Loved to watch the original airings of Lancer & it still holds true today. They must have filmed this episode near an airport. You can hear a prop plane in the beginning & jet later on.

Oh my God he was so so beautiful, I still love him after 50 years.
59:09 The young, fetching female in summer attire showing plenty of skin is holding a color chart with several vertical strips representing different, key colors. That is a reference point to be used by the film lab as a guide for striking the 35 mm and 16 mm "air" and "back-up" prints for 20th Century Fox Television to deliver to CBS which of course insists in stringent quality control. Also vital for the lab striking dozens of dupe 16 mm prints to be sent to local stations who bought "Lancer" for airing after the network's cancellation of it in 1970. By fall 1966 all primetime network shows were filmed and aired in color. This full length "Lancer" pilot we're so fortunate to see was obviously a duped, less costly b&w print; perhaps used on the music scoring stage or one of the prints that made the rounds of U.S. military bases in South Vietnam where the American servicemen were desperate for filmed entertainment. The flesh tones of the model's skin are also key to calibrating precisely the 'perfect' print. This un-named, unknown model was no doubt enticing to the predominantly male editing and post-production professionals seeing her over and over on dozens of episodes of dozens of filmed programs. It's likely she may have had her own fan base. A vintage issue of American Cinematographer would be a starting point for ID'ing her. A catty remark would be: "With the exception of Susan O'Connell ('Warburton's Edge'), Melissa Murphy ('Blind Man's Bluff') and Donna Mills ('The Lion and the Lamb') she's better looking than nearly all of 'Lancer''s female guest stars." "Thank you, 'Lancer Fan.'"
Loved this series as a kid in 1968-70 & enjoy watching all of them on YT. This is one of my favorite episodes. How realistic it was when Andy shows up at the hotel "for all the fun" & Johnny grabs his ears & lets him know this isn't fun & shoves him in the hotel door. It actually made me jump a little! I bet Andy's ears were a bit sore after that scene.

“It’s not my fault I’m pretty.” Oh brother!
It’s always fun to see great old actors star on TV shows. Love Calhoun!
Stacey who plays Johnny had trouble with the law in the mid nineties. Later he was in a serious motorcycle accident that killed his girlfriend and seriously injured him. Too bad he didn’t make more TV appearances, or star in movies. I was sorry about what I read regarding him in wikepedia.
What a wonderful episode. The children and Jelly were so entertaining. I loved them! They were fortunate to have found each other when they did.❤😢❤

So sad when all someone can do is bring up the prison mistake. Did you forget about JS accident of being hit by a drunk driver that killed JS friend, crushed his left arm, ripped his left leg off at the croch with just a piece of exposed bone. So James lost his left leg and his left arm after it was amputated above the elbow. His promising career cut short as Hollywood didn't seem to find him acting jobs do to his disability. There are always idiots that can only talk about that 1 mistake. Could you cope loosing what JS did? Let him Rest in Peace 🙏. I will Remember James Stacy with Love, Respect and Understanding 💖💖💖💖💖
There had to be a great deal of PTSD involved. Shame
News Note: Elizabeth Baur Did NOT appear in this Episode!! I WONDER WHY ???????
Stephanie Powers putting on a County Kerry Accent !!, Hilarious!!
