I dont recall having the Emergency figures, though that truck feels really family. I collected ALL of the Mego heroes, PoTA, and Star Trek figures and playsets. I did have the S.W.A.T. figures and their truck, I also had Starsky & Hutch with the car(naturally). I had a Universal Monsters & Wizard of Oz set as well. Were they LJN or Mego? Did someone do a Waltons line? I really remember having their truck.

These Sideshow figures were great place holders back in the day until Neca knocked them out of the park with their own figures. I really hope Neca brings us at least The Metaluna Mutant, Mole Man, robe version of the invisible man, and I would be really satisfied with the line.

Steve Austin could only lift the engine block with his bionic right arm. His left arm was never bionic. In the show he had a bionic left eye, a bionic right arm and 2 bionic legs. To have the bionic right arm on the figure rotate so that he could lift the engine block with the left arm was plain silly.

If you want to just have one figure, you could buy a first edition, and just buy the second editions right arm loose.

The molds were pretty good in terms of details but as you said the arms and hands were in a fixed position that did not worked too well.

A couple of minor corrections. Boris Karloff didn't play Frankenstein , Colin Clive did. Karloff played the monster. The plaques on the figure stands are naming the films, not the characters . The Creature from the Black Lagoon was also known as the Gillman. For the Bride, the actor's last name is pronounced Lancaster, not "chester". Noter Dam is pronounced Notra Dom. Not trying to be difficult, just striving for accuracy.

I still have an original figure. It's all there, and everything still works, but I do have a repro box for him, as my original box perished long ago.

I had the Rocket/Lab set. It was a great toy to play with. Very high quality. Since it was about the same size of GI Joe, I sometimes "crossed universes" lol! Thank you for the review.

For those wondering how series 5 seemed like it was in two sets (the recently late Virgil being released separately from the Macho Man Randy Savage figure with jump action, IRS, the Model Rick Martel and Skinner, and the fourth Hulk Hogan figure - punch action and sans shirt), I think the former set was of wrestlers who were phasing out, whereas the latter set was of wrestlers who were very prominent in the WWF in 1993 (where the first set was released as early as January 1993, whereas the later set was released around May 1993). Next, for those wondering why I only said *these* wrestlers’ names, I purposely left out / omitted the remaining four figures, from the initial set, as I only wanted to say my *favourites’* names.

I only had the little raft set with "Matt" and "Becky" as a kid, regardless it was a loved Bathtub toy. My little sister had this My Little Pony seahorse thing that lived in a clamshell that suction cupped onto the tile. I would sometimes pretend it was a monster that Matt and Becky had to escape from or figure out a way to destroy.

  • @johnwild8336

I'd try sent free dryer sheets. Put in sealing container with the sheets. Seal it up. Replace dryer sheets weekly. Leave in container until smoke smell is gone.

I loved this show when i was a child in the 70's. For christmas one year, my parents got me the Emergency Rescue truck, the accesory pack, and the Roy figure. He looked more like John and i assumed the package was mislabeled and i refered to him as John. I now know that he was in fact, Roy, from this video. That was almost 50 years ago. By, the way, i have a twin brother and he got the police car, accesorie, and figure for the tv show " The Rookies."

Although not as fancy or as widely desirable as vintage GI Joe, Sgt. Rock certainly makes for an affordable nostalgia fix today. Back then my mother bought me these when money was tight, and in their simple charm I like them as much as the Joe's.
