I just found your video today. Very detailed. Thank you. I have purchased the same capacity controller It came without any cable and I am blind now. Please help me to get up and walk. I want to use this for my 4X 3.2 v lifepo4 batteries. How do I get a cable and how do I connect my lifepo4 batteries and capacity controller Thanks a lot for your time for coming to help me 😊

You got the purpose of this device wrong, its just meant to be used as a Bitcoin solo miner, under the guise as a space heater. It would be foolish to pool mine with this thing. Think of it like a lottery ticket, that has a chance albit very small chance of hitting a BTC/BCH block. I've purchased multiple myself.

Having spent over 20 years in electronic design, your use a decade box is a good idea, but your measurements are going to be off due to your jumper wires adding resistances. Your 1 Megohm resistor that you added isn't going to be precise either. A 1 Megohm resistor with a 5% tolerance can be off as much as plus/minus 50,000 ohms and still be in tolerance. You need to account for those resistances in your circuit and calculations. The idea and technique is good, but any unaccounted resistance can pose problems. Stay with a standard frequency and make sure it starts to rise at a zero point on the scope. A 1Khz frequency on a scope set for 500 hz per division should have a full wave cycle every two divisions making it easier to see where the signal is rising and falling. It also makes it easier in determining where your 63.2% time constant, that all capacitors have falls. Further set your x axis on the bottom curve and top curve lines, not above and below them. By setting the axis above and below your are setting a slightly higher peak to peak voltage than what is being provided by the signal generator. If the output of the generator is 1 volt peak to peak, your scope should show a square wave of 1 volt peak to peak. The theory is good, but every error in execution will increase the chances of error in precision.

Still helping people, 9 years later. My Roamia had been making this noise on and off for years, and I finally decided to take it apart and see if there was something I could do. I had some spray penetrating lubricant that I first sprayed with the fan on (covering the circuit board side to avoid getting oil everywhere) and again with the fan off. After a couple of minutes, I plugged it back in and the fan was completely silent. Thanks so much for the assistance!

Thank you for your very thorough walk through! It was exactly what i was hoping to understand for different application on a product we manufacture for transferring diesel while monitoring high on/off limits. As a previous water well contractor, i commend you for this clever use for monitoring a leak or a run dry scenario. Whenever your pump decides to go out, the tech will likely need to replace the wire going down the well. Based off your HP i'm guessing it's roughly 150'-250' deep. If you go to a 3 phase motor, you can run it on a drive (i always used the yaskawa IqPump micro) which is a bit more expensive but makes up for the cost in the price of being able to reduce wire awg. Those drives have pipe break, run dry, and a slew of other options that specifically target amperage dips and an array of inputs and outputs. Another alternative if you have a two wire pump or just dont want the 3 phase option is to use a symcom or franklin electric "pump saver" which works off the same amp dip and is a bit more economical. Anyways, thanks again for your demonstration, i have some re-wiring to do ;)

My Fluke 332 is the lesser B version i bought used 30 years ago. It went under salt water in Katrina and is in my Junk maybe fix maybe wait stuff. Lol. Even odder i have an ancient HP voltage calibrator too. A HP 738BR that is all tube based.. the voltage reference inside is a tube not a zener diode.

Truly exceptional explanation here. I have come across one of your videos before, but had quite forgotten until I stumbled across this - Yet again Martin, I’m astounded at your ability to convey really quite complex topics with brilliant analogies and clear, visual explanations. I wish I had teachers and lecturers with your skills for passing on knowledge at college and University 🙌 🙌 🙌. Glad you skipped revisiting complex numbers - Have vague recollections of the anxiety they first induced when badly taught to me in my first year at Uni. The other thing that really tickled me was that I’d been reading some standard text online (trying to refresh my memory/understanding) about op-amps, covering differential amplifiers and feedback loops, when I got distracted, thinking why the voltage output ‘very nearly’ follows the input (with feedback) without oscillating out of control, unless the op-amp gain was unity (and not 200k or so as is common). Spent a few minutes scribbling down some ideas before deciding to just leave it alone, as the text didn’t cover it and move on - Then later the text then came up with an explained jump from the formula Vout = Gain (V+ less V-) and (magically) “solving for the output voltage we get the following:” - but without any mention of complex numbers or how they ‘solved’ the math 🤣🤣🤣 - Vout = Vin / 1 + (1/G). Anyway, somewhat serendipitous and bizarre that hours later I found your video which totally nailed the subject and filled in all the gaps others had conveniently left out. The World needs more teachers like you. Well done 👍

If what ive read about this is true its only 30 cents a day profit, thats trash, not even worth screwing around with, besides heating up your house has got to be horrible in summer. And then you got electric costs, i dont see any upside to this besides a lottery chance. Six month to withdrawl because a minimum to with draw lol. This is a toy i wont be buying

I donot have the time or money to develop a new moisture meter. But you seem to have equipments. Can you build such a device, say that has a cubic enclosure, that has a laser to heat up a surface, it should vacuum out air in the enclosure, the laser will heat up a defined region, and then a probe inside the enclosure will measure the humidity generated.

Thanks for the video, glad you returned to yt :) I made myself a simple well water level meter with an ESP8266 and a cheap ultrasonic sensor, it's battery operated (battery lasts about 4-5 months) and it sends readings every 15 minutes. It is pretty accurate, within +/- 2cm (in my case 1cm water level equals 5 liter) and it works well for several years now.
