A great upgrade! I have some similar racks and love them. They're the most underrated shop upgrade you can do I think. And at today's lumber prices, they're probably cheaper than any DIY wood version!

Agreed. They're working well so far, although I have to admit that they're already full 😁

Looks good Greg! I’ve always thought these looked pretty useful. If you were planning on storing lots of 10 to 12 foot material I could see why you may want to spread them out, but I would have done just as you did myself.

Agreed. I'm considering putting some more in an unused outbuilding for longer lumber.

I took down my BORA racks. They didn't give enough space in between levels, nor did they offer enough distance from the wall. Also, the narrow arms seemed like a nice idea, but they just didn't give much in terms of support. Basically, each level gives you enough space for 5 high 4/4 hardwood, and 3 high 2-by style lumber. If I went above that, it became really tedious trying to get everything easily accessible. A good idea also, is to put some type of grip on the top of the arms. I use 2-sided tape, and some old 600grit sandpaper. It gave enough grip to keep wood from sliding too easily, and it didn't cause any harm to my lumber.

That's reasonable, there are certainly heavier duty racks out there but these work well enough for general shop duty.

I’ve been thinking about buying these or building my own. Just not sure if they are worth it or not

That's obviously a personal decision, but the Bora rack is cheap and easy enough to assemble and install. I prefer it to the wooden rack I had before.
