Well, also as a Russian with Ukrainian roots, I do not believe that Russian language defines belonging to a nation and a country. There are just as many Russian speakers living outside of Russia, including all post-Soviet countries, including Ukraine. Russian is a universal means of communication and a perfect language for all of us to understand all this Soviet hangover, devastation and atmosphere represented in Stalker.

I also think you misinterpreted the Monolith faction. When the game was created, there were no Russian zombies on the agenda. Monolith is more of an allusion to Islamic fanatics and terrorists who do namaz, worshipping a stone, and are willing to thoughtlessly fight and die for their religion.

I can assume that the Russian government at one point became angry at the West because the West refused to admit Russia into the European Union and NATO. After that there was all this Russian jealousy towards Ukraine on the grounds of Ukraine's European integration into the EU. But this is just my personal opinion. I myself would damn well like Russia and Ukraine to become part of the European Union and NATO

Installed this and just finished the swamp the fastest I've ever done it on master. Honestly I'm kinda bummed out. No stashes is a weird decision for a stalker game, and the decision to give infinite carry weight despite the lack of loot on enemies is a weird choice. It feels like this mods real purpose is to focus on the faction war system, and by focus I mean go shoot. No need explore, just go to war. I'll stick with it since I just did a run of Radiophobia 3 and Gunslinger CoP, and maybe it'll change my mind after some more time, but these things really bug me. I feel like I'm just playing AO lite with cheated carry weight and ignoring stashes.

I LOVE kingdom come deliverance! One of my favorite hardcore RPG's to date as well. Nd it sucks more people don't look at it as the masterpiece it actually is. Mostly because its super hard, it doesnt hold your hand and its got little nuance things that make it beautifully jank sometimes. Like the stealth mechanics lol. Bro being a theif in that game is still my favorite thing to do because the game just sucks so bad as a stealth game and I tend to have one of a kind moments where I land myself in jail for breaking into some ones house, doing everything right and still getting caught. Im not welcome at any of the major kingdoms lol. I gotta sneak in at night and try to steal stuff to get by. Nd ill always remember the night we had drinking and banging whores with the priest in that town. To give a hung over improvised sermon the next morning to keep the town folk from hanging you both. lol some truly awesome moments. Some good twists in the story. and a excellent little cliff hanger to end on.

I think mutant spawns might be related to difficulty, been playing the mod on normal difficulty and the mutants only seem slightly more numerous than vanilla.

They must have nerfed mutants in radiophobia 3 cuz they've been pretty manageable for my first playthrough with the mod which was a relief. Played a quarter of the game with Xpress last year cuz of this vid and now I'm gonna complete it with radiophobia 3 since I was initially attracted to the Anomoly/Gamma experience when I heard about stalker and personally want a taste of that sooner then later lol, the animations, graphics and atmosphere is insane and this is already the best shooter I've ever played, thx for the great video this really helps with getting into this trilogy! (here's hoping dead sky releases by the time I finish cuz I'm all about these wild card options)

Sure, but they're targeting Stalker 2 for CONSOLES. This has worried me from the off. I'm expecting Metro difficulty not Stalker difficulty. I'm expecting Metro in many regards, no bad thing, the Metro games are SUPERB Narrative Shooters but Stalker is, at its heart, a Survival Shooter not a Narrative Shooter. That's why Anomaly and the corresponding modpacks that were built on it are so insanely popular and successful. Gamma and EFP are simply the best single player Survival Shooters ever created. As for Stephens, I don't have much time for him anyway. Not the first NPC take he's had. The personification of the "access" game commentator.

Let's be fair to the Xbox Series X, it's PLENTY more powerful than the average PC seen in Steam's hardware survey for June 2024 in GPU and CPU by about 50% in each, not to mention that it's not stuck with 8gb of VRAM, its 16gb of shared system ram is close in application to 12 gb graphics cards. With that out of the way we have seen absolutely zero evidence that STALKER 2 is going to be like Metro or Call of Duty or whatever game people don't want it to be. I have no idea where these myths are starting, but they're unfounded. If the trailers having cinematics is the evidence being pointed to, then I'd just dismiss these claims as people looking for something to complain about. This video is about how pretty much universally everyone who played the demo at GameFest reported things that sounded exactly like what S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is. I understand that many players love Anomaly, GAMMA, EFP, but people who played them and skipped the originals seem to forget that they're not OG S.T.A.L.K.E.R.. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was always a narrative-driven immersive sim shooter with horror and survival elements. Call of Chornobyl just took the game's mechanics and its world and turned it into an open-world playground after which Anomaly and its mod packs honed in on the survival and tactical elements.

