Well where do I sign in
Head to account.microsoft.com in order to change your account details. There is a little pop up early on in the video with the address details.

There are restrictions on how many changes you can make to a Microsoft Account within a set period. This is to prevent bad actors from making too many changes to an account (usually spammers etc). I would suggest to give it a few days and try to change the primary alias then.

Yeah, unfortunately the Pixel 5 did not receive the Android 14 QPR1 release (which is the release directly following the last one the Pixel 5 got). This feature requires the QPR1 update.

Yes, this is to be expected. I mention this in my pinned comment. Samsung are using the Link to Windows application for this feature instead of the plug and play method that Google has added to Android.
Thanks - this is a great video! In my case, I am trying to set up 'workspaces' (maybe the wrong term) for projects, and then have areas for the different collaborative parts of those projects. For example, I am working as well as studying, so I would have a work workspace, and a study workspace - but then how could I have a 'folder(?)' for the different parts of the research I am doing within the study? At the moment I can only work out how to split it into work vs study but then everything seems to be all in the same area within those. Any ideas? Thanks!
That is a great way to use this feature! It will help you keep track of the different projects really easily! :) To keep tabs organised inside a Workspace, I tend to use the "Group Tabs" feature. Simply click and drag a tab on top of another in the same window and they will be grouped together. You can even name the groups and colour code them. This should help with further organisation.

How do I access the videos?
Accessing Videos via Phone Link doesn't seem to currently be supported. Only photos can be accessed this way at this time. I anticipate this will likely change in the future though as Microsoft is constantly adding new features to the app.

I want to set another primary alias and delete the old one but it said that i cant change it. Even i add email or outlook account in it. Do you know why is it and how can i change the alias.
If you are following the instructions as shown in the video, there should be no reason for it not to work. Can you provide more context around when the error occurs and what it says specifically? Just keep in mind that you can't add an existing Microsoft account address as an alias, so you cannot add any existing Outlook account (only creating a new one as shown in the video will work).
@@paulomalleyof course i followed your instructions. Both Outlook account and the email is not an existing Microsoft account. It say to me that "We were unable to make your primary alias. Please try again later." I've just log in and want to change alias and it say that. And i also tried to change it 2 month ago but it also say like that. Do you have any solution?
Thank you for confirming that for me, I appreciate it. Can you please also confirm one more thing for me... Is your current Primary Alias one of the following: @hotmail, @live.com, or @msn.com? If this is the case, that would likely be the root cause of the issue. If this is the case, I do not believe you will be able to change the primary alias of the account without help from Microsoft Support as there is a process on the backend that prevents the system from converting the current Primary Alias into a regular Alias.

Your Pixel 6A should have this feature available provided it is up to date as this rolled out with the Android 14 QPR1 update (in December). As for the Samsung, I cover this in my pinned comment.

Unfortunately not. It is a system wide setting on MacOS. If MacOS offers that sort of granular control at an OS level in future, then it would be possible for Scroll Reverser to work like that also.

It's not working for me. :-( Scroll reversal installs in my MAC M2 Max Studio, but when it comes to granting permissions, scroll reversal shows up in NEITHER lists so there's nothing to select. 😞 Any idea why it is happening? I did everything the same way as described in the video.
In these permissions areas of settings, you should be able to use the plus icon and manually add them if they don't automatically show there. Then all you should need to do is fully quit and restart the application.

@@AquilaTheHun it seems like the application file is likely still sitting in your downloads folder. You should be able to move it over to the applications folder if you like, but it will run just as adequately from the downloads folder too.
@@paulomalley Just talked to Nick the developer of the app. He suggested exactly the same and now it is working fine. Did not work run from the downloads folder. Getting used to Apple. It is way less user friendly as WIndows, one can argue but this is fact.

After opening the Zip file, nothing is the same as the video. There's no "xl" folder, just "EncryptionInfo" and "EncryptedPackage". Can that be fixed?
Ah, that implies that this file of yours is not actually a regular Password Protected Excel file. Your file seems to be protected by Information Rights Management which is completely separate to Password Protection in Excel. You can read more about it here - support.microsoft.com/en-au/office/restrict-access-to-workbooks-with-information-rights-management-in-excel-3525d8fd-4313-4645-b60e-5ec0e1b9c317#ID0EBBD=Windows But the short version is basically that the guide I have shown here isn't going to work for this as it is a completely different mechanism for locking the file that is not related to Excel itself.

