    I saw briefly that the “Ethernet” details on the dashboard for the station (ie not the AP) is blank. I have the same issue, the station isn’t connecting to my LAN. tried everything, different 24v injectors, cables, swapping them (Ethernet active when same device is in AP mode)…no joy. The connection between the devices is rock solid. Wondering if you have battled with the same issue, or, more likely what new and inventive way I have managed to screw up. Any thoughts?

    I've got the two devices connected to one another. But I'm confused what to do next? When i take the sexond unit, thats not plugged into the router, to my second home, how do i get the wifi going? Do i need to connect the second ac5 to a switch or access point?

  • @preciselyguessing
    @preciselyguessing4 ай бұрын

    Yes, you will need to have the transmit side connected to your router/modem and the receiving side will need to connect to an access point, they do not put out wifi on their own that you can just connect to from, if there is only one wired device it could be run straight off of the nano otherwise a switch is needed

    Fantastic. I’d be keen to know why you don’t use dynamic IP in the Network Management Settings. And why even after naming the SSID they still transmit a much longer name.

  • @preciselyguessing
    @preciselyguessing5 ай бұрын

    If you use a dynamic ip it is harder to find it later, there are advantages but setting it static makes trouble shooting esier at a later date, and im not sure about the name part, usually they only transmit what I have named them, maybe I we are looking at something differant

    My PC reads "not connected" under the ethernet settings. Could that be an IP issue? The port on my pc works fine with my other devices. I can pick up the wireless signal of the Loco, did the setup as per video but the SSID doesn't change it stays are device name/model number. I've reset the devices twice already but the Ethernet still reads "Not Connected"

  • @preciselyguessing
    @preciselyguessing6 ай бұрын

    Yes, it's possible that the ac picked up a differant ip already, try defaulting the nano station and then don't connect it to network untill you have found it, or hop on the wireless and find what ip it chose and put your computer on the same ip scheme

    Great video. I wish you could do one on the same radios but showing how to use the survey tool to see the other local radios and then reprogram the operating frequency. If you change the AP freq does it automatically program the station side or do you have to log into both to do so. I have 2 of these set up as a bridge approx. 200' apart and they drop out for a few minuets 3-4 times a day. I do know the area where I have them has a lot of other wireless stuff on the same property like 5 acer area in the city. I have looked for a lot of videos and have not really seen to many people troubleshooting on the propagation side of things.

  • @preciselyguessing

    I will try and make some time soon to do a video on that portion, you do have to manually change both sides but if you do the station side first then the ap side sometimes you get lucky and can do them both but otherwise you are walking around physically plugging in

  • @preciselyguessing

    Yes, I don't remember exactly but I believe it had bolts in the cover and the block and if you only pull the bolts out of the cover it is still wedged behind the pully or to tight against the cover, one of the two, either way it was worth the time to pull all bolts out of the pump and move it to the side then try and fight it, however I did not have to remove any power steering lines from it so I did not have to completley remove it from the vehicle, just from the block

  • @preciselyguessing

    Was there any damage to the bearings or engine? My water pump on my 2011 edge just failed a few days ago and we had coolant in the engine oil when we checked. We haven't drained it yet, to check for metal shavings but It was only driven about 1/4 mile after it started acting up, it was saying low engine pressure so im terrified that the bearings or engine are damaged. We had no signs of a coolant leak until it stalled. It still starts but we don't want to turn it on again and cause more damage.

  • @preciselyguessing
    @preciselyguessing10 ай бұрын

    The longer and more water depends on the damage, I definatly would not start it again untill all the water is out and it is fixed with new oil in, then I would run it for a little bit and do another oil change to make sure and flush out all the rest of the oil, I can't say for sure that it's going to be okay but as long as you are carful and don't try and start it or drive it anymore till it is fixed you will more than likely be okay

    @@preciselyguessing Wow, thank you so much for responding! 🥰 It happened on the freeway and we got off on the first exit (maybe 2 blocks/ a quarter mile) than we were pushed home. It didn't overheat and there was no smoke but I'm worried it might have been leaking coolant into the engine for a few days. It had been about a week since we checked our fluids and they were fine a week prior. This was a fear since we got the car, so we checked atleast once a week. Thank you for giving me some hope! We'll find out, once we get it taken apart and fluids drained I guess!

  • @preciselyguessing

    No if you have it wrong you have to reset it, it's fairly simple and nothing to worry about, there is a small reset button on the bottom, use a pin and you will press it, remove power, press the button, while holding button re-insert power, hold button for 10 more seconds, leave plugged in, repeat untill it resets, might time a minit or so to boot up after reset

    I just learned to weld myself, and I too started off watching just about every KZread I could find on the subject. But that only goes so far- it's great for general background theory and mechanics behind welding, but I would strongly suggest that you check out the local community colleges and/or trade schools- you might luck up like I did and find a "workforce" program that offers free welding instruction. It's one thing to "know" what to do with TIG based on what you get off KZread- it's another thing to understand "how" to do it, and that's where it helps having somebody actually show you, in person, how to do it properly. Otherwise, you're just going to develop bad habits.

    Cool looking printer. One thing to mention. It's always best to reslice a model for your particular printer rather than trying to use a G-Code that's been sliced for another printer. At best it's going to not be an ideal combination of settings and at worst you could end up crashing the printer physically into itself by sending it g code commands that it's not designed for.

    Had mine for almost 3 years now, and on that same harbor freight cart, and can't see why anyone would bolt it to the cart. I mean if you're moving it across a space where it could jump off that cart, I think you need to pick the welder up and carry it. But it's a great welder and has never let me down. As mentioned below, no thread tape or such on gas threads, and always wear a long sleeve shirt because one dip of the tungsten into the puddle like in your first weld there, and your arms will have an all day sunburn on them. Oh, and btw, I just laid an old road sign face down on a desk for my quick conductive welding table.