There's very specific reasons developers gear their games to the console market and it has less to do with hardware and much more to do with access to the far bigger and more casual market. As to the OG Stalker vs modpack Stalker debate, it's old and tired. Truth is there's room for all. I played all the OG Stalker games before people had barely heard of them, back when a brick of a pc could barely even run them. They were lightning in a bottle and it's VERY doubtful it can be done again. Expectations should be managed for Stalker 2, that's all i'm really saying.

Hoping for a GOTY masterpiece is a massive expectation, but expecting a game that is true to the STALKER identity is a modest expectation. If one starts expecting a bad product or something that isn't faithful to the title's identity, I believe that's where one enters negativity and it's just as harmful (if not worse) as being far too optimistic.

Excellent video, but you missed the point with the cannibals in the governmental bunker. It is not your fault, of course, since you are not a native speaker. In Ukrainian language there is a common expression "людожерський режим", which means "a men-eating regime". This epithet is often used to descibe a tyranny, especially if it relies on repressions to preserve its power. A4 Games simply made it literal.

I'd really love a deep dive on your opinion on that one game Stalcraft. I messed around with it for a while as a f2p player, but as I read more into it I kinda was concerned with how a Russian game blatantly stole assets, names and stories from a Ukrainian game. You seem to know a lot about the history and culture around stalker, the game devs and the Ukraine war. I'm really curious about how Stalcraft ties into that, and if GSC has said anything about the game, I looked around a bit but didn't find much. The whole thing kinda just rubs me the wrong way ya know?

As someone from the Eastern part of Europe i despise the changes to reflect the war, especially because in our language, we have the pronounciations more closer to the Russian one so it felt more homey to me. For example Ukrainians have Kyiv, while Russians call it Kiev and we Czechs call it Kyjev. Even tho it's a minor thing, i hate old games being touched for newer audiences.

The english language is in gamma too. I do however understand that the arguement is keep the characters in their native language and either learn the language yourself or be immersed by the extra isolation you feel (which is a horrid way to plan a video game to make money but ok). Now I also want to point out how stalker will probably adjust based on the first games, gamma expectations, and modern trends. Firstly the quick kill times and immersive gameplay seem to both be there. I would expect difficulty to be tweaked like a modern game in a COD hardcore playlist so faster kill times still. I would also expect the system that get expanded toward gamma designs, like medecine and food but have a much more streamlined approach (probably a lot less info or options). But I would also expect the story to be improved in presenration which is very unlike gamma. I think the most influence gamma will have is using systems to immerse the player.

I would not recommend Gunslinger for a first time playthrough. The reason it's not very faithful to the original weapons list is partially because it's missing half the original weapons due to being unfinished. No F2000, no PKM, no SPAS. Zulu's PKM is just an AK with 'some' PKM stats. Burers and Controllers are also ridiculous in gunslinger, to the point that there were sub-mods made to nerf them. I also don't recommend ABR CS... Considering you seem to want people to have relatively faithful playthroughs, ABR CS doesn't fit. ABR CS removes stashes entirely (a traditional aspect of stalker), removes needing to find usb's, and gives you infinite carry weight. It also changes the weapon pool a ton, which you critique Gunslinger for.

Just buy a steam deck, once you buy the deck your switch will become redundant. I went through 3 switches from 2017 due to wear and tear, loved it. Was my main console. Had 1567 hours on monster hunter rise, once I got a steam deck I realised that it's the same as switch but the freedom to play and buy any game you want. Buy a deck you won't regret it.

@@stadia4915 nah, moore's law still alive, and 2 years of existence. I'm spectacular that when games mostly rely on heavy graphics and optimization is a bitch on handheld because duh is a PC game(s). It's better to wait than sooner until it powered by a budget laptop that runs decently well especially the battery life and I don't care the arm chip is not yet ready for the PC market is still undercook especially nvidia and amd still developing, I mean Switch 2 is on the horizon until Nintendo finally announced in like 2025 and don't me stated on any other PC handhelds on the market (but the legion go is better than ally).

