I love this video! It will sure help!
I like this one, Wick! It's a nice addition to your content! If you wanted to streamline it, which I think would do well, you could just do like 5 stores per vid; show lowest to highest on active listings and sold listings and comment on the items/presentation as you did here; Also you could maybe drop a link to each store in a pinned comment in case your viewers see something they wanna snag; it's a great way to expose other sellers and possibly give em' a little boost! And if you did one a couple times a month, it's a great way to engage with the community, as anyone that watches you would agree that you're one of the most respected resellers on YT, and your advice is scripture! Thanks for a great video brother!
Most realistic reseller on youtube. No damn drama or clickbait. Been following for years and am shocked so many people don't know about him.
Should check out solds on their store. See whats selling.
Single McDonald's toys are a hard sell but themed lots sell well and fast for me! I've sold McDonald's Furby lots, Winnie the Pooh lots, Peter Pan lots, etc and they sell pretty quick! As long as they're new sealed, they're usually pretty decent in themed lots, at least for me.
If an item sells for less than 10 bucks, I don't feel that it's worth listing; that's time I would spend sourcing. Just my personal choice, though.
I am the same way. But I'm a little more aggressive. I only deal with items that make $20 or more... profit....like, after eBay fees and taxes.... my first year or two doing eBay I wasted a lot of time with cheap things. It was good practice though....
Great video. Would love to see more of these.
Hey, Wick! Loved your constructive praise + criticism - we can ALL learn from this type of video. THANKS!!!
Hi would love a store review next time! My store is The Retro Section!! Keep up the great content brother!!!!
I want eBay to get rid of fees on shipping if we use their discounted rates. It’s robbing us of margin on something that is an expense. There is not profit from shipping fees.
I want you to do mine!!!! I sent an email so here’s hoping! Can you do what is on the sellers sold side?
I'll check to see if there's a way to search a sellers sold listings
Hey I’ve been doing this 2 years now ! You should review mine too 😂
That Charity Donation is the same BS at the supermarket. You get nothing, they get to take your 'donation' and stack it quarterly, and then THEY get the tax deduct on YOUR 'donation'. That's how that goes.
I agree, but I was curious if it encouraged other people to buy more from someone offering to give 10% to charity over someone else.
cool video, you should also review their solds, it would get a better idea of what they are selling
Yeah, I'll have to see if there's a way to search individual sellers solds
EBAY EBAY
How do we sign up to get reviewed?
That was very good tips. I appreciate you going through them all!
Thanks so much for doing this, Wick! Really helpful!
Wick! Thank you so much for your feedback on my store. I’m going to go through and wipe out the older low value items like games, dvds etc. I appreciate your kind & helpful advice ❤
No problem! Thanks for sharing.
This is such a unique video, Wick! Really cool idea. Enjoy seeing what others are selling.
Those peanuts figures are not Vintage unless 5 years is vintage
PLEASE NEVER REMAKE DICK TRACY - it’s a classic , they’d wreck it
Wick! That is highly against eBay policy. You must clean clothes to sell them on eBay. Go read policies. It's also supposed to be listed on every ad that you washed or cleaned clothes as per eBay policy
Stock photos are against eBay policy.
That was fun! It's interesting to see what other people are selling, and how they have things set up. Would love to see more!
The white and black backgrounds are a fail nowadays. A medium grey background acts like chroma key and shows true colors of items especially clothes. Less editing and real pics . Using natural sunlight or halogen light bulbs to mimic sunlight is a plus. That black and white background is way back on eBay like 2001. Because idiots photograph an item with a dirty nasty bedroom and in their unmade bed.
eBay doesn't allow mystery boxes and things like that
I hope you are charging them for that
I would have looked at lowest and highest sold and for sale.
I need advice on my poshmark store. Trying like crazy nothing much sells.
Been having the same problem, I think the problem with Poshmark is the scams are ridiculous, almost nobody trusts anyone seller unless they’ve been in the game for awhile. All you can do is just wait, stay active, and eventually something will sell, have yet to sold my first item 🤷
Because you have to pay a lot for extra services to get sales. And it's a lot of babysitting.. my time is worth money
New Sub here. Let me say thank you for helping fellow sellers. So many others claim to help but only exploite viewers for sales and followers. HUDSON VINTAGE BEING ONE OF THEM!
That lady (Hudson Vintage) rubs me the wrong way. Can’t quite figure out why.
Thank you for this video. Really enjoyed it, picked up a few tips. Going to donate low $$$ useless listings I made when I first started!
Yes, I do really like this kind of content! I never knew when it was cost effective to get a store. I only sell about $1,000/mo & have about.500 items listed. Is it time to get one now? What do you consider ehen deciding to get one? Thanks!
My God the minimum store is 250 listings ..you must love to throw your money away paying by the ad on eBay? You get a store when you exceed the minimum listings.
Stores are not necessary, but you can get shipping supply coupons and unlock more items to list for free etc. I don't even really know the perks anymore since I've had one for so long lol
where's the best offer...6000 dollar adidas...alot of super highly priced items sitting without best offer....
