    R7 and 90D share the same sensor. And shooting the flowers at sun hard light with the 90D and the same flowers with no direct sunlight doesn't seams to be a good way to make a comparison. I have a 90D and I will keep using it for a long long time...

    The footage on both cameras was shot on different focal lengths so it does not help the viewer decide which camera is doing better. There should not be such a big difference in bokeh between 2 APS-C cameras and R7 appears to have too much bokeh. I've seen footage between eos 250D and R5 and the image quality and bokeh are very close in good light so 90D and r7 should not be so different after all.

    I bought the phantom 3 when it first came out for about 700 dollars. That drone was stolen from me by my ex "boss" who i hesrd gave it to his kids as a Christmas present. I bought a used P3 with carry case on ebay about 4 years later for 300 and it worked great till i broke gimble about 2 years ago. I just bought my third P3 for 65 bucks on ebay (drone only) and it works perfect. Have new gimble sensor on the way for my other. I have taken the P3 up to 1,650 feet....In unrestricted airspace of coarse.. handles great. Have flown it 7,000 feet away over open ocean and back from a moving boat. Have flown in gail force wind over open ocean to a half mile away and back, landing on a moving steel hulled ship. Have lost signal for 20 min over water, climbed to the highest roof i could find, caught signal on 2% and flew it back, catching it as it died Amazing drone. Will be buying the next 60 dollar one I find.

    Did you shoot the 90D in live view mode? This mode lets you use Dual Pixel autofocus rather than the inferior phase detect. I have the 90D and R7, and if people aren't interested in shooting the 90D in Live view mode (from the back LCD), then the R7 is a clear winner. Using the 90D in Live view, the autofocus results will be more similar between the two. If price is no concern, definitely get the R7. Just IMHO, but this is a nice review.

    I was torn between getting an R7, R8, or 90D for my next upgrade. I ultimately decided to go with the 90D mainly because the specs are good enough for my needs and there is a far more robust selection of lenses available on the EF platform.

    Hi, I’ve stumbled down the rabbit hole of wanting to replace/upgrade my camera. I currently have a (now discontinued) canon 200d which was perfect for my first ever camera. Mainly used for video and some photography. Now I’m really , really REALLY needing some advice … deciding whether to go for canon 90d, canon mark 5d iv, or canon R7 . The R7 looks attractive to me because of : the autofocus capabilities and the newer technology that come with mirrorless , I’m scared because of not knowing how to use it compared to my traditional camera , I’m embarrassed to say I have only ever used auto on my camera but I’m going to learn how to use manual. Also slightly worried about the ‘overheating’ rumours/problems with mirrorless, but apparently shouldn’t be an issue if I don’t intend to do shoot 30min + .. I’m interested in the canon mark iv because it seemed EVERYONE thinks it’s a beast and amazing but then after research I saw it’s better primarily for photography AND it doesn’t have a flip out screen (a feature I currently have and love) and then obviously the 90d …. I think is a really really good option as it’s a step up (several steps) to what I have and probably the most familiar one I’d be used to .. just scared of thinking the R7 is more superior I think is my problem… would really appreciate your thoughts.

  • @Dom_the_Bomb
    @Dom_the_Bomb Жыл бұрын

    As far as the length goes, I agree that all ties are different and should be sized accordingly but unfortunately I did not have time to elaborate on that within 60 seconds. Tie clips are most commonly worn straight but to make more of a statement they can be slanted. It’s a matter of opinion and to me also depends on what else I’m wearing (suit, type of tie, vest, etc.)

    Reports I am hearing is they are not hovering well. Everyone is recalibrating compass, controller and IMU. Still not solving the drifts. Did DJI do this on purpose? Why should it not fly as when new if the drone is undamaged and the last firmware was a solid performer. I think the Mini 2 is a solid performer to start with. But remember Drone Remote ID is on the horizion with the FAA.

    Just because YOUR 18-150 was faulty doesnt mean this is typical, in fact all things i read about the 18-150 were damn happy, and its in fact the only nice, native APS-C lens, anything else needs to be adapted or RF full frame lenses. I wish now i would have bought the 18-150, but i though i could get around with a similar and bigger aperture EF lens (which is in fact bigger and heavier, especially extremely front heavy with the RF EF adapter, the RF-S 18-150 is nice balanced, awesome zoom range and stabilizer, just a little bit too slow) I wish canon would release something like a affordable and small RF-S 15-45 2.8 or similar for wider stuff and somewhat portrait/bokeh capable in normal and slightly tele range.

    I love my 90D and I have been hoping Canon would make an RF camera with simular specs and the R7 is that mirrorless version. I said I'd never get rid of my full frame 5D mark III. But I may do a trade in at B&H and apply the amount I get for it to the purchase of an R7 and an EF to RF adapter. I'd still keep my 90D. I've been flying drones for about seven years now. I have a mavic zoom with smart controller and a mini 2 as well as several cheap drones just for fun. I'm a retired aerospace worker and needed something to keep me busy (out of trouble). I recently had the opportunity to buy a phantom 3 standard that is in excellent condition from a family member who just didn't have the same love of flying them. I've modified it to have FAA aircraft standard lighting (red on port (left) only, green on starboard (right) only with a few 5mm white LEDs facing forward. All are powered off of the motherboard and except for the white lights were an easy modification (have to drill holes). I'm still on the fence about tinkering with the up and down link antennas. A range booster for the camera and controller may be on the way too. After flying the others I can say that it is definitely a heavy stick drone meaning that the flight characteristics are about what I expected for such a heavy machine. It definitely goes through battery power faster than the others but it will handle some wind that the other lighter drones will not. I've had it at 200 feet AGL (above ground level) in roughly 12 mile an hour winds hovering and it was fairly stable with minimal drift of about one foot each direction due to gusting. My battery lasted about one third less because of the wind. Even taking off and landing in a cross wind was manageable. The camera is fine for my purposes as I mainly record video of flights in case of a wipeout lol. Ironically the exact P3S that I now have is the very first drone that I had ever seen and I'm glad I was given the opportunity to buy it. I would agree that it can still be a fun machine to fly. Just understand it's features and limitations and you'll be fine.
