty” for Stephen Fry. It’s stupid, I love it 😭. Oh I also forgot to mention how amazing the community is, to this day it’s just full of amazing and creative people. God I love this game, I could go on about it forever but just to cut it short, thank you so much for creating this documentary. Not only does this video deserve more attention, but so does your channel 💗.
Lbp will hopefully never fully die!!!! It's got memes this year too.
"dont go to valve" imagine the universe where LBP was on the source engine, PC only, on steam and made by valve.........
I wish they would do a re-release of this game on PS 4, 5 and PC. Also great Documentary, impressive what you pulled off with under 1K subscribers.
39:46 actual goosebumps..... Alot of nostalgia hit me at the same time right there
LBP was my childhood game pretty much, and ive just recently picked it up again because i finally have my own playstation now (i used to play on my brothers playstation. My "own" playstation is actually my brothers old ps4 haha) and it makes me so nostalgic and happy that ive almost cried several times during this video. Thank you so much for creating this game
This is one of my favorite video game series and im glad that there is fan servers now that brought back up the originals on ps3 and even rcps3 now its crazy how much this game affected everyone that played it and i still play it too this day
commenting to boost ratings. good vid.
