One day, I realized that the era was reached that it is possible to make my own CNC machine, and I made an amazing 5 axis CNC machine in 3 years.

So I have a project where I should transform an automatic Lathe Machine to a CNC one do you have any suggestions for the motor and the cnc board for drufelCNC or Mach3

I haven't weighed that one, but I think it probably weighs between 30 and 40 kg.

I understand that you don't like AI voices. I, too, prefer videos that speak with a real voice using a high-precision microphone. However, there are several reasons why I use AI voices. The biggest reason is that if I speak in my bad English, no one will understand what I mean and will think AI Voice is better. And another reason is that with AI Voice, I can create videos even on the train to work. It takes a very long time to make even a trivial video.

I am glad to hear woman's voice. She is a good assistant to your man's voice. Maybe in the next series she will recommend your to drink mineral water, doing exercises and bringing more money to home.

Mine use forged carbon combine with tempered aluminum for bolt attachment. I also use it to attach part which is bolted, act as dampers. For a thicker and longer parts like the gantry i put whole hollow steel inside, I also put pvc foam as core material to save $$$. Micro baloons add rigidity, mix it with epoxy resin. For cnc application cure it around 80°C, do not cure it higher than 100°C it will be too brittle and got less damping properties. Mine mainly use at moving parts like z axis, and vibration dampening. Forged carbon are much stronger than common cf if you put long strain of carbon, i got it from unidirectional carbon fiber. I got plenty cd from my 90s car wide body project.
Used compressed air to your body and clothes before taking a shower. It'll get worse if you take a bath before cleaning the dust. Clean your work area and change clothes immidiately. The dust will stay in your clothes even after you wash it. Woven fiberglass is a nightmare compared to just carbon fiber. I did not feel a thing from cf dust.
You are familiar with carbon fiber. I am not very familiar with it, but I find it very interesting. I can only do DIY level, but I think it is a very attractive material.
Carbon fiber is quite dangerous. Handle with care.
@@a-cnc-f Many youtube video demonstrate handling micro baloon without proper mask. This material rated at micron, and almost weightless. I use 3m auto painter/lab mask when handling aerosil.

Мне все же дико интересно что выйдет в итоге, потому что есть дикое ощущение что жёсткости не будет вообще никакой, для пластика и дерева может и хватит но вот для алюминия не уверен, да и с точностью скорее всего проблемы будут, но сам проект классный
@@krupnfs давайте я немного поумничаю. Как фрезеровшик 3его разряда(работавший только на производственной практике), техник-технолог(ни дня не проработавший), инженер-технолог(диплом холодильник подпирает) и токарь пятого разряда который уже два десятка лет крутит весь бестиарий станочного парка социалистических стран. Сила резания дерева и аллюминия не так уж сильно разнится. Некоторый породы дерева "жрут" твердосплав как аллюмишке и не снилось. Режимы резания, если по простому, практически идентичны. Подавляющему проценту деталей даже ответственных механизмов коссмическая точность нафиг не нужна. А если и нужна то она точно обеспечивается не фрезерной операцией. Все станки и даже новые - "кривые"по заводу. . Прямых линий в этой вселенной на практике нет и нуля нет. Только в голове в теории и степень приближения к ним в практике. Если брать производство сама концепция использования систем ЧПУ для еденичного производства не рациональна. Но все это не имеет никакого значения. То что нам показывают современные блогеры на мой взгляд это новый вид моделизма. Раньше дети и взрослые клеяли самолетики и кораблики. Теперь создают обрабатывающее оборудование и програмное обеспечение к ним. Механизмы которые могут создавать механизмы.И все это в простой квартире, даже не в гараже. Это одно из немногих проявлений 21 века в первой его четверти. И все это в формате шоу. Классно же. А штука будет работать. Это не первый проект автора. И она ни хрена не игрушечная. Там масса получилась несколько десятков килограмм. Ну а если гдето косяки, то на то контент и нужен. Это шоу кар.

The rough quick prototyping is probably the fastest way to learn what isn't going to work (fail fast). Accuracy and alignment are probably going to bite you but then again maybe not. As long as the linear rails are flat, parallel and aligned life should be good.

Freak, thank you for this project. I love the idea how you overcome unusual design limitations. It's not another ready project CNC build, but the creative process of engineering work. I also love the whole wibes of the channel with weird humor and text-to-speech software usage. It may seem unapropriate to someone but, dude, it's your own hobby, go the way you want! And to be more serious, if you will come to succsess with that build, please, consider its commercialization. It seem to fit the same segment as PentaMachine Solo: the small workshops or research labs, that need small size CNC for prototyping.
Indeed, I guess to be commercial you can scale it a little bit so it can make something like 10 cm in diameter, and you are in the ballpark of homemade turbo compressors!
At first, I wanted to use the Kickstarter to create a product. However, it was very difficult to be realistic about stable manufacturing, sales, support, insurance, etc. I am a reckless person, but I need my family's understanding. So I am thinking of creating an online course as a practical and easiest way. I don't think anyone can make this work, but it should be far easier than I have had to work with.

my favorite build on youtube! I show many beautiful women and its what I tell them at the bar. They are going to love me once I show them the amazing things the 5 axis can make for them like beautiful aluminum shoes and .... maybe a drink will help me think.
I am very grateful for this series. It explains every step in great detail. I am very excited for the next video on the wiring of electronics and the incorporation of Linux CNC into this project. I personally see this as the most difficult part of the project. Best of luck with the rest of the project.
The next step is to complete the wiring and set up the linuxCNC. Actually, the CNC unit is already built. There is nothing to worry about.

Angel was a bit too on the nose, so to speak, but, hey, you do you. Mute and subtitles fixes the issue. Love the machine. Reminds me of the times I redesigned and upgraded my 4 axis CNC. Learning experiences galore! Keep up the great work.

If you use HSS tools you wil get a MUCH better cut with less chatter and a better finish! Carbide inserts are for rigid machines with high rpm and high hp motors. With HSS tools you can grind your own (or order but its much cheaper and more efficient to grind your own after learning how to) and the thinner the cutting tip is the less torque required to take the cut, so for less rigid and low hp machines you can grind your tips nice and small with a sharp radius at the tip, this will give your machine an ENTIRE NEW LIFE! Without lubrication they can wear down quite quickly tho, but so can carbide! But when they wear down a quick regrind and were back in business! Any thread you need to cut, just grind it exactly to the example and run it! Any tiny bores needed you can grind some tiny boring bars or purchase them if not confident. HSS tools are very flexible im suprised you havnt dipped your toe in yet? Reply here if you want me to give a better rundown!

Have you tried adding a plasticizer to the epoxy so it flows better and doesn’t leave air bubbles. I heard that they use it in concrete so they don’t have to use as much water and make the concrete stronger

Hi in linuxcnc configuration wizard there is 4axis choice, how you install 5axis?
It is not possible to configure 5 axes using the configuration wizard. If you start up Linuxcnc, you will find a sample of 5 axes, so use it and modify it.

So far, no problems. I don't use it that often to begin with. And I don't have the power to do that much heavy cutting, so it's not enough to break me. For now.

These servo42c from Aliexpress SUCK. Bought 5 of them, 4 do not work (freeze after booting if EN or COM pin is connected to the controller
Does the motor not run completely after being turned on? If it runs a little but not properly, that could mean that the four wires leading to the motor are wrong. Another way to check is that one motor seems to work, so try replacing the encoder used in that motor with another encoder. If it does not work, the encoder is most likely the cause. It could also be a problem with the encoder settings. But if it is the default, it should be the same. Then use an oscilloscope to check the signals coming to the wires. A tester can also give you some idea.
