I got 3 brand new units and after some time or when I switch them on they smell terrible for a couple of minutes any suggestions?
I’m also 40+ years in HVAC & have come full circle … back on the tools now and loving my new life at…. Mitsubishi 😀
Thank you
Brazing without nitrogen flow?
Lots of talking but not too many facts regarding the 2 units.
100kWh is less than a week's consumption. And it's kWh not kW/h.
I heard that the AY is poorer quality than the AP. What do you think about this, can you confirm it?
Its the same unit, literally a different cover ;)
Brilliant review, my man. I'll be getting the MSZ-DW 3.5 KW myself, looks lovely, fits right into my place, thank you!
Do you think Toshiba seiya is good ac
orrrr hear me out,,, basic knowledge here, get 2 fans, put them both on the windowsill 1 facing out the window and the other facing in the window, that way youre taking the hot air out and blowing fresh cool air in. works perdect for me when its at 26+
😮 This is new I will try it, but won't you get all sticky?
Can you review ln60
sure can
Is daikin sensira ftxf better then Mitsubishi electric hr series
In my opinion , its not, HR is better
Thx
This is a really informative video, what network provider do you use the calls are very clear, Also what website do you use for getting those certificates from, my last ones I got from ebay?.
Great content as usual! I’ve been watching a lot of your videos since my Mrs left me, she took the house and kids but learning from your channel has really taught me a lot, so thank you!
your welcome craig, stay strong
I like daikin because I support Man City, they both wear sky blue I like turtles Interesting comparison The manufacturers have definitely improved lately, I speak to them all often! I like turtles Keep up the good work outspoken engineer! Turtles Which unit do you prefer to install ? Which is easier to work on? Which unit is best for the turtles ?
Do you fill out the log books in crayons
Just reposting my original question as it seems ‘the outspoken engineer’ deleted it.. Out of interest, how have you bypassed the privacy laws with this content? You don’t advise the help desk workers that you are recording the conversations and you are publishing their names and voices without their permission?
Hello Campbrll, all manufacturers, have invited us to there offices following these video for a "day in the life", if you look at our channel you can find the Mitusbishi Electric one.
Pretty weird behaviour if you ask me Is this bloke paid to be an “engineer” or content creator?
Hey, im an engineer 15 years going strong, although my hands are much "softer" these days
All that information is in the install manual, engineers should take more responsibility rather than blaming technical for information they have in front of them
Fantastic, now you need to convince the installers to operate the system as you like. 😅
Not working for me. My unit's IP is 192.168.11.1/network D:
i added the Samsung air conditioner to the smart things app, but the air conditioner says the device is off. the AC will not respond if i hit the power icon
Nice information, Thanks Question and sorry if it's a clueless one, does ducted AC bring in fresh air from the outside world and if no is there a way to do that, I mean bringing fresh air from the outside world into the rooms of the house, Thanks again
there, isnt... the filter son ducted units arent suitable for the filtering.. in addition you will be drawing in hot air during the summer. You could get a small MVHR unit (Blauberg) and pass the air into the unit
Easy when you know how! Thanks for the video, lots of annoyance relived after finding you video😊
If you are comparing terms in a YT short, please give visual examples of what you mean. Wall acne has no meaning in my brain besides your face saying it.
excellent, thank to your effort
Thank you for the introduction to ducted systems!
What are the upcoming trends and technology of Mep hvac design that will be helpful for engineers to learn and grow in career exponentially without being stuck at mediocrity at job workplace..
hi, great video, thanks! Another question, how would a ducted unit cope with rooms on different floors? Is there a pressure issue?
All grills have to be on the same floor, one unit is unable to supply multiple floors
Would you do a video on the options for the actual ducting itself? Insulation options, material choices etc? Also what about integrating fresh air via an MVHR unit like the Americans do (or not)?
I like what heatgeek promote and intend to apply as much of what they teach into my self build install. But i have two issues/concerns. 1. Following heatgeeks own videos on comparing a highly efficient gas boiler 90% vs an ashp scop 4, the running costs based on my accurate heat loss survey, the saving was only £220 per year. The higher price of an ashp service in my area means half of that saving is lost, so over 10 years it would be £1100 saved. 2. I'd like to install an ashp, but the £7500 grant is being absorbed by the installer and not received by the home owner and it feels corrupt. To have an ashp fitted to a new build plant room only, the quotes for parts and labour was 16 to 18 grand vs a gas boiler at just under 10 grand. £8000 difference. Yes i would be eligble for a £7500 grant to bring the ashp price down to lets say 10 grand matching the gas install, but both installs were 5 to 6 days work. The ashp and components are around 3k more than gas, that that should make the total 13k, not up to 18k. When questioning why the quotes are so high, I'm told that the MCS grant paperwork takes up so much time that they need to charge more, or, it needs to cover all the training costs for the ashp and if you dont like it then fit it yourself, you do the training, we will simply find customers who will pay 18k and recognise our worth. This seems like a poor attitude. Any installer also has to pay for their gas training but each customer shouldnt cover the cost of all the installers training on each job. This is clean new build, plant room only install and not a huge job.
