    Hello How square is it ? For example should you recommend it to make a chessboard with end grain ? and still perfectly aligned ?

    I would paint the new cover. After watching your video, I now know how I am going to change my dust issues with my old Delta bandsaw, and it will have paint to match the rest of the saw.

    Excellent video Greg, thank you. One question, I need to also replace the top of the cabinet (before installing the new sink) which has delaminated and looks pretty bad due to water damage below the Formica top laminate. Do you have a video to do that?

    I got one and love it. Recommend you put threadlocker on the allen screws on the adjustment end as well as the spring-loaded adjustment pin in the back. They will be wanting to back out until you do.

  • @shwagonvids

    Do you have a part number for the adjustment pin you used?

  • @evanhawkins6073
    @evanhawkins6073Ай бұрын

    @shwagonvids My original allen screws backed out on me before I could put the threadlocker on. I called Harbor Freight, and they did not jave replacement screws, but I figured it out. The allen screws are M5 x 50, which you can pick up at Ace Hardware for about $1.79 apiece. The adjustment pin never got lost, but I do not know the part number for it.

    Hey Greg! Glad to see you on here and in CV! There's still a group of us coming for the annual CV trip at the end of the month. Charlie and myself are both thinking about getting property out there. Although he's thinking in town for the water and power and i would like to be further out. Thanks for the great videos and maybe we'll see you out there again sometime, for some prairie doggin!

    Yes, Gregg the cost for the system would be nice to know even if just an estimate, we have property out there also and are looking at adding a site for summer vacationing ourselves. Please keep the videos coming and you might want to add the name of the company that put in the system.

    I have this same table and love it, but I'd add one more step to the assembly process. Since it's made of MDF, I'd suggest coating all exposed MDF areas with a spray enamel clear. The exposed ends and bolt holes, such as on the fence boards, will eventually absorb humidity and swell. I took everything apart that needed coating, such as the miter slot guide and router base plate, taped off the Formica and sprayed the edges of the MDF where those parts fit in. Don't use a water-based urethane or any other water-based product to do this! The table is now properly sealed and should last for a very long time, but it would have been much easier to do had I done it from the start. This is the 3rd router table I've owned and it's the best, by far.

    Nice video, I see you had a Bosch 4100 I'm curious how it compares in power? As a hobbyist I've had several saws over the years from cabinet to small table tops. I've had the 4100 for several years and never had a power issue. I'm thinking of a saw stop but not sure how it would compare since the 4100 is rated up to 4hp. I know that 4hp may be arbitrary but it is what Bosch prints on the saw. Thanks!

    In your list of items used for your dust collection you have a Rockler swivel fitting - but when I watched your video I didn't see where you have it in place. Also, how long is your hose to the top saw guard port? Thanks!

    Really sweet modifications. I’m going to use your T-track idea. Their lift adjustment needs re-engineering… every time I need to change the height of the bit I’m so annoyed I have to unclamp the router and then re-clamp which makes micro adjustments very difficult. Great video man ❤

    Thanks for your video and for making and admitting your mistakes! Question #1: is that t-track a Bosch accessory or one that you fabricated? Question #2: I have a Metabo 2.25hp router. I'm thinking it will fit this table but what are your thoughts? Thanks again. I've been looking for a router table and this Bosch seems to be a good one for my diy needs.
