  One of my all time favorite songs! I miss you Nanci! I am so thankful to have been one of your fans and i was blessed i got to see you in concert 3 or 5 times... just absolutely a solid performer and a talented musician.   We lost so many wonderful singer/songwriters too early cause of mental and physical deseases. I hope he called them home so early, to sing with the saints and angels. Always on my mind, Kate and all the others.

  This is why I love Emmylou Harris. She quickly realizes her voice doesn't fit this song, and just vamps her way through it, leaving Nanci and Nina to do the job. Which they do,in spades. Emmylou will have her day(which she did on the luminous "Love still remains")

  She came thru Santa Cruz all the time for concerts for Native Americans. Loved her and will always love her music and commitment to our communities. Rest in Power.

  I’ve heard Nancy and John sing this together and that is really beautiful, and I cannot imagine how it would be if Emmy had joined them with her harmony as in this version. I can imagine it would be just surreal. This is as good as it gets.

  Nanci's first appearance on Austin City Limits hooked me. Many's the night she sang me to sleep. The songs she wrote, the songs of others she gave her touch. What I would have given to spend an evening around a campfire with her and Emmy and a few others