My thoughts exactly.. not with heat geek, but in general. AIR TO AIR FOR THE WIN :)
@theoutspokenengineer thanks for the reply. With air to air, whats used to heat the domestic hot water?
@@handle1196 Daikin do a heat pump hot water cylinder... a packaged unit :)
Pound land rod stewart
lame
Sorry, but this is driving me nuts… do the AY15 and AY20 look the same? Can somebody confirm? Cause some images show a slit in the front (like the thumbnail) and some don’t…
EXACTLY THE SAME :)
@@theoutspokenengineer Thank you 🙏
you say you should not connect it to an M series multi split, but you do not explain why not. Why not?
I'm sorry; I was just watching. I would like to explain how heat pumps work below zero C. This is because Celsius is how we measure temperature, which is based on the freezing point of water. This does not represent the amount of energy there is. To measure the energy, we use Kelven; at 0c this is 273.15 Kelven or 1.047567262332 x 10-24 watt-hour. There is still energy, but you will have to process more air to get the energy you want compaierd to higher temperatures.
Hi, Thanks for the useful video! I have a question: When I try in the timer to create a new season the app crashes with a popup showing "unexpected error". I also tried through the web with same result. It's only me, or does it happen to more people? Thanks again!
Am I the only one to think you are being a bit ironic?
Toshiba haori or mitsubishi ay
Mitsubishi Electric AY
Panasonic, Daikin Mitsubishi are f ugly
Not going to happen.
What is better, the Zen (EF), the LN, or the Daikin Stylish?
If price is the same, and power is the same... which would you recommend more EF or AY series?
EF
can someone tell me why the page where you have to insercect your network password isn't working? i have tried several times but the page cannot be found i'm sorry for grammatical issues but i'm an italian 14 years old that is trying to install an air conditioner for his disabled dad thanks
after the ip address put /network like this -> 192.168.11.1/network
is there a module to allow you to connect the aircond unit to internet by ethernet cable ? (not wireless but wired)
Thank you so much for a very clear video. I love people like you who just make it simple. The only part that didn’t work for me is the last part where it says no Internet connection and you say to put in the IP address but when I do that, nothing happens, so I’m still stuck.
thank you for the feedback :) when you put the ip address in try put /network after it. like - 192.168.11.1/network hope this helps
@@theoutspokenengineer Thanks so much for this video, like the comment above I got stuck with "page not found" but after adding network all is now sorted.
Nice video. I have an issue with trying to add my existing AC unit to my account. It "fell off" the network recently and I've not been able to re-add it. It's seen by my LAN (has an IP address) and is seen as being "nearby" when in the ONECTA app, but won't actually add to my cloud account. there's a period of time/delay whilst it checks the time and date. then asks me for the timezone. I set that - it then attempts to add to the cloud, but then fails after about 5 minutes. I've tried lots of different things, including placing the unit in the DMZ of my network. Any ideas, please?
Just to clarify the unit(s) I'm referring to: Outdoor unit RXM50R2V1B Indoor unit FBA50A2VEB9
Have you tried doing a hard reset on the system ? you can do this by finding the isolator near the condenser and switching it off for 30 seconds
@@theoutspokenengineer I've done that. Turned it off at the breaker. I'll give it another go later. It's weird - it's on my network. I can see it has an ip address and I can see my network logs and the device calling out to the Daikin cloud, but it doesn't seem to be able to negotiate membership. Daikin tech support seem focussed on me changing my wifi settings, but I'm not sure that's the problem as the unit is on the network already.
I have the AP version in 2kw. It’s very noticeable how much more compact it is compared to the 2.5. And only .5kw less capacity.
100% , I prefer the 2kw, so much smaller.. "the smallest unit on the market"
In your experience which hotel has the cleanest AC?
Oh my!
About the unit settings. They have a min/max temp. Do I understand correctly that that is then the temperature bandwith for 'auto' mode? I would like for the AC to cool to a certain temp, but not heat up to it (if it drops below). Setting the mode to 'cooling' doesn't do the trick because I want the AC to ventilate (fan mode) whenever it's not cooling.
Unfortunately units cant do this anymore this if to meet energy efficiency regulations. If you want our unit to switch to fan after the unit got to temperature then you need to switch it to fan only . Hope this helps
