looks good.
Thanks!
My boat up here in Alaska (Exxon Valdez) needs a new anchor. How much $$$ do you want for your C10 anchor? I'm drifting, please hurry! ZZZZZzzzzzz
I would probably radio to Captain Sig Hanson he should be able to locate you. :-) This sheet metal boat anchor is probably best staying with me.
That's a pretty good repair job my friend! You should be proud of the work you did. I sure would be.
Hey thanks Mr Paul
There supposed to be a large o-ring on the torus cover. In the video I saw you removed it but didn’t saw you put a new one.
Probably didn't show it. But it was replaced with a new one
Wow, back 2 the Cadillac! PTL Yes misery loves company? I too hooked up a cheap oil pressure gauge with the plastic hose. It was mounted on the left wheel well. It worked fine for a couple of years then one hot summer day I went for a spin to the local mall, 2 miles away. After shopping I came out to find a sizable pool of liquid on the pavement under the left door hinge area. Thinking I couldn't be me, as the AC dripper is on the right side I flashed up my 6 liter 1981 Eldorado. Then hell broke loose, all the lifters were clanging/ticking like crazy. Dash had the oil pressure warning light glaring. So I high tailed it back home. I pulled into the driveway and found there was no oil. So I refilled the crankcase and hard plumbed a proper oil pressure gauge. It's happy now at 35 psi.
It's amazing how fast that little line can release that much oil so fast! Glad to hear you Ole girl is still purring away. Let's hope we don't have any videos of low oil pressure issues 😬
i love the purr of the 390. Glad to see Lil Debby moving along,
I have a '62 390 that had a similar leak on the oil pressure guage line
nice to hear her run every time now.
Did you see the 62 that theTravisb got?
We have not! Have to take a look!
I'm glad I found your channel again. My grand daughter deleted you when she was playing with my phone. I've learned alot by watching you and your brother work on Dabby. I have a 61 except it doesn't have air. . I'm just getting ready to rebuild the engine which I've only did one and that was back in high school in 77 . So I'm a little scared but I'm like you I really want to take her out on the road. Thank you for the video and your time.
Bro put an idlebrock on it! Please lol
Depending on the type of ring, the compression will go up during break in. Glad to see her cruising around.
Just cast rings.
If memory serves me correct, we used a blazer tank in the rear. It fit very well in an 8 foot 70 c10. Or it may have been a suburban tank. That was 20 years and a dozen vehicles ago though.
Get BACK to the Cadillac, MACK!
That's a good project for you guys. I hope it generates a lot of views. G body cars are pretty popular right now. Just remember, wagon frames are different than the el Camino frames in those years. The el Camino has a 9 inch longer wheel base. Do they still do the quad city tug of war up there? Last one I was at was in 93 I think. Fun times!
Yep should be coming up in a few weeks.
ZZZZZzzzzz Je ne comprends pas! Ou est le Cadillac, s'il vous plait? Est-ce que tu bois de la biere avec Professeur Matt? ZZZzzzz
caballo diablo = devill horse
bitch lol. she just doesn't stop
Old Tom was thrilled to have it back. Love the glasses. That cracked me up. You guys did a great thing, and a fantastic job doing it. Mad respect for not smashing that hot garbage pile of poop carb.
ZZZZZzzzzz Is that Rod Serling standing on the corner at 8:50? ZZZZZzzzzz
I wouldn't try to start the engine until I could be able to fix the oil lines and put some more oil in her to keep from damaging the engine
Called the accelerator pump a power valve.. 😂
Yep! 🤣
Well at least you'll know where you came from and where you're going.
Damn, get her back on the road and this is how she treats ya
Not once was a timing light use. Blame carbs typjcal "old school guys"
See other videos. Was setup with vac gauge and timing light. 🙂 carb has seen it's day unfortunately. We will be getting another "used old" carb to part out and make this one right
Congratulations on getting her back on the road! yeah those original carbs are a pain in the ass, I had to finally get rid of mine and just go with an edelbrock. Way better performance out of them.
Way to go😅
I hate when people slather the rtv on. A little bit goes a long way. No torque specs? Go a quarter turn past snapped off. Looks like it's time for a carb upgrade. And a driver side brake light. She looks cool going down the road. l knew you guys would get it.
I think carbs are just your arch nemesis. You might need to do some searching for some old school test equipment out of a dealer to help set these old beasts. Glad to see you finally got it running. Now for the next project for you to stumble upon.
Bro I have an eidlebrock 1406 and it works great 👍🏼
mildly successful = synonymous with lil debbie. lol congrats on some wheel time. of course it was raining which means good luck in some circles. whats next for the ole girl?
She's going to need floors at some point! Haha
@@theholubproject3497 that'll be fun! the seats are bigger and heavier than some compact cars. keep em coming!
We're singing..."On The Road Again, I just Can't Wait to get On the Road Again" Where's Willie, Waylon and the Professor? Luckenbach, Texas maybe!
Bro what kind of transmission do you have and what fluid did you use
It's the jetaway 4 speed hydramatic Just used the Ole theisens auto trans fluid. 29.99 for a jug. 5qts I think in it
Glad to see lil Debby on the road! One heck of a journey! Very familiar exhaust note, just like rosies! (61 sdv)
What’s up!!!!
Congrats! Still waiting on my 390 to come back from the guy who's supposed to bore it 30 over. I have a '62 390 going into a '60 Cad
I know we're a complete 69 Cadillac Convertible is for around 3k is all there
Great Video 👌 I was in the Black Caprice that was cutting out real bad the first 2 burnout attempts lol. I had my nitrous armed, but the bottle was closed, so it was pulling 8 degrees of timing and adding 90lbs per hour of fuel with no extra air 😅
Hey, thanks, man! I tried to edit out the "oops" Haha, you have a sick ride!
We need more people like you! Good job guy!
Thank you
228000 miles of pulling good and forgot to ever change the fluid or filter , tranny lines blew 3 times and ran her dry , and she still got 163 miles to home after i knew she was gone ..am i close ? 😂
Lol I'm sure it went something like that.
Did it tell ya how hard life in the hood was ? 😅
🤣
I was just waiting for you to solve the junk door pins sagging , cause of those junk brass bushings or whatever there made of 😅
Its shaft month , 900 just for a billet one on a 6l80 ...then i discovered the steering shaft was going too ..
I got hacksaw , tig welder and a pile of cars for cutting whatever i wanta weld together on them ..what's the problem ..update time ..just copy a model thats close ..
For a second i thought i was back in our high school parking lot ..the awesome 1970's stylish cars were 10 years old , and affordable ..if you could repair them ..
Jettaway ? I had that problem a long time ago, with a special bellhousing i had on a built up c4 , a deep dish , bolted to a 351 cleveland , everything got out of hand after that
Wouldnt it have been easier to knot use junk collapsable lifters in the first place ? How does that effect global warming and wasted resources ? Global collapse is the new going green hidden agenda
There's a lot of facts in this very small statement.
I’ve got no clue what this was trying to say. Seems like a bunch of detail is missing. Selling something??
Not selling a thing. Just giving a visual presentation along with the part numbers so a person can do the job easily.
Cam phaser delete.
Its a ls thing , if you know you know ...just what the heck am i gonna do about updating the computer now ?
Hes saying you can put BETTER parts as in swapping them.. for better parts.
That’s because you don’t know anything about cars. It’s your lack of knowledge not his lack of explanation
Man, I sure do miss seeing those drag and drive events. Thank you for taking us along.
Nice!
nice sticker!
