Interest in photography came late in my life. I began travelling and photographing places and people that were distant from the "modern" western way of life, following another, different, course. I am most excited by people, places and cultures that have not been overtaken yet by the homogeneity of the west. I love the color and texture of those places, the vitality of life and their rituals and symbolisms. Ι shoot what moves me; I shoot from my heart to tell the visual stories I love and care about, discovering what it means seeing rather than merely looking. For me photos, and more specifically people's photos, are emotional experiences. With my camera, I am searching to find not only what separates us from these people, but also what unites us.

Visited Yunnan in 2011 and stayed 5 weeks in Shangri La - such a beautiful area of China - people so friendly, scenery amazing. Would love to return but suffered with altitude sickness north of Lijiang, but this video holds so many memories.
I watched that show and the mountain at the background of the stage was the real one. The mountain was the landmark of Li Jiang. I really miss that place.

Η λίμνη Uzungöl που φαίνεται στο 15:10 λέγεται ελληνικά λίμνη Σαρώχω. Χρήσιμο, να διαβαστεί παράλληλα με το φωτογραφικό ταξίδι, το βιβλίο του Γιώργου Ανδρεάδη «Ελάτε μαζί μου στον Πόντο». Επίσης διορθώστε: στις πληροφορίες για τις μουσικές του βίντεο, το Kodesa (!) να γίνει Kontesa, «Κοντέσα Εστερχάζι» λέγεται το κομμάτι του Χατζιδάκι. Ευχαριστώ.

Τώρα διαβάζω site του Pontos news ότι λέγεται Σαράχο και ότι απ' το συγκεκριμένο χωριό κατάγονταν οι περίφημοι Σαρασίται, μια από τις πιο σημαντικές οικογένειες της Χαλδίας, όπου είχαν εγκατασταθεί τον 17ο αι. οι εκ Σαράχο-Σαράς καταγόμενοι, αρνούμενοι τον εξισλαμισμό. Οι πληροφορίες για τη μουσική μπαίνουν αυτόματα απ'το KZread.
Από 2.07 μέχρι 4.08 , παρουσιάζει τη Σινασό.
