Once the child is sleep trained with the Ferber method, will it hamper if a child's routine gets disturbed due to some unavoidable situations like travel or getting sick etc?

This works! I needed to be emotionally ready for baby to cry but baby slept after three rounds on the first night and has slept after one round since then. It seems barbaric lol but it really isn’t. Take a long weekend and get the process started. I wish I started a month earlier. I did it at 5 and a half months.

But as a caveat- you can tell when your baby is in distress. The cry is a little different. I picked up baby and all he needed was a burp and he went down to sleep in a few minutes

Really!! At 4 months leave a baby and go to job? Which doctor will advise this way, even if some does, it’s great for doctors to know a little baby psychology. Leaving baby in daycare or with different care givers from 4 months will mess mentally with your baby and grow up without real bounding and anxiety and so many other issues. Please search these consequences, sleep training is good not for going back to job, it’s good for mom health and baby independency and should apply in very smooth way.

Ha e a 7.5 year old and a 5 month baby. I am primarily responsible for the entire house, kids including school drop offs and pickups, drop off n pick up from all the extra curricular activities. Due to all of this, I could spend less time with my new baby n they had to be fed on formula. Now the baby doesn’t latch for longer. They want to be bottle fed. I pump occasionally. So breast milk is less but the baby is doing fine. Now 6th mo th started n I am starting semi solid n the baby already loves the food. I keep telling myself that I am doing enough for both the kids. N I should be proud no matter what everyone else says as nobody came for any help during and after pregnancy n postpartum. When they don’t help, I don’t take their feedback to heart. I need to stay sane to care for my kids.

It kills me to imagine not feeding my baby throughout the night. He’s a chunky boy at 4.5 months so he’s not wasting away, but man I’m almost in tears just imagining it! Also not that you answer anyone’s amazing questions, but maybe someone will see my comment who has an idea.. my boy started teething at 3 months, he’s 4 months 3 weeks, & a week ago popped his 2nd tooth. He’s still going through a bit of the pain atm but slowly getting better as it makes its way through. Would I wait to start this method until they’re both fully through. First one is almost finished, maybe another week, and 2nd one would still have 3-4wks maybeee to fully come through. Thanks anyone who sees this 😂❤

This advice is terrible. Since when did we become a society that prioritizes self? We should be promoting responsibility for others (our babies!) and prioritizing our baby's health over our own. Worst advice in this video.

Frequent cortizone steriod injections can degenerate the bone and cartilige. Steriods do have side effects. Anesthesia for joint replacement is dangerous for seniors and temporiarly or permanently affect brain function. My brain is more important than my knee.

Did this with both my kids. My daughter was a hard nut to crack but by 12-15 months she was sleeping 10 hours just fine. Now she's 3 y 8 m and is still a great sleeper. My son is now 8 months and I went from co sleeping and waking every 2-4 hours for feeding to sleeping alone in his crib for 11 hours in just 2 days with this method. The first night was painfully horrible. The second night he seems to understand a little better. The third night it was as if he discovered how wonderfully glorious a good, long peaceful sleep is. I set him in his crib, he makes himself comfortable and goes to sleep. I am so relieved. I wake up the next morning ready to be the best parent I can be. 10000% needed. Naysayers just don't know better 💯

I formula fed from the day one. The thought of breastfeeding, the sensory overload of the whole experience, freaked me out and caused me a ton of anxiety before my baby was even born. It’s not always worth trying. ☺️ My anxiety was relieved the minute I decided to formula feed and I’m a better Mum for it.

Hello! What if the baby uses a pacifier(only for nighttime and naps) but he doesn't know how to find it and put it back in his mouth yet(he is 5 months old). Will i be able to do tje Ferber method? Or do I have to get rid of the pacifier first? Because even when I'm rocking him to sleepc he sometimes takes it out of his mouth and can't put it back so when eft alone in the crib, i am sure it will fall out. What is the best way to wean off the paci at this age?
