    Hey brother, looking at doing the same, from Australia! Just a few questions.. What MAF are you using and what's the benefit of using it? higher values for the ECU to read? I heard you said PMAS MAF, if you don't mind sharing, which one is it? What Injectors did you end up using? I might've missed where you said it haha, and are you using an aftermarket fuel reg? Cheers bro! (great to hear the thing running and driving!)

  • @aco.b
    @aco.bАй бұрын

    Hey! Yes the maf reads much higher values, it is an HPX PMAS. The injectors are Siemens DEKA 60lb/630cc I would probably recommend different ones as these are notorious for being difficult to tune idle etc but I got a good deal on them. Fuel regulator is still stock, ive seen builds as high as 600hp still on the stock regulator so no need to change for what im doing.

    Hey man! Cars lookin good, just thought I’d mention.. I’ve built a few stock ecu builds, 8psi is fine but you’ll need a ” boost fuel reg” there really cheap, just a eBay one is ok! I’ve had them starve of fuel if you don’t touch the fuel at all! It’s dead simple to fit.. It just goes on your fuel return line, give a vacuum/boost source, set the base pressure to 50psi and that’s it!! Tuning is done 👍 As good as a dyno lol..

    That style exhaust hanger causes a lot of vibrations in the cabin and makes the exhaust louder inside car. The oly other big offender to cabin noise is overly stiff trans mounts. I love my electric fan. ( flexlite lowboy puller with the wavy fins ) oil cooler if you have the bigger oil pump that does not have that extra bolt hole (see the accilies pump web page to see the diference ) I used a 31 row cooler. The ebay in line thermostat uses the exact same parts as the misimoto one fwiw. ( i bought bolth before i knew)

    @@aco.b ok, so I was thinking right way, that you would not miss such oportunity to make intake piping lot simplier ;) If you want to make it temperature-wise quite reliable, oil cooler is a must have. my b30t have not and after not so long 2-3 runs it goes to 110-115C (like probably 230F? ) and doesn't want to cool itselfs. So if you think about doing seat time like 10 laps in the row - will not work without. Do you know precisly what is the spec of the compresor and turbine wheel?

    Shouldn’t the drain be above the oil level in the pan? By having it at the bottom you are going to have oil in the drain and the turbo oil won’t have anywhere to go

  • @Driftlife36
    @Driftlife363 ай бұрын

    I wouldn’t do this brotha, that material they use on the an fittings won’t withstand multiple oil changes if it doesn’t back up the oil from being at the bottom of the pan

  • @aco.b
    @aco.b3 ай бұрын

    Yep, above the oil level is ideal. Like i said, ive seen others do this without issue so thought id give it a try to see for myself. In theory the level of oil in the drain wont exceed the level in the pan, if it doesnt work out ill just weld a bung higher or in the timing cover.

    @@alexman9062 ok so step by step. Didn't see the answer, have read one more time all. First of all - this car is 2.8??!! I literally thought all the time, that this is m52b25 😅 That changes a lot. But further, answering Jason: ofcourse I'm talking about chineese/polish made turbo, 35.30 came from K64 company. gt3582 in a beater compact with m54b25 on my reel didn't forgot the fire ring :) This turbo is simply waaay too big on both sides to be woken up thru 2,5 fast. Ofcourse gt30 is way smaller. But I come to this conclusion that still too big for B25, cause I have GT30 IN MY B30 and FOR ME is still a bit laggy on 2nd gear. Now directly Alex for you: I'm analysing now how to turbo my missile Wagon with exactly M54B25. Made quite big sheet with comparisons of the wheel sizes in many turbos, from chineese's thru pulsars and oem garretts. Watched a lot of yt movies with turboed B25s. My conclusion: for B25 to have good wake up I would put nothing more then GT3071 with 0,63 AR. Why? Cause people are putting GT30s on AR0,63 for 2Js (Brandon Wicknick loved it). Cause people are putting g25's (Garrets and Pulsars) for 1Js, which are 5mm smaller on turbine wheels then GT30. Cause stock CT15b form single 1jz has almost same hot side as G25 but even waay smaller cold side. I would turbo my b25 even on td05-20g (Scubi 2,5 upgrade turbo), cause is very similar to ct15b, but here you could start to have problems with stock rods..sory, a lot. But a lot to talk about. If you would more, we could contact other way, sory Aco for spam :)

    Small turbo will be high back pressure and lots of detonation. I wouldent run a turbine that small , it will really choke over 4500rpm ( Engine trying to breathe through a straw) your going to break a ringland in no time. ( I own multple s52/m52/m54 turbo cars) 3576 would be as small as i would go if you expect it to live. M50 motors breath. They are designed to be n.a. if it takes 8 or 10 pounds to make 400 crank, a jz needs a bar or more boost. Small turbos / high emap kill these engines over and over. The external w.g. dump may be your saving grace if you dont mind it loud ( lower emap )

    I run a gtx3071r .82Ar on my m54b25 with pump gas. 8PSI boost on this setup is perfect. Turbo spools hard and fast, almost feels like my old M62 V8. A 4th gear pull ill see full boost at nearly 3000RPM. Maybe 3250RPM. Just something to think about. I used to run and BW S257SX-E and that was great but it was a little laggy. Definitely coulda benefited from E85 on that setup. I saw full boost around 3500RPM or nearly 3850RPM depending on gear and load

  • @FaworDrifts

    leave the turbo mate! I was going to turbo my m54b25 with td05-20g - this turbo is already slightly larger then stock 1jz gte (ct15b). Your t06 is probably even bit larger. I would rather have less boost (if it will be needed) and ultrafast spool, then laggy big turbo setup. I have 3076 (ish - maxpeedingrods :D ) in B30 - and this still can be faster in throttle response. For sure would hate it in half liter less. Remember your purpose - probably more low then high speed drifting. Dyno pulls are loading the car A LOT more then drifting on second gear. You can tell on the dyno, that such turbo on 2,5l is kicking boost too fast, but on 4th gear loaded from 1,5k rpm :) This is not 2nd gear blipping. I would leave it :)