@@jonnelgabatan7369 bruh I literally play absolutely anything I want on the deck, there's no possible way you could convince me the switch outmatches it, you can literally emulate all switch games in 60-90 fps, emulate most consoles up to the ps3/xbox 360 era, also you get the advantage of both playstation and xbox exclusives, playing elden ring shadows of the erdtree at 60 fps handheld is unmatched, and the switch could never compete.

Excellent video, but you missed the point with the cannibals in the governmental bunker. It is not your fault, of course, since you are not a native speaker. In Ukrainian language there is a common expression "людожерський режим", which means "a men-eating regime". This epithet is often used to descibe a tyranny, especially if it relies on repressions to preserve its power. A4 Games simply made it literal.

I'd really love a deep dive on your opinion on that one game Stalcraft. I messed around with it for a while as a f2p player, but as I read more into it I kinda was concerned with how a Russian game blatantly stole assets, names and stories from a Ukrainian game. You seem to know a lot about the history and culture around stalker, the game devs and the Ukraine war. I'm really curious about how Stalcraft ties into that, and if GSC has said anything about the game, I looked around a bit but didn't find much. The whole thing kinda just rubs me the wrong way ya know?

As someone from the Eastern part of Europe i despise the changes to reflect the war, especially because in our language, we have the pronounciations more closer to the Russian one so it felt more homey to me. For example Ukrainians have Kyiv, while Russians call it Kiev and we Czechs call it Kyjev. Even tho it's a minor thing, i hate old games being touched for newer audiences.

The english language is in gamma too. I do however understand that the arguement is keep the characters in their native language and either learn the language yourself or be immersed by the extra isolation you feel (which is a horrid way to plan a video game to make money but ok). Now I also want to point out how stalker will probably adjust based on the first games, gamma expectations, and modern trends. Firstly the quick kill times and immersive gameplay seem to both be there. I would expect difficulty to be tweaked like a modern game in a COD hardcore playlist so faster kill times still. I would also expect the system that get expanded toward gamma designs, like medecine and food but have a much more streamlined approach (probably a lot less info or options). But I would also expect the story to be improved in presenration which is very unlike gamma. I think the most influence gamma will have is using systems to immerse the player.
I mean stalker can have quick kill times, clear sky does, at least in what i’ve played of it so far.
I would not recommend Gunslinger for a first time playthrough. The reason it's not very faithful to the original weapons list is partially because it's missing half the original weapons due to being unfinished. No F2000, no PKM, no SPAS. Zulu's PKM is just an AK with 'some' PKM stats. Burers and Controllers are also ridiculous in gunslinger, to the point that there were sub-mods made to nerf them. I also don't recommend ABR CS... Considering you seem to want people to have relatively faithful playthroughs, ABR CS doesn't fit. ABR CS removes stashes entirely (a traditional aspect of stalker), removes needing to find usb's, and gives you infinite carry weight. It also changes the weapon pool a ton, which you critique Gunslinger for.

Just buy a steam deck, once you buy the deck your switch will become redundant. I went through 3 switches from 2017 due to wear and tear, loved it. Was my main console. Had 1567 hours on monster hunter rise, once I got a steam deck I realised that it's the same as switch but the freedom to play and buy any game you want. Buy a deck you won't regret it.
@@stadia4915 nah, moore's law still alive, and 2 years of existence. I'm spectacular that when games mostly rely on heavy graphics and optimization is a bitch on handheld because duh is a PC game(s). It's better to wait than sooner until it powered by a budget laptop that runs decently well especially the battery life and I don't care the arm chip is not yet ready for the PC market is still undercook especially nvidia and amd still developing, I mean Switch 2 is on the horizon until Nintendo finally announced in like 2025 and don't me stated on any other PC handhelds on the market (but the legion go is better than ally).
@@jonnelgabatan7369 bruh I literally play absolutely anything I want on the deck, there's no possible way you could convince me the switch outmatches it, you can literally emulate all switch games in 60-90 fps, emulate most consoles up to the ps3/xbox 360 era, also you get the advantage of both playstation and xbox exclusives, playing elden ring shadows of the erdtree at 60 fps handheld is unmatched, and the switch could never compete.

oh ok sense its soaked in the stalker dna i presume there is gonna be progression and gameplay tweaks in the game aka ( PLAY AT UR OWN PACE) also i dont mind the gameplay being diffecault i can tweak the progression and i know alot of people do i love the anamoly play
