I had a quick question. How did the adapter fit, because the adapter ring for the 1.33x fits a front diameter of 82mm and the front diameter of the Remus is 80mm. Did it still screw in anyways? Was planning on doing this so I’d appreciate a response. Thanks

@@jimbo_g the Remus has a 77mm filter thread, and the Moment has a 67mm rear - but it comes with stepup rings, specifically a 67-77mm. Put that on the Moment, and screw it onto the Remus.

I've been experimenting with this vertical look I noticed when recording 17:9 you get a 4:3 look when doing this. Almost 1:1 square in open gate. Nice work

That's fun. I use the sirui 1.25 adapter that has a very useful button for unlocking and alignment. A great look with a number of lenses like my 50 milvus amd 55 canon fd/komodo combo. Really narrows focus plane

I have a Z Cam F6 and I was using the 27mm Nanomorph at T4, I had two amaran 200Xs outside of the window/sliding glass door pushing level into the room, and I added a good amount of haze, then color graded it with Dehancer... That's about it I guess.

Oh wow, thank you. Well haze makes a big difference in production value. Plus I'm shooting it anamorphic. I tried to color grade it to look like film and a little mysterious... I don't know what else to tell you. Thank you though.

You multiply their squeeze factors, not add. 1.5 x 1.33 = 2x squeeze.

For instance the squeeze factor of a spherical lens is 1x. If you use a 1.33x anamorphic adapter, you multiply 1.33 x 1 = 1.33x. This time my taking lens is 1.5x and my adapter is 1.33x. 1.5 x 1.33 = 2x.

Hi thanks, great video! I have a question though. For Rokinon lenses you said the focus throw was too short and for these Meike you said is too long or longer than you're used to. And I'm just a beginner, so I'm curious, what would be the ideal number of degrees for focus throw in cine lenses?

Hey Hector. I would say if you're going to be pulling focus by hand, then I'd want about 270° give or take. But I use a focus motor to pull focus now, so it really doesn't matter as much as it used to. You can map the starting and end points to the motor, then it is basically the same with every lens.