Not hard to figure out. If you don't see one then the price is firm .
BOLO 1990 Dick Tracy Movie The Blank Action Figure ......used it goes for $400 plus. New its around $2500!
My rule is, if an item doesn't sell in one year, I throw it away or donate it, which is painful, and I never buy that item again. It's really helped slim down the amount of items I have to deal with and helped me focus on getting better, more valuable, and higher margin items. Over time I've made a lot more money and deal with 75% less items.
CRAZY ,,,IVE SOLD SO MANY HIGHER DOLLAR ITEMS THAT SAT WELL OVER A YEAR .... WATCHES ...CDS JUST SOLD A 39.00 CD THATS BEEN SITTING A CPL YEARS ....I GOT LIKE 15 SEALED CDS IN THAT SAME LOT FOR 18.00 ...I SOLD ONE BEATS CD FOR 90 ... SHOES THAT HAVE SAT FOR OVER A YEAR FOR 80-100 BUCKS ...SOME STUFF AS SOON AS I SELL SIMILAR BOOM THEY SELL ... BUT IF IT WORKS FOR U ,,,THATS WHAT MATTERS .....I ALSO DO NOT PROMOTE ANY ON ANY ITEMS ....BUT I ACTUALLY HAVE BETTER SALES NOW THEY WHEN I PROMOTED EVERY ITEM ...NO BODY BELIVES ME ...
Throwing away items you've already put the work into to buy, clean, list etc doesn't make any sense unless you're running out of room.
We put those items on a major discount like $6
@@717liquidationllc At around 9 months I will reduce to my "break even" price. Even if it does sell at break even price, it's not an item I want to buy again. If it still won't sell at break even, I'm throwing it out.
I personally rarely remove an item after I listed it. Since I've put in the work, I just lower price until I can make some money or get some back. If I'm running out of room that might change. I have no issues waiting 2+ years for something to sell. I'm always selling items that have sit that long.
can't make a nickel on Ebay unless you're giving away a dime.
Wrong
Please explain?
too much competition, and too little money floating around the economy. Hang tight, we're going to see business again, but be ready to sell this time. The Fed has been sucking up liquidity to drive prices down, but at some point they'll have to supply liquidity again, or QE. Be ready for it.
YOU cant* don’t talk about me
My (step) daughter made me a dancing chicken rolling tray in the spirit of the GD dancing bear. It’s going on t-shirt one day. Yes we have chickens and they dance to the Grateful Dead.
Hi Wick!!! It’s been a few weeks since I’ve watched any KZread and when I logged in today, yours was the one I chose to watch! I wanted to say I think that Camel item is called a windbreaker. We had them in calif when I was growing up. Very popular on the beaches back then. I don’t really see those anymore so that was a cool throwback! I have to also mention this one pair of Nike shoes are dang ugly! They look like a pair of Greek sandal married a sneaker! Not sure if you know what Greek sandals look like but look it up and you might agree! I always like to ask a personal question when I comment, so my question today is how do you handle all of the items you collect? In other words, do you have them all on display or are they stored away. Do you ever use them or show them to company?
Hello! The items I really like are displayed around my work area and many of the other things just stored in totes. I share them with my KZread audience, but not much else
Love your videos man. I learn so much. How much in % would you say is sold on eBay compared to Amazon? And do you always keep it open to globally ship or not really?
I'd say it's around 50/50 now. Amazon used to dominate, but since it keeps getting harder to sell there, eBay has been getting more attention. I have global shipping on every item unless it's something not allowed.
How much were the Lego sets you passed by? As a reseller of Lego, I probably would have picked those up even if they were opened.
I don't remember, they were high. I looked them up and they weren't worth it to me.
Im shocked that people sell used drum heads on ebay. Crazy.
You have one of the nicest voices I have ever heard. Do you ever do voice work? You should if you don't. You sound better than most DJ's. Actor quality voice. I like your videos. I often sell glassware. Lots of yard and garage sales. I will keep my eye out for some of the stuff you mention on your videos. I am not real serious about reselling. It's just a hobby for spending money.
I've never done any voice work. I'm not good at speaking, have allergies and asthma, so not sure how well that would work out lol.
@@FlippingJunk You are very good at speaking. You seem comfortable talking on the videos. Yes I would suppose asthma and allergies would be hard to keep under control. Really enjoy your videos. Have learned to look for some really nice stuff.
People ask you all the time, Wick...why do you call yourself Wick?....
I would have to see what these actually sold for on a regular basis and how long they took to sell, not what they're listed for, before i bought used toasters. They feel like a hard sell. Good luck to those who choose to do it though!
Always enjoy your videos, Wick!
Sometimes you get exhausted looking at so many things, eyes skip over items and then before you know it you just want to get out of there🎉
I'm always surprised that folks don't take advantage of the "minimum offer" feature - it saves sellers from even seeing lowball offers. ☺
Wow, nice finds. My Goodwills seem to only have trash! 😛