@@paulomalley Unfortunately I did not see that until after watching the video and spending time trying to get it to work. Normally I block channels from appearing in my feed when they mislead me and waste my time, because SO MANY dishonest KZreadrs are doing that these days and my patience for it has worn extremely thin, but you seem like a nice guy and I don't think you knew about this when you made the video. Having said that, if it were me I would take the video down. You've got 62,621 views right now, and probably 30,000 - 40,000 of them wasted their time in the same way. I'm sure you want the views but honestly, it's not cool to do that to people, imo.

Yeah, I cover this in my pinned comment. Not all Android device makers are enabling this feature natively at this stage in time. This method will work for any Pixel device running A14 (QPR1 or newer) as well as any "Pixel Experience" style ROMS. And if your device maker keeps a pretty stock style, such as Sony or Nothing, this should work there too.

Unfortunately, the feature I demonstrate in this video doesn't seem to have rolled out the the Redmi 8 Pro at this stage. Any other option to use your phone as a webcam is going to require software running on the PC. Hopefully the newest updates to Android can start to get pushed out more widely so that everyone can use this feature.

If you were merging PDFs, the file should be in the same folder as the original files. Its name will most likely be "{name of the first PDF that was selected} 2".
What if I want to make a video that is completely live because I don't have time to upload it to platforms like youtube?
If you are playing a video locally on your device, standard screen sharing is generally fine, however you will generally get a lower frame rate on the recipients end. This is normal for screen sharing on most platforms. There isn't much that can be done about this in Teams at this time unfortunately. You could look at using tools like OBS as a Virtual Webcam and then use it to share your display. this would give you a higher frame rate, but then introduces complexity around audio sources and being able to ensure your audience can hear the video.

Wow, it's terrible! In my test, it gave inaccurate answers 2/3rds of the time and it won't even correct itself when confronted. At least the citation feature helps catch errors.
That is interesting. I haven't had any experience like that so far on my end. I assume that it is dependant on the volume and quality of the input source content. Since it doesn't rely on the Web or LLM stuff for the answers it generates, you can't really "confront" it per se on this. The only thing I can suggest is providing it with more source data so that it has a larger base to work from.
U`re right. All google`s AI software families (all gemini`s, including de ADVANCED 1.5 Pro) seem to deliver this kind of inaccuracies for me. They`re all very deceiving. I`m happy to see that I`m not the only one who`s having this issue. It`s funny because they charge 20$ for Gemini ADVANCED, despite being 2/3 inaccurate! In my case, it at least manages to correct itself and it`s very gentlemanly. But still......

I tried pasting text in markdown format but nothing happened. Is there a workaround for that?
Depending on what you are pasting in, there are different things to do. But overall, the MD support in Google Docs is more built with the idea of composing your content directly in Docs as opposed to pasting MD formatted content in. I can confirm that when pasting in a link in MD format, you need to press Enter after for the formatting to apply. I also know that code blocks are a little finicky in that you need to type ``` and then hit enter for the code block to appear, pasting in the full block in MD format won't auto apply unfortunately. As for headers and the like, they require the ## etc to be entered followed by a SPACE in order to apply. You can paste in the block of text and then simply go to each of these parts and select them and hit SPACE for them to apply.

Webcam must be a Pixel feature. Option not present on Samsung S24.
I cover this in my pinned comment. It's a feature of Android 14 QPR1, but some OEMs have decided to not include the feature. Samsung are looking to roll it into the Link to Windows features and currently only support it on Galaxy Laptops but are planning to expand it further over the coming months.

Sorry if this seems silly, but how can I enable or purchase Teams Premium to access the live transcript translation feature? I tried it on my personal Teams account, but the spoken and transcript languages are the same, and I can't change them.
Not a silly question at all. Teams Premium is one of Microsoft's commercial offerings and is an add-on on top of M365 Commercial. You would likely need to purchase this as a business through either Microsoft directly or a Cloud Solution Provider (CSP).
This doesn't work for me. After zipping the Excel file I'm unable to open the zip. "Windows cannot open this folder" apparently it's invalid
That seems like an unusual thing to see if you followed the directions of the video. Is your file saved to a cloud location like OneDrive possibly? If so, try this process again with the file in a non cloud save location. It's rare, but I've seen some cases where having the file syncing to OneDrive can prevent you from being able to modify it.

I wouldn't go with Windows 7 for this. Windows 7's File Explorer doesn't support natively opening ZIP files like modern versions do. Windows 10 and 11 do though. And for what it is worth, I performed this whole process on Windows 11 for the video.
