Snorktastic - Snorkeling Adventures

Snorktastic - Snorkeling Adventures

Have you ever wanted to know exactly where to snorkel? I try to find the best beach snorkeling around. At every beach destination I travel to, and every Port I get off on from a Cruise Ship, I explore the seas and show you what I find.

Snorkeling is a great way to relax and chill, but finding good spots can be tough. Sometimes you may only have a few hours to spare at a port and would love to go in the water, but where and is it worth it.

I plan on Snorkeling at every port in the Caribbean to let you know the best places to snorkel, and which ones you can leave the gear on the ship and just grab a cocktail :)

Look at all my videos @Snorktastic

Also If you want the best deals on a cruise or my recommendations on which cruises are the best, hit me up.

  • @Snorktastic

    You can enter from the pier or straight from the beach. I entered from the beach, but you have to swim under the water obstacle course. You can also enter at the end of the pier which is where I filmed all the fish under the pier and was amazing! We loved this spot because the beach was a better beach than some in Cozumel and it still had some good snorkeling, but if you are just going for snorkeling watch the other videos I have on Cozumel

  • @Snorktastic
    @Snorktastic21 күн бұрын

    Yea it’s kinda tough to understand what you have to do, out side of the port where you get a taxi you tell them where you want to go. They will then ask you “do you have reservations “ and that is with any of the destinations, like chankanaab, Skyreef, paradise beach, Mr sanchos or any. Tell them yes, then they will continue to ask you like 3 times or more, oh you have tickets, you already bought them? What they want to do is sell you tickets or passes, they will tell you that you can’t just go get them there and the only way you can go is if you have them. I’ve been there 6 times now and only once was one of the places sold out, lol. So you pay the taxi ride price only, which is like 16 for up to 4 people. When you get there, if they are slammed they may tell you it’s only all inclusive on that day because they don’t want to charge people cc and slow things down, so they might tell you like 59 or 69 a person. But that only happened once to us, and we just walked up the beach to one that wasn’t full, lol. Hopefully, this helps, let me know if you have any other questions, and have fun!

    We just got back from Half Moon Cay, Amber Cove, and Grand Turk 2 weeks ago on Carnival Magic. In September 2023 we took a short 4 day on Liberty to Nassau (will never go back) and Princess Cays. We just booked Carnival Celebration for February 2025 going to San Juan, St. Thomas, and back to Amber Cove. I did a 7 day back in 2001 and we went to St. Thomas, St. Croix, and San Juan. I’ve always wanted to go back to San Juan and St. Thomas. My wife’s first cruise was on our Liberty cruise. She loves cruising now. Did I hear that right? Did you say it’s only $50 to rent a car for the day?!!!

  • @Snorktastic
    @Snorktastic3 ай бұрын

    Yes, it was dirt cheap, that was with all ad ons, so the actual rental was only 30 for the day. I think we spent 10 for the Ubers to get to the car rental place. The parking in old San Juan is tough sometimes but it was amazing to just go where we wanted to go

  • @Retro-2-now
    @Retro-2-now3 ай бұрын

    @@Snorktastic wow!! It was $140 for the day in Grand Turk, but we didn’t do that. We originally wanted to rent a golf cart because my friends had just been in GT the week before us and that’s what they did. Unfortunately Mardi Gras got to port an hour before us so all the golf carts were gone. The main reason we didn’t get the car was, there are trails you can take the golf carts through to get to other beaches and you can’t do that with the car. Hell, the golf carts are $120 in GT 🤦🏻‍♂️

  • @Snorktastic

    @@kakester8 So you are correct, the beach is more rocky here. It’s more a great spot for snorkeling, and still enjoying sunning, but without the soft Caribbean sand. If you want more of a real nice beach with soft sand go to paradise beach, it’s not as good of snorkeling so it’s kinda a trade off. Just watch my other video to get an idea of the beach there. Never snorkeled there, but I can't wait to do so w my hubby next time we visit the island! 😁 Hint: If you feel adventurous, you can catch one of the public buses 1-2 blocks from the cruise port (near Parque Colon / Columbus Park) for less than $2 pp and it will drop you off Luis Muñoz Rivera park that's across from the beach. It's not a long walk thru the park, to cross the street, to get to the beach. And the park is very pretty too! 😉
