I bought the game in early 2021 knowing about Joel's death and I still ended up dropping the game until summer of 2023. As a kid I looked at Joel as a hero because he did everything to protect Ellie, and now as a young adult it sent me into a mental crisis as I played the full second game.

Tears in my eyes. The story is such a masterpiece, both parts. I like the "simple" great story from part 1, but part 2 is so deep. I always thought I liked part 1 more, but now I know it was just because of the "sad" ending.

Love the parallels in the game. Joel kills the fireflies to save Ellie. Abby kills the WLFs to save Lev. Ellie tries to kill Joel’s murderer and her romance dies because of her trauma. Abby tries to kill her dad’s murderer and loses her partner because of the trauma of losing her father. Dina is pregnant with Jesse’s child. Mel is pregnant with Owen’s child. I’m sure there’s more but I can’t remember them rn

I'm late 30s and the last genuine, deep-down excitement I can remember with a game was Skyrim. Every day was new, every area was unique, every moment was fresh, I didn't care about the graphics really. I was in my early-ish 20s at the time, and a colleague of mine sat near me at the office was a gamer too and was playing it. The amount of days we had talking about it like "oh man I found this cave near X and inside were these vampires, and at the end you get this insane sword" or whatever, just sharing constant stories of stuff we stumbled on and found, combos that worked, new armour, whatever. I think back to it and there's a simple reality to it, for two reasons - one, it wasn't built with GAAS in mind, always online, none of that crap. It was "here's the game, go enjoy" and asked nothing else of it. Second, no KZreadrs ruining everything and no previews crap being shoved down our throats. KZreadrs for clicks and money ruin EVERYTHING, they always have to post "get this !n54n3 weapon fast!" clickbait crap, and there was basically none of that back in the day. Now it's everywhere. Endings get spoiled day of release, previews are basically a third of the game ruined already, you lose that sense of excitement when a game arrives because nowadys you feel like you've already played it due to so many previews everywhere shoved down our throats by KZreadrs and alike desperate for clicks for money.

this engine and gameplay are def still top tier for open world sandbox stealth. also they absolutely nailed the control scheme so gameplay feels fluid and smooth.

I played it, gameplay was very good but i was kinda diassapointed at mgsv due to reasons that could only be understood by persons who actually tried to go for platinum, too much stuff get's repeated. "AI extremely realistic"...bwaa. I could make an essay of why i think mgsv is not a masterpiece and way less good as some people may remember.

i played far cry 1 2 3 and recently i finished 4 , and now im playing FC5 and i gotta say i love it im having a blast. i cant watch the full video cause of spoilers but ill comeback for it once i beat the game :3 i like that there is no minimap, and enemy can really kill you in a gunfight. saving people and hiring people is good, guns for hire have different perks is also good :3 the only thing i think its missing is the skinning animation and also if the deputy could talk it would be so great :3 sorry for my bad english :3

The story, maps and grinding for resources are terrible. But the gameplay is good, although going in and out on a helicopter gets tedious.
