The book of shadows is supposed to be perfectly imperfect just like humans and nature and everything else in the cosmos. Also I am trying to learn Old Norse and both Old and modern Icelandic which has given me ideas already and I have also seen runic writing i just don't know how to translate the earliest version of Old Norse as far as runic goes. And there's actually three different styles of the elder futhark runes not limited to Swedish, Norwegian and Danish. Blessed be and stay safe

I'm sorry you feel this way! This is a bit of a shorter video I guess. My book review videos don't tend to do very well so I've been trying to cut them shorter to make more time for more in-depth learning videos. I appreciate the feedback though and will bear this in mind for future review videos 😊

Yes, I really loved this book. I finished it about a month ago. It is packed full of info from beginners to more intermediate. It is definitely ceremonial in nature, which I like as I have been working with a lot of ceremonial magick this year. You could definitely adapt the rituals to suit your own style. It is the best in-depth spirit work book I have read to date. Loved the video ❤

So, when people talk about 'don't incorporate from a closed practice '... I've understood that to be certain Wiccan type covens, etc, where you would have to go through a study period of a year and a day before you actually get initiated into the inner circle, so to speak, of that practice. If that's the case, you wouldn't be privy to being able to appropriate anything, I would think. There is so much information out there and it just seems that if it's a closed practice, you wouldn't find any of that out in the public realm. So, in essence, I have no idea what you mean by using something from a closed practice.

I'm from Brazil, and I am a multiethnic person (Iberian-African-Amerindian descent). I usually define myself as a "polytheistic and animist witch." However, after watching your video, I realized that my practices are more aligned with Folk Witchcraft than Traditional Witchcraft. But which folklore? That's the hardest question. What can I incorporate into my practices and beliefs without appropriating from other cultures, whose people might get upset? Indeed, I have three centered devotions: to some African (Osanha) and Afro-Brazilian (a spirit that my grandparent used to worship) entities, to Greek - Roman deities (Hekate and Diana), and to the land and local spirits, both from my bio-cultural region and from my home. I consider this to be ethical, but sometimes I wonder, how can I be sure how ethical it is? It's a little bit more complicated at the ex-colonies...

Traditional witchcraft is the ways of the “ old” meaning Pre Christian etc. They don’t follow Wicca. Unfortunately now..everything is getting watered down and everyone has an opinion. I’m so glad I learned from elders about the true meaning of witchcraft and the diversities 💕

Imagine someone digging up information on you for 3 years terrorizing you I asked them to STOP ✋️ over and over it has been an absolute night mare pretty sad that I have to go to this to protect myself from this manipulator walking in my home while I am not at hike discusting there are many that I will do this with. I have a leather bound journal that was a gift from my mother about 10 years ago. Have I used it? No. It's been deemed far too precious and even trying to figure out what to use it for causes me anxiety. I thought I came up with something to dedicate it to but chickened out. UGH. I have used a binder for my BOS for decades and it is what works for me. I can switch things around, add things, remove things, all without having to worry about "ruining" the book. I also have a binder dedicated to a specific topic or area of interest, which makes it super easy to find the info I am looking for. It contains a ton of info and would basically overtake any other book I tried to include it in so keeping it separate is best.

I love book reviews and book shelf tours, especially when someone has more than the latest fluffy releases on their shelf - like you do. Of course I watched til the end and I may need to watch again to jot down the titles I’m interested in. I don’t think you listed them in the description box?

🌖Hey Ari! For the Grimoire Binders, the Dividers need to be bigger than the ones you can buy because of the size of the plastic sleeves. My solution is to get poster board and cut out custom tabbed dividers. Paint markers can be used for decoration and labeling. 🙂
