My question what are people doing here in Mississippi to be able to afford these homes? Looking at the job market here it don't seem like there's enough people making that kind of money to be able to afford these type homes. I drive through alot of these neighborhoods and every one of them be occupied.

There are a few. Check out our video on The Village in Madison from a couple weeks ago. There are other more affordable options too depending on what you're looking for. Feel free to give us a call/text at 6012926070, we would love to help!

In Va we floor the actic of luxury residence.

  • @LivingInJackson

They floor a a pretty good chunk of it with Plywood or OSB. I'm not sure they were 100% done, especially on the first house, because if you look, they haven't blown the insulation in up there yet. Or do you mean they actually floor it with finished flooring like you would one of the main floors? They never do that here.

Thanks for sharing! Thanks also for giving us info about home site city locations and business/shopping proximities. There are pros and cons for both homes that comes down to personal taste. Not a fan of the brink color on the first house as I prefer a lighter brick. Overall, the exterior elevation and interior of the first home works great together. I would pick that home. A vaulted ceiling in the main living area is more important than a vaulted bedroom. You want the space you (and company) spend the most time in to feel open and spacious. Thanks again from Orlando, FL...good job! Moving back there soon.

Very great homes. The first one looks better, but since it is a darker color it will gain more solar energy making it hotter during the summer.

I didn’t even think about it from that perspective, but that one also has more trees behind it which is the south side, so it may end up being more shaded, so it could balance out

I plan on moving to Tupelo,Mississippi in 3 years from California. Rent, food and buying a house is soooo expensive here in California and lets not forget taxes. Been to Tupelo twice and loved it,not a bad place to live. What I like about Tupelo is that it's not far from Memphis, Nashville , Oxford, Starkville, Jackson and other cities and states. Love how Mississippi has all four seasons.

The fact you think its easy for people here to buy a near 500k home. The only opportunities here are what? Agriculture? Medical? Lawyer? Okay. Not everyone wants to do that, and no - I dont mean some BS like "gender studies". There are so many stable careers and degrees that people have to MOVE AWAY for. The only people buying those homes either work in those professions or people from somewhere else buying a vacation home or retirement. There is nothing here for anyone who has more than a small set of interests.

300 is about as low as new construction gets around here these days. You might find some smaller things occasionally in the mid to high 2’s, but it’s rare. Most areas have minimum square footage which makes it harder to build for much less. Are you looking for a new home around here?

And you are in the medical field. I have already commented several times. The only people who like it here are either in the medical field, agriculture, or law. Not everyone has such basic interests. Any degree besides those here are useless ...unless you move away. Even forensics are a dead end here. Countless degrees are a waste in MS. And NO I DONT MEAN GENDER STUDIES. We also pay the smallest wage for ANY career. So.. no thanks.
