    Great review, thank you for showing that the nalgene will fit in this. Blackie Thomas demonstrated that the old Stanley two cup mostly fits the Grayl GeoPress water filter, so this larger version will be perfect for the GeoPress as a cookset. Awesome combo!

    I have the original set as well, I just went on rei and ordered the new set, I might order a bigger cook set with the pot,maybe the frying pan too, but most definitely the 1 with the 2 bowls and pot

    Thanks for the comparison! The old Stanley has been a go-to pot for years - glad to know that the design team there paid attention to cares/concerns/suggestions from customers, and seem to have made some really nice improvements! EDIT: Weird. Amazon has the old 2 cup cookset, the new 2 cups set, the new 2 bowl prep & cook set - but not the new 2 cup cookset!

    I seen this set recently on their website. Looked for a video but didn’t find one. Happy your video popped up today! I have the older version and the cups are 10oz it’s wrote on the bottom of them. So I’m curious as to what the size of the new ones are and if it’s on the bottom as well. 😁

    Excellent review and well done to Stanley for improving an old favourite. It's actually nice to see a MK2 item that is a genuine improvement over the original, and not a thinly disguised cost cutting exercise...

    I wish they would sell it without the 2 plastic cups. I would ditch those and use the rest with my GSI cup in my bottle bag. Question, how does the new lid fit on a GSI cup?

    I just ordered the new Stanley two cup cookset. I have used the old style for many years now but always wanted it a little larger and now Stanley has built one. I am liking the new two cups also for coffee and coco or cool aid style beverages. The double wall cups work great with hot liquids or hot soups or really anything else that’s hot you could cook.

    With the original Stanley Cook Pot you should insert the fuel canister upside down and it fits much better. The marking on the green cup indicates that's the "one cup" mark. What difference does it make if, with the new pot, you can nest a Nalgene bottle if you can't fold the handle?

    Love this Stanley. I burned my leg with scalding water due to that old style narrow bottom not resting securely on a stove. This newer one is going to be great! Only thing I can think to make it hetter would be changing to butterfly handles.

    Honestly, I would like to see an ice retention challenge between the roadie 15 and the pelican 14 qt. Also in comparison, even though the yeti is built slightly more durable and perhaps it has slightlybetter ice retention I believe the pelican offers you more bang for your buck. And this is why… the pelican comes with the dry storage compartment at the top of the lid yeti does not have that it also comes with a dry storage basket, which you have to buy with yeti The pelican also has a bottle opener with a magnetic catch which yeti does not have . It also comes with a place to put your lock which comes standard. With yeti you have to order the locking mechanism thingy, even though it comes free. There is no drilling accessories and all of that nonsense with the pelican. With the yeti in order to place that locking mechanism thingy you have to screw this yourself not to mention if you want a bottle opener you will have to purchase a $20 bottle opener and screw that in yourself into a $200 cooler yikes. So my friend, would you please do an honest review of the yeti 15 and a pelican 14. Ty.

    Wow . . . didn't know Yeti was going to release this ! I have an older Roadie 20 (the one with the stainless steel handle). It still works great, but it's getting a bit dated. A few things make this CLUTCH for me usage. #1 - the size /weight. My Roadie 20 is heavy for it's size . . . and I rarely stuff it full . . . so '15' would be adequate for me. #2 -the removable strap / handle . . . I rarely use the Stainless handle on my 20 . . . and when I do, it's an awkward PITA. #3 - They kept the 'tie-down' feature is a HUGE plus . . . I use mine tied down in my boat. #4 - I'm amped that they made 2 small baskets fit in this . . . that's beyond cool . Damn it . . . now I've gotta save up for one!!!!!

    Thanks for the review. I'd seen the Wildfare Go set on the Stanley website and elsewhere but not much in the way of commentary about it. The Adventure set used to sell for around $15 at Walmart, one of it's attractive selling points, but now sells elsewhere for $25. The Wildfare set sells for $20. So, an improved set for a 20% less. Thanks again.

    Nesting a Nalgene- or any bottle in either pot- is a moot feature b/c there no way to stow the handle.

  • @BarnYardOutdoors
    @BarnYardOutdoors2 күн бұрын

    You can remove the handle and slide it in the pot between the bottle and pot wall. I demo that near the end of the video.

  • @THCone
    @THCone2 күн бұрын

    @@BarnYardOutdoors I saw. Still doesn't change the fact u can't stow the hande. Removing the handle to make it work is analogous to taking apart a stove to make it fit inside a pot. There are plenty of pots that can nest a Nalgene w/o disassembling the pot. Simply put, this is a poorly designed product IF the intention is to be a nesting pot. What I mean is, Stanley could have very easily used a different handle design if they wanted to toute Nalgene nesting as a fearure. Thanks for hearing me out

  • @BarnYardOutdoors
    @BarnYardOutdoors2 күн бұрын

    @THCone that makes perfect sense. I see your point, folding butterfly handles (or some other type) would be better for a nesting cookset setup.

  • @brawndothethirstmutilator9848
    @brawndothethirstmutilator98482 күн бұрын

    @THCone, Fair point. I wonder if that’s an intentional feature or just coincidental? One thing I like about the handle it has (as with the old model) is that you can lock the handle closed over the lid and string some wire through to hang it over a fire like a small bush pot.
