Somehow the Death Rite Bird won't fall off the cliff. 10x tries already and somehow he is sometimes able to hit me or even grab me through the wall. Did they patch it?

For those of you unaware of this, the earliest Ancient Somber Smithing Stone is in Mohgwyn Palace. Directly across from the elevator leading to Mohg Lord of Blood, guarded by several Red Aubenaurics with various weapon types and one of the Blood Assassins you've already encountered in the dark area of this zone; is a chest with the stone inside. This means as soon as you move White Mask Varre to Rose Church in Liurnia of the Lakes, you have access to a +10 Somber weapon.

TIPS FOR THE DEATHBIRD if anybody is struggling on this part here’s how I got it to work (works as of 6-4-24) you have to be patient and wait until it gets close enough to do melee attacks, then go under the second root. Learned the hard way after trying to rush it and kept getting spammed with his range attacks. Also it is possible for him to jump over the root and end up behind you. Just hold block and pray for good RNG.

Amazing guide I got through it! For what it's worth, only thing i'd add is maybe some passive map point outs when you call out places. I had to exit your guide i'd say 10 times to find some of the places you mention. I know you give cardinal direction. But to new and even intermediate players to the game. Having to find those could cause someone to not finish the guide. Regardless great guide!

Yeah normally we do a lot of map custom animations on these, this guide we ran out of time on our deadline which was very unfortunate. Great feedback, I can assure you none of our other guides are missing that feature though

I'm not going to burn the tree till after the dlc. So I am stuck with my own farm instead of the postgame farm. 4,164×5 + 5,413×10 + 78,000×3 = 308,950 runes per cycle 3x 77seconds= 231 seconds= 3 minutes 51 seconds 231÷60= 3.85minutes 308,950÷3.85= 80246 runes per minute The 77 seconds is vague as i didn't use a fowl foot, to simulate its usage I stood around for a moment. I have completed multiple runs with the foot being used, I just didn't use it when collecting statistics and data. 77 was the time it took from the moment I stood up from grace point to the next time I stoop up from the grace point.

You can get the talisman to get 20% more runes easily, get the wolves ashes from ranni the run through the tombs run in pick up the herb (you need to upgrade wolves) then leave, go to the tomb in weeping peninsula just south of the avatar for herb 1&2 (if i remember correctly) then the in west side of caelid next to the herd tree avatar . then go to the catacombs directly west of the great bridge in caelid for the rest. Speak to the woman who gives jellyfish summon then use the path at the side of the castle to get to liurnia. This will force her to move to round table hold, go there exhaust her dialogue then lvl ur wolves to lvl 5 (6 if u can) then go to merchant near caelid swamp buy some bolusses to cure scarlet rot n go to the cave where you get the talisman from (cant remember what its called but its in caelid). Sprint through ignore everythin. Buff what you can go in summon your wolves, theyll take all the aggro n you can atk. Be mindful of the second 1 spawning but the first should be dead by then. Not sure if it still works since i havnt played in a while but i did it with a level 1 wretch and a club with no armour, just the flask and the lvl 5 wolves, and if you do it too, you just got a 20% increase in runes gg quick noe: Ithink imissed a tomb, ithe the 1 in caelid gives 5&6 you get the 4 from somewhere else. Either that or if you run through far enough you can get the 4/5and 6 from there, but like i said its a while since ive done it, but since i did it the first time, i did it with every character i started.

If you go up to the Church of the Plague, and head towards the death bird's location (killing the rock throwing troll along the way), you can safely rock sling it to death from up there. Credit goes to the poster above this named akechijubeimitsuhide

One maybe one or two kills of the dragon is enough to level up and kill Godrick. Then do the Varre quest line to get to Mogwyn's Palace, then do the rune farm there by jumping off the world edge for all the runes you ever need. No disrespect but honestly if you do that, you might be missing the point of the game because using skill to fight these bosses is the true joy of a souls game. I know "blah, blah blah, that's what my kids say.

I wouldnt bother with the gold fowl foot. If you account for the time it takes to gather the materials for them, and crafting them. Those minutes can be spent just doing normal runs

Is anyone having trouble at the 15:34 mark where you need to quit as soon as it hits 100% on the menu? It's either putting me at the roundtable or at the same grace I'm trying to leave from. Hopefully someone has tips for me. I've been trying this for 2 hours now and no luck.
