    I'm so intrigued with your channel. I was having a tough day, so when I do, I watch home birthing videos lol...I'm a mom of 5 marrieds and a gma of 16, and I guess I'll always find comfort in all things birthing. Anyway, then I fell in love with your family..the beast of a mama we saw as you birthed your baby...your teen daughter falling in love with her sister immediately...the 6am meet and greet with the boys and their new sissy...your hubby and you working as a dream team...and then I saw this video. I don't know anything about "caravans" - I think they're just called "fifth wheels" here in the US, but what you have is FARRRRR and away beyond anything I've seen here. I mean, those wheels and tires alone 🤯Maybe I missed it, but where does your oldest sleep in this new one? Hey, I'm subscribing because why the heck not. You guys are something really different and special and the videos are done SOOOO seamlessly!! Super cool, and the views! I have so many questions, but I'll just watch, catch up on the videos I've missed (I've only seen your birth video, and this one), and see what I can learn about you. Nomads doing it up fancy in like, rock star type tour bus with a twist of upscale perfection PLUS four kiddos. From the fabrication of this new caravan, all the way down to the decor (YES, the pillows are top knotch, mom!), all just fabulous. Oh, btw, hubbys eyes are so dark blue, and baby's eyes are so pretty, and mom you are way too gorgeous to have just had a baby....oldest is so pretty and the boys are adorable. Well, thats all for now. Sending support from a little town in western WA called Orting!

    Well done for rolling with it. I can’t believe the truck has been so unreliable. I thought Isuzu was bullet proof. Suppose no car/truck is. Safe travels and can’t wait to see your next ep. X

    no shoes,no helmet.no problem.let the kids learn.a helmet is prob a good idea.but the chances of big injury are smaller than the 100% chance he will learn to calculate risk for himself and then want to wear a helmet by himself.

    I noticed you have said that Isuzu are looking after you but, in my books, the lose alternator and now the intercooler pipes are things that they have stuffed up. Interested to know if they are the original intercooler pipe clamps and even if they are they should have been replaced when they did the engine as it sounds like they were on the way out, they are shit clamps. You look like a handy kinda guy i think i would be getting my hands dirty in future and checking that bolts and clamps are tight after having that sort of work done before you head off into the outback. good luck

    Your truck doesn't look that old are Isuzu doing the right thing by you ? A tip spray the inside of the intercooler hose with some lacquer hair spray then put it straight back on do the clamp up wait about 3 minutes for it to Dry and it will never come of by itself again, Thats a Tip from a Truck mechanic our was always coming off until I did that Aye.

    Truck has done amazing work in its life, towing large heavy vans at speed eventually causes things to wear. The distance's and time frames is amazing stress to both driver and equipment. Think both doing extremely well.

    Grab yourself some T-bolt clamps for the intercooler pipes, then spray the inside of the hose ends with copper gasket spray (hairspray also works) then fit and clamp, give a little bit of time for the spray to set. Common issue with the Isuzu.

    I hope your run of mechanical woes is over! I also have an NPS and an Isuzu mechanic told me that the passengers side intercooler pipe always blows off first because it is a a larger diameter than the drivers side pipe, it commonly blows off down as the intercooler itself. He told me to make sure it was really clean using brake cleaner or some other solvent and to do the clamps up with a spanner as the screwdriver will not get them tight enough to prevent them blowing off.

    Looking out the lounge window beyond the balcony up on a hill in a small coastal town in Devon. I look out to the horizon on my left to the Sea, below is the town sprawling across the valley below and up the other side and to my left is a lattice work of fields with crops, cows, lama's and sheep, horses and donkeys. I can see over 40 miles out to sea and the horizon and miles of forest and farmland. I would say that most probably is better than a big red stone in a desert like environment in my opinion. Each view has its beauty in the eye of the beholder I would have thought.

    You need Mikalor Super clamps in place of those wretched worm drive clamps. I had similar issues with my truck, the silicon hoses that came with the upgraded intercooler. The number of times I had to fix it by the side of the road till I changed the clamps. Grrrrrrr. Hope you solved it long term.

    You can get aftermarket pipes that are more secure, it’s a common problem after you’ve done a tune but assuming you’ve got a new engine you maybe havnt done tune yet.

    Did you say 6k for a tow? Can you get RACV platinum care I think it is for these, I havnt travelled yet so not sure this would cover for towing

  • @thecartwrights
    @thecartwrights8 күн бұрын

    So Isuzu care has decided to change and not inform its customers. They originally covered the full cost of the tow. Now they only cover 600 bucks of the tow. So we originally didn’t have the need for RAC. Now we do!!

    Mate don’t let the 1% of life get you down. I feel you and I think we have all been there. But look at it this way. That “problem” gave you a great opportunity to teach your future trip maintenance manager what can happen and how to fix it. All in all a good job as a Dad. Your kids are living the free life as we did as kids. Learn by doing and enjoying what was given to us for free.
