GCO - Game Creation Organization
GCO is a South Dakota State University Student Organization dedicated to Video Game Creation in order to enrich the academic experience of members involved in a fun, creative environment. Content such as gameplay demos, tutorials, and Let's Plays with a unique perspective will be posted here.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. You can find links to download our games in the descriptions of the game demos. You can also find project code and occasionally the source code of our games in the tutorial videos.

Unfortunately not. I don't think tha there's a proper template on the internet@@africantrenor
I believe those are in nightfox's lib

Hi, i just got a problem. I installed devkit pro 3.0.3 and it doesn't have the grit folder anymore... It has a grit.exe... what should i do now?

when i go to Tools>Make , there is no make button , and i cant run it either ,what can i do? i would apreciate your response because i want to make ds games so bad *.-.*
You could do this: devkitpro.org/wiki/editors/Programmer%27s_Notepad DevKitPro has a tutorial on how to add the make function manually.
Does this work in 2020?
It should, there is a bit of a different installation program, (Originally using SourceForge, and now using GitHub) but if you do as he does, it should work the same.

@@tebasvshd I did not make the tutorial, however, this (github.com/jdriselvato/NDS-Development) is a very good (/ much better/ resource for learning to make DS games. I will warn you though, making ds games is definetly not for beginners. You need a very good understanding of C, Makefile and devkitnds. If you have any questions feel free to ask me on discord (Hugo4IT#7278)
@Hugo4IT Yep, I study video game programming in college. And I have made some simple games for Gamecube and Windows using C/C++. And this summer I wanted to make my own game for Nintendo DS and now I'm learning how to. Thank you very much :D

What R4 cards are supported? Hello world NDS works fine in the emulator but corrupts my R4 GOLD pro. UPDATE: it was the SD card. The hello world example works. I do have a new issue, after installing the development software, kaspersky virus checker removed some files.
False positive. Wanna know why? devkitPro is open source. It uses open source libraries. Viruses also use open source libraries since a malware developer usually just wants a quick buck, so developing a whole library by themselves is way too much work. Antivirus companies know that viruses use open source libraries, so they look for those, because in their eyes consumers (us) do nothing but religiously worship closed source software made with closed source libraries and download malware. If you use a modern version of windows, use defender. People say it's bad but it does its job very well. Together with some common sense, like not clicking on shady links, you'll be fine.

Please do! These tutorials are really helpful. I'm having a problem though. I'm trying to create the .img .map and .pal files, but Convert_Backgrounds.bat only returns the .img file. Hello, I've been watching your videos lately to learn DS Programming. I have an issue when I integrated the sounds. It will only play less than a second of the WAV file and that is it. Did you run into this issue when you developed thisl?

+GCO - Game Creation Organization I was working more at this and I found the solution. It was because my Desmume framerate was not limited. I changed this to limited and now the sound effect plays.
is the magic folder a folder that is brought into the project directory? or is it just a folder that is linked to the project and not actually brought in?
